I placed an order and walked to the coffee shop, only to be informed that they were bought out and didn't even have my order or the right ingredients to make it. Instead of a refund, they offered to make me a regular coffee which I declined. I took a long walk just to go there to pay $12 for coffee that didn't exist and a coffee shop that doesn't exist as of 2 weeks ago! They need to take their ordering down and website if they won't fulfill your order. It's absolutely stealing my money!!!!! This is a small little coffee shop located inside the Riverwalk Plaza Hotel. My friend stopped in here for an ice americano SF vanilla coffee & she said it was really good. I didn't end up getting anything as I found their coffee cup sizes to be small & I wanted something a little bit bigger. They didn't have many items for sale. Like 2 danishes on display, limited drinks in their cooler & the menu is small. If you're not a picky coffee drinker & aren't looking for a big food menu then this is your place! San Antonio, TX June 10, 2025 From across the street, my first glance of Niche Coffee Company gave me the impression there was some rich history inside the building; so I had to look it up while waiting on my cortado. Turns out the cafe sits on the corner of The Riverwalk Plaza Hotel; once the garage to The Plaza Hotel. It was once boasted as the "finest hotel in the South" during the 1920's. The Plaza stood on an island in the San Antonio River up until 1926 when the water was channeled away in flood-control work. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The building is not as lavish it was during its heyday golden era, but the bones are still there. Spanish heritage remains in the arches, carved stone and tile floors. I found the location to be captivatingly beautiful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Niche Coffee Co.and their friendly baristas now welcomes coffee lovers on the corner street level of The Riverwalk Plaza. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cafe is modern yet comfortable and cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I read a couple chapters of a book and sipped happily on my very well made cortado. It was bold in flavor and served at a perfect temperature so it was smooth and velvety just the way I like it. The shop uses coffee beans from Quantum Coffee Roasters, a local San Antonio roaster. There was a number of folks waiting for their drinks and they were unloading a Costco run it seemed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There were 3-4 staff members. 10 minutes went by and everyone after me was served multiple drinks and even food items. When I went up to ask if they were working on my drink, they said in a snarky attitude it'll be done in a few seconds. When another staff member came up, I asked if there was a reason why everyone was served before me and she was the only one that said she may have misplaced the ticket. The others seemed very annoyed with the fact that I was trying to run to my meeting, and I was concerned about my order being ignored. My entire office goes there daily. I was not expecting an attitude or lack of concern on their part. Businesses get busy but to feel like you're the problem. It's just odd. read more

Was in town for work and stop to get a coffee. It's right by the courthouse in an original building the wood and the trim and the tile work very nice big bar back love the styling.
