The food here was delicious and very reasonably priced. We ordered the beef and lamb gyro and a chicken souvlaki bowl. The gyro was satisfying without feeling overly heavy. Sometimes gyro meat blends can be a bit greasy, but this one felt nicely balanced. The pita was excellent as well--soft, not too thick, and not dry at all. The chicken souvlaki bowl was the real standout. It felt both healthy and flavorful. The kale looked simple at first, but it was perfectly dressed and surprisingly tasty. The fried chickpeas, pickled red onions, hummus, and rice were all well balanced, and the rice was moist rather than dry. The chicken souvlaki itself was juicy and tender. My partner and I both loved this dish. Our food came out very quickly, which was a nice bonus. There is not a lot of indoor seating, but there are more tables outside. The restaurant is also located in a very pleasant plaza. We will definitely be coming back to try the plate and the steak bowl next time.

They've tweaked their recipes lately and the changes break bad. For example, the Prasini Salad used to be craveable and was simplified and made 'meh'. When I have a hankering for an authentic Gyro, this is where I come. Nicks still uses lamb in their vertical rotisserie mixed with Beef. Their Gyros are well prepared, perfectly seasoned and delicious. It's a much shorter than Athens. Wonderful- highly recommended! read more

Rating this for the froyo only! Honestly was surprised to see they had other food here and wasn't just a frozen yogurt shop because all the videos online were solely talking about how good the froyo was here. I tried their baklava frozen yogurt and it was delicious! First time trying baklava and I really liked the texture, but next time I would get just it plain because the tartness was absolute perfection. The portion size is absolutely massive for what you pay, will definitely be coming here on the regular now. read more

We've been here twice already, so it's safe to say we like this place. We've tried the beef/lamb gyro, the chicken gyro, and the chicken souvlaki, and the meat has been consistently good. The real star, though, is the pita. It's fresh, soft, and absolutely delicious. The only letdown has been the fries in the pita. Both times they were pretty underwhelming and seemed like they had been sitting for a while. Improving those would make an already good meal even better. Service is quick and efficient, even with the steady stream of takeaway orders. There are only a few tables inside but plenty of outdoor seating. Overall, it's a solid spot for Greek food, and we'll definitely be back. read more

I come here every Thursday with my special needs friend & Ty is super friendly every time and makes us both feel like family. Roman always cooks the steak TO PERFECTION. I'm very picky with my steak and this spot ALWAYS hits. It's really nice to go to places with someone who has disabilities and they take the time to make them feel noticed and important. Ty specifically has exceeded the expectations and gone above and beyond at my making my special needs friend feel welcome. For that, you have a customer for life! read more

BOY THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD! My boyfriend and I went to Greece last summer and have been craving Greek food here in the states. We've tried many OC Greek spots and attended many Greek festivals but Nick the Greek just knocked our socks off. The cashier, didn't get his name, was so helpful and attentive. We sat outside and enjoyed everything (food, location, and drinks). The restaurant was clean and the food came out so fast. 10/10 experience! read more

Late afternoon lunch, not busy and got our food hot off the grill. There's tables inside but we decided to get fresh air and ate on the patio. Portions were larger than expected, probably could've done without the fries. The chicken was moist and pita was soft and fresh. Instead of taziki they use a honey mustard. Different but good. We also had the gyro lunch combo. Both were good. Combo meal was about $16 came with the pita sandwich, fries and a soda. read more

We had made reservations with a note that we were celebrating our anniversary but they don't acknowledge celebrations I guess so if you are wanting something special at the restaurant perhaps not this place.

Discovering Nick the Greek one weekend after a bike ride around Newport was a happy accident. My friend and I were starving, and while the Bluffs Plaza has plenty of great spots, Greek food sounded perfect. I had a tough time choosing between a falafel pita and a veggie one, but I ultimately went with the veggie pita. The roasted veggies were cooked to perfection, and the pita itself was soft, fluffy, and full of flavor--absolutely delicious. I also ordered the Greek fries, minus the feta. The aroma alone was incredible, and if you love garlic, you'll be obsessed with these fries. They were bold and flavorful without being overpowering. The only downside? The wait time. For some reason, the fries took longer than expected. Luckily, it was a beautiful day, so we sat outside, where there's plenty of seating. I imagine it gets busier during peak lunch hours. Would I recommend this place? Absolutely! I'm still thinking about that delicious pita and those fries. read more

Chicken Souvlaki - burnt pita, rock hard fries, hormone tough to chew leg meat on a stick with zero flavor. I took a bite and spit it out. Nasty dish, really really bad. 3. Loukoumades - How can you mess up a greek dounut? Microwave it.. and give it no flavor! yep you delivered on the grossest dessert I've ever tasted. Brush up on your recipes go to Great Great in Sherman Oaks. You'll learn how to make Greek food. I haven't eaten there in years.. but from what I remember, it's a 1000x better. read more
