This is a top-notch salon - best in its class. I have been to many "strip mall" nail salons, including some closer to my house, but since finding Hanna Nails about 4 years ago, I haven't been tempted to go to any others. This salon has been in business for over a decade in the same location, and most of the customers I've observed are regulars. I'm not surprised. The services I enjoy here include pedicures, manicures, and acrylic/fiberglass nails. I've been very impressed with all of them. The pedicure technique they use is very thorough and leaves your feet baby-soft. They take the time to buff all the dead skin off using a tool that resembles a large emery board - it is very gentle, yet works far better than the pumice stone type buffers used by other salons. The spa pedicure chairs are very comfortable, and the whole experience is a terrific value for the money. Vicky does all of my manicures, full sets, and fills, and she is excellent. I've never been hurt, or had a less than perfect set of acrylics from this salon. Finally I should mention that the atmosphere here is very pleasant and fun. Everyone is chatty, the staff members joke with each other and the customers, and there is no stress or drama. After a few visits you feel like family. I didn't have a great experience here. 1) They are overpriced. 2) They don't have a lot of nail colors for gel manicures. 3) The gel manicure I got was HORRIBLE. I got a simple french manicure and the tips were done sloppy. I asked her to fix it, but she only made it worse. 4) The pedicure was not that great. The visit was a waste of my money. I basically left here and went to another nail salon to get my mani/pedi fixed. read more

Looks like your run of the mill Asian owned strip mall nail saloon, but this place has character. Family operated, the banter back and forth between the nail artists is pretty amusing. It seemed everyone there was a return customer chatting it up and sharing inside jokes. As for the nails, I'm pretty pleased. I got those glittery tips, full set for $35. Been there multiple times with my mom for pedicures. We get our pedicures done by the mom of the shop. She works so hard in what she does and never complains. It's not a spa so the price is right and you get what you pay for. The family is very friendly, joke around a lot, and are always welcoming. My friend suggested Hanna Nails to me for a pedicure, and since that day, I haven't looked back. I have now been multiple times, and with each visit I leave eager to come back. The location and decor aren't the most impressive, but they are not representative of the work they do. There are three different options on the menu to choose from for pedicures, all of which are decently priced. They have several polish options, although I usually stick to my favorite select colors. Before every pedicure, the staff has ensured that I am comfortable, the temperature is just right, and they even remind me to take advantage of the massage chairs. The staff are always friendly, and work hard to make sure you are 100% satisfied before you leave. The only true downfall is that they only accept cash payments. read more

The place is ok. Not great and nothing special. It was by far, the ugliest, ran down nail salon I've ever been to. They also don't accept credit card/debit payments; cash only. When I arrived, the door was locked. I guess because there was one lady there that was alone. She took me in immediately for a pedicure. When she about 15 minutes away from being finished, a new customer came in. She told the customer about 15 minutes, but then stopped on me to go help her and set her up in a chair. Hanna's is located in the Safeway strip mall on Elkhorn Blvd just off the I-80 freeway. I started getting manicures and acrylic full sets here in March 2016. The owner (Hanna) is usually working alone, occasionally her daughter Cathy helps. Cathy does awesome nail art, especially in Gel: if you are lucky enough to visit on a day that she is working, ask for her to do your gel polish. Last Christmas, she did a full set of gel-over-acrylics with tiny snowmen and Christmas trees on a friend of mine that was as good as any nail art I've ever seen. Because Hanna's is basically a 1 employee shop, with Cathy only there occasionally, it is highly recommended to call ahead for an appointment. Hanna does take walk-ins but if she has a client, you might have an hour or two to wait. NOTE: This is a cash-only business, but there is a Golden 1 with ATM in the east end on the mall if you need to get cash. Hanna and Cathy are both very friendly and welcoming. If you are there for a pedicure, the salon just got 4 or 5 new pedi chairs in May 2017. There is a good selection of colors in both regular and gel polish. The price list indicates that she does extensions in silk wrap, acrylic, and gel, although the one time I tried gel extensions, two of them broke within hours. The acrylic extensions Hanna does are much stronger and I've only occasionally broken one, and those were when I was doing something like lifting a heavy object. When Hanna does acrylic extensions with regular polish, the polish lasts 2 weeks before starting to wear around the edges, and her gel polish jobs last about 3 weeks (on acrylic) before chipping. An acrylic full set costs $25, and fills are $16. The customary tip is $5. Pedicures are also $25. I got a French manicure once, done in gel over an acrylic base, and it was very nice. NOTE: Hanna does Acrylic extensions over glue-on tips, rather than the alternative method using nail forms. read more

I have been going to Hannah Nails for the last 18 years, ever since they have been open and they are truly the best nail shop in town. It is a family owned business and they make you feel like "FAMILY" everytime you walk in their shop! I have been to quite a few other nail shops in Sacramento and realized that there is NO ONE is Sacramento that does nails as good as they do. Vicki makes sure that the tips she puts on does not chip and they definately do not lift at all. I think they do a great job and the atmosphere at the nail shop is fun and this family has the best sense of humor as well. They all make going to the nail shop fun. They really try to bend over backwards for their customers. They treat everyone like family. If you have little ones that have to come with you while you are getting your nails done, Mom will pop on a DVD movie just to keep them busy until you are done! They accomodate everyone very well. Very disappointed from this place, the girl who did my nails i believe was Hanna, did a horrible job. I was telling her how i wanted them and she would just nod and keep doing it her own way. Was filing my nail and cut my finger that it was bleeding, i told her it hurts and that she cut me and she literally just rolled her eyes at me and kept filing in the same spot.
