I had been meaning to try Slice for a while and finally did today. It's going to become a regular thing. The food was excellent. I had a couple of slices, cheese and pepperoni. The crust was great. No floppy slices here. Just well structured dough. It's a really interesting space as well inside a gas station but it works. The location is convenient and there's a descent amount of space. The service was friendly and they bring the heated slices to your table. All in all a great little place. I'm anxious to try their sandwiches and pasta dishes. read more

Pizza was below average. Just cheese and pepperoni slices when I was there (plus calzones and Sicilian options). Women's restroom was out of hand soap. Pepsi in the fountain machine was out - they fixed it when I asked them to, which was nice. Great prices but the quality, attention to details and slices options keeps this 2 stars. read more

Heard this was the best pizza place from a gas station, but we were less than impressed. I didn't like the sweet sauce, and it reminded me of Domino's as far as taste. We ordered a Cheese Pizza and a Grilled Chicken Pesto Pizza, which tasted better than the cheese, but was very oily. The dough was pretty tough to chew and we had to throw them both out, which I'd like to avoid at all costs (no pun intended). Sadly will not return. read more

Being born and raised in Lynnfield, Slice was always one of my favorite local pizza spots on the north shore. Great brick oven style pizza. Yesterday I visited for my first time in town in 3 years and in less then 2 minutes in line waiting to order, the man at the counter said "yeah but I'm not a f@g or anything" to the customer ahead of me. The worker and customer seemed to be friends and the conversation was casual. I was shocked to hear homophobic slurs being causally thrown around in any setting, let alone a customer service setting in 2024. I immediately left Slice and found another pizza shop. The pizza still smelt great, but the environment has become less than "inclusive" to all guests. read more

I guess its my fault for ordering a chicken caesar salad at a gas station pizza joint, but.......There were four lettuce cores in my salad and the dressing was kind of gross. I've eaten here before and it was so-so. The grilled chicken was fine, but the rest of the salad was not. No offense, but lettuce cores should go in the garbage, not someone's lunch! read more

After hearing rave reviews, decided to come see for myself. We've ordered take out twice and I have mixed opinions. Service over the phone is less then friendly (not a big problem); I've had worse and good food always makes up for it. Thin crust pizza. Cheese pizza was pretty good but not anything I couldn't get at several other local pizza spots. I came here because I heard they do one thing exceptional; buffalo chicken pizza. After ordering that, I was definately underwhelmed. The pizza had very little chicken and the pieces we did get were chewy. And it costs $7 more than a cheese pizza. I can think of several places close by that offer better pizzas so I doubt we'll be back soon. read more

The pizza here is really good. I've had a buffalo chicken calzone and slice of pepperoni. Both were excellent, I just wished the calzone came with a dipping sauce and the pepperoni wasn't overly salty as it usually is! I've also had the slice salad which was super fresh and a very big portion. The house dressing is basically oil so if you want something more flavorful, swap it out. read more

Who ever would have thought a gas station is some place you'd want to eat at, let alone get quality, great tasting food! 2 slices get a free fountain soda, can't beat that! We aren't taking small slices either! These things are massive! I see why @phanthomgourmet recommend this place. From the front it's an ordinary gas station to fill up and get snacks. Obligatory "I wish I could give this place 0 stars". I've ordered here before and had great pizza, so I put an online order in on my way home from work. I get there early, the guy at the register doesn't have a mask on, the girl there doesn't have a mask on, and the guy spinning my pizza dough has his mask around his chin. It's been a year since the pandemic has started, we should be used to wearing them by now. After confrontation the girl was using some expletives about me, and I got a vague promise of a refund after the "manager calls his boss". Time will tell if I ever get my 23$ back, but forewarning if you don't want potential COVID as a pizza topping, then go somewhere else for a probably less expensive and less risky pie. read more

The workers there are extremely kind and attentive to all their customers walking in. They understand time is valuable and do their best to get you your order in a timely manner and with a smile on their faces. The food is really good too and I especially liked their pepperoni pizza they have hot and ready all day no matter when I come in. Highly recommend stopping by and giving it a try. It's good pizza, lots of choices for toppings and close to my work. I consider it expensive for fast food - but the quality and service are there. I would prefer more topping to be added if I pay $2.25 per though. I don't go often enough that it would really matter. The best part of it is you can order online, pay and just run in and out to get your food. read more

I had been to the old location a few times. It was small town sub shoppy if that makes sense, but the food was amazing (due to their connections to the now defunct Za Za on Rt 1) with unexpected surprises like custom made arancini. I haven't seen these hand made to order this side of the North End...and better than Grandma used to make. The old location was demolished and an AL Prime gas station/convenience store installed in it's place and the old Slice was built into the new c-store. Not that the other location was anything to brag about, but I have a hang up about convenience stores and quality food being mutually exclusive. If there are exceptions to every rule, Slice is just that. I was happy to find that the new place is everything the old place was as far as the overall quality and variety of food goes, but trapped in a cold and impersonal setting. Something was certainly lost with the move into the gas station, but the last place was mostly a take-out joint and if that's what you're doing it's not going to impact you at all. The pizza is flavorful and crisp and the meatballs taste home made. I love the Slice Salad and also the chicken/broccoli rabe sub. I haven't had anything I can find room to complain about here. Limited seating and the idea that I'm eating good food in a gas station convenience store takes a star. read more

Very good slices, but for my tastes I would have liked those large slices more if they were cut into two, although since everyone working there was friendly and courteous I probably could've asked for that, so I am going to give that 4th star. I am a very picky guy when it comes to give ratings on Pizza. There were areas of this huge slice that I got that were perfectly thin and crispy, with a great semi-sweat sauce. I totally get why rating is high at this place, we had a couple of hot sandwiches here they both where delicious. Prices are great, not going to kill the budget. Place is inside a Prime gas station, not to take away from the good food at great prices.. also prices at the gas stations are pretty good, fill the tank while you grab a pizza slice or sandwich. The crust is soft and crispy. The sauce is bland and flavorless, but the quality of the cheese and toppings are good. Overall it's an ok suburban pizza joint. I think their pizza is better than most of the places in their area. I also think they need to work on their customer service. I'm not sure if it was just me or not, but the guy taking my order seemed to have a bit of an attitude or arrogance problem. I was only ordering one pizza, but you would think I was irritating him just by making him answer the phone. The conversation felt like "We're Slice pizza, we don't need your business. Now hurry up and order." Well Slice, while you were away on the longest construction project ever, a newcomer has moved into town and won the taste buds of many of your customers, including myself. Absolutely the best thin crust pizza around. Just go for the slice (pepperoni if you want the extra spice) and eat it there, fresh n hot. Splurge and get one of each... and get a free drink! Need more? Try the Tomato Mozzarella Sandwich and add the prosciutto. I like mine toasted too. It's perfect and comes with oil and a little salt n pepper. More? Get the Buffalo wings/tenders... they are spicy and come with good chunky blue cheese.
