Picture this: You cut your hand with a knife at work and you need to get some stitches. You look for the closest urgent care and see they close at 6pm. You show up at 4pm to find a nurse outside the door crying just wanting some papers. You try to go in and it's locked. The extremely rude staff decide to yell across the room through closed doors they're closed. You try to inquire about why because it's only 4pm and you urgently need stitches but they scream "We're f#$!ing closed, if you stay we're calling the cops". Unreliable, Unprofessional, overall does not care about patients, do not waste your time. read more

I went to this Urgent Care as my Dr. had said he'd see me 3 days later, I knew based on how I felt that I needed something now, it was my first visit to a Urgent Care and believe me I'd go back. I was seen seems like been there only an hour or less, bad timing ...lunch time...so not a long wait at all, took my B/P and trust me every time I have gone to my own Dr. it is high, not so that day, Dr. Sean very professional came in did what Dr. does when presented with a new patient, diagnosis Sinus Infection, wrote RX and here it is Thursday evening and tho I'm not all better I sure am better then I was and wish he'd open a office as I felt very comfortable with him, the staff, was friendly, All good and sort of sad to see ones on Dr. you'd best schedule when you plan to be sick. read more

First, let me say that the nurse at the reception desk and the nurse in the room were fabulous. This review does not reflect on their caring professionalism. However, the doctor / PA that saw our son does not need to practice medicine and has no real business treating anyone. He has a personal agenda and our son would still be in danger if we had stayed at the urgent care. I am fully aware of Covid as we have all lived it for over 2 years. However, you have a real problem if your only issue is asking my son if he took a rapid test and is vaccinated and then make a smart ass comment about being in 2020 all over again. My son had trouble breathing, had severe congestion, was extremely hot to the touch with no fever, felt like he was passing out, had a pain under his left breast bone, and had felt better the night before and then declined rapidly in the morning. My son then began feeling tingly in his face. The doctor gave us our options which we're doing a Covid test there or taking him to the hospital. We of course opted for the hospital. His only focus was talking about negative pressure rooms and how anyone would have to check for Covid before they did anything. My son actually asked us to call an ambulance which we did. Again, when the EMTs and firefighters arrived his only comment was that he needed to be tested for Covid 19. I have never been more relieved than when we got out of this place. They never truly triaged my son or provided him with any type of true healthcare. He was transported to the hospital where he was treated. NEWS FLASH: HE DIDNT HAVE COVID! He had another virus that is going around, was dehydrated, and had strep throat on top of that. His pain was coming from his spleen which he is still getting checked. Fortunately, his body is doing its job. However, his recovery has nothing to do with Niceville Urgent Care. He was shamed over something that would statistically give him no issues and never treated for what made him sick. This review in no way takes away from Covid. However, it is a factual account of our visit and this place. My son could have been suffering from a major medical condition and was in obvious distress. Since this visit, I have asked others about this urgent care. The consensus is "never go there" there is another urgent care just down the street that they would use. For this doctor / PA, you live with the fact that you did absolutely nothing for a scared 18 year old who came to you looking for medical treatment. You failed my son and your profession and have no business practicing medicine. Luckily, we sought treatment elsewhere and he continues to improve. read more

I went to the Urgent care on 3/6/23 to find out why I have bleeding in my throat and nose. I explained that my insurance was re-instated and showed a letter from Florida Blue. the letter has my member number on it as well. the receptionist stated that the card number is needed. I called Florida blue and request for my ID number. At that time, the receptionist interjected to me while I was on the phone w/ Florida blue. She stated that if the information could be sent to the clinic as their access to florida blue was not operating. I then asked the agent if the information could be emailed to the clinic. As I was getting the information, the doctor came to the front, left his patient to tell me that I can pay cash and that I should be prepared for the visit with the proper identification. I then asked him why is he out there talking to me when the receptionist was there. The doctor said I was yelling when I am having a hard time being understood. The receptionist left the room. The second receptionist told me to leave because I was rude. I feel that they were not helpful to be seen at the clinic and 3 people were against helping me at all. read more

Quick, and friendly service! I arrived about 10-15 minutes early and waited for them to open. I was one of the 1st people to be seen, and in 45 minutes I: filled out the 2 pages of new patient docs, they added me to the system, I paid, they did a dip stick for my kidney infection, nurse took some stats, and I talked to the doctor Shawn for a few minutes, and I was out. I had gone to an urgent care facility in another city that didn't listen to me, which is why I had to go to urgent care again - but Shawn listened to my needs, heard what I told him had worked in the past, and they sent to prescription to CVS in 2 minutes. In some of the other reviews on Google I saw some complaints about wait times and staff. If you are concerned about wait times, and are able to go early, be early and wait in line. If you are concerned about the friendliness, some people aren't smiley all the time. But 2/3 people I spoke to (front desk and doctor) were incredibly friendly and warm. 1/3 (the nurse) wasn't smiley, but she was very professional, respectful, and said "you're welcome" after I said thank you. She was quick, explained things well, and I would certainly look forward to having her help me again. Smiling or not. I highly recommend Niceville Urgent Care and I'm so thankful they are here now. read more

I brought my 92 yr old mom for a suspected UTI which can be very dangerous at that age. The waiting room was jam packed. No one was at the front desk. I yelled "hello" and someone finally showed up. She was rude. There was no where to sit. Thankfully my mom had a walked that had a seat. We waited, and waited and waited. No one was left in the waiting room. We were finally seen by two females, probably nurse practitioners. They were not friendly and just seemed to want to leave for the day. They asked me to take my mom to the bathroom to get a urine sample. She couldn't provide one. We went back and they took my mom's bp, which was high. Mine probably was too due to having to wait over 3 hrs! They told me they couldn't do anything and to go to an ER after waiting for 3 hours! We left and went to Sacred Heart ER where she finally received the care she needed. Her bp went down to normal and she was given the antibiotics that she needed. Office experience, care quality and type of care at this urgent care are 0 out of 10. I will never suggest this urgent care to anyone. I wouldn't even take my dog here!! read more

I went to this urgent care and the care was not great. Waited over 2 hours then after being seen, I left. Only to find out the billing department does not know how to bill correctly. I have asked they submit it correctly and then they sent me to collections. Substandard care and the billing department does not have a clue how to bill out of state. If I could give no stars this place would get that. read more

I had lost my hearing in one ear due to wax build up. At the time I didn't think I had an infection as my ear was just clogged so we went with ear drops. Several days later my ear was still clogged and it now began to hurt. I called the office requesting an antibiotic at this point as it is hurting and my ear is still clogged running the risk of hearing loss. I was reluctant to go back into the office as so many people in there for Covid testing. Since he already had seen me, he phoned in my prescription, saving me hours of time and avoiding all those sick people. There is a long wait to get in as they are slammed busy and likely short staffed like everyone else. read more

Went to Urgent Care on New Year's Eve, the women at reception was really rude and had a bad attitude. They locked the front doors 1.5 hrs early because there were too many people already in the lobby. They did not post a sign on the door, so of course people were trying to come in since according to the the posted hours they should be open. They complained loudly every time someone tried to come in. This was stressful for all the sick people waiting to be seen. read more

Giving this place 4 stars because I waited a godly amount of time and the sun beaming from the windows just made me HOT when I'm already feeling miserable. But I will say that I have severe anxiety when it comes to drs. Offices, I have never liked them. The nurse who helped me was amazing!!!!! She was the best and I wish I could remember her name. Niceville urgent care is amazing! I saw them on Feb 25th for a walk-in appointment due to a severe sinus infection. Doc Shawn Taylor was so nice and helpful. He prescribed me a combination of antibiotics, a steroid, and a cough suppressant. The med combo was extremely helpful in reducing my symptoms. They have almost alleviated completely apart from a post nasal cough at night. I waited about 15-30 minutes for my appointment despite 5 people in front of me. The whole appointment about 45 minutes. I would definitely recommend this place to others without hesitation for a quick appointment when you are feeling terrible and need immediate intervention. read more

I have been dealing with Billing department for almost a year and they have been unable to correct a mistake on both my children's accounts that should have been cleared up months and months ago. Not only that they promised me while they were clearing up the issue that I would not be sent to collections only to find out they sent me to collections. Completely incompetent billing department. Will never go back here ever again! Not worth the hassle and hours and hours I have spent on the phone dealing with this. read more

Excellent place. Friendly compassionate staff. Clean office, short wait times, excellent bedside manner and treatment.

I witnessed the receptionist walking away after a patient knocked on the front door at 5:30pm. When we called the hours of operation were until 6pm as stated on their door. This was such a horrible experience to see a sick human being treated like this. The receptionist on duty looked at the patient and walked away. If you are ill or have the flu, your best bet is the minute clinic down the road. Worst customer service ever. The wait in traffic going into Destin would be probably also be your best bet at survival. The receptionist walked away and did not even have the courtesy to let the patient know they were closing earlier. read more

Imagine going to sleep every night, feeling some sense of comfort and tranquility. You put yourself to rest knowing that in a few short hours,  you will wake to excruciating pain. Now imagine having to repeat this cycle every damn day. I went into this facility having read all the bad reviews and praying for a different experience. After 2 yrs of this vicious cycle I finally received REAL patient care. From the receptionist to the doctor, to the trainee, I was cared for and not treated... like a criminal. They listened to the complexity of my situation, they took all my concerns into consideration and they even tried to work with the VA before hand to help me avoid financial issues. After a simple prescription,  I woke up very ill today, but with no pain. For the first time in 2 yrs,  I woke up with no pain because they chose to listen. I also have a new course of testing to pursue along with some diagnoses. Imagine if we all had this experience at every doctor's visit. I hope everyone understands what took place here, so that the staff continue to work hard on caring for all patients as they did for me and so that patients really speak to what experience they are expecting from them before hand. Let your doctors know you are seeking care on your journey to treatment. It's about time Okaloosa county builds a facility where patients are human first,  sick 2nd and liar's, only when they prove themselves to be. God bless you all. read more

Brought in daughter while on vacation, and a Nurse Practitioner diagnosed her accurately, and called in a prescription to a CVS pharmacy just a few blocks down the road. Very friendly staff, from office worker to LPN to Nurse Practitioner. read more
