I called Nick earlier today & asked how much he charges for an alignment. He asked the make & model of my vehicle & whether I needed front-end or four-wheel alignment. I told him four-wheel, he asked what time I could arrive & I said within the next 30 minutes. Nick said OK as he'd be finished with the car he was working on. I arrived within 20 minutes & decided to park on a residential street behind the main road, which was extremely busy. The shop is located within a cluster of other auto shops, so the driveway was a bit crowded & I felt more comfortable walking over first to get a better look. I spoke to Nick & then brought my vehicle around. Within minutes, Nick informed me that only my front wheels needed alignment, which would lower the price. And within 10 minutes or so, he was done! I almost couldn't believe how fast he completed the job, to which he replied "When you've been doing this for as long as I have, you know what you're doing. It doesn't take long." After getting a tire replaced, I discovered that my car's alignment was absolutely horrible (no wonder it was eating tires like it's at an all-you-can-eat buffet) so I needed to find an alignment shop ASAP, especially since I had planned to leave for an out of state road trip in a few days. Nick's was just down the street from the tire shop so I figured I would swing by - he able to get my alignment done fast and, while doing so, he noted that my brakes were due to be replaced so I decided to have that done as well. He also noticed the annoying 'clunk' sound that had plagued my front end since I got the car back from having warranty work done by Carmax before the pandemic - and fixed it in just a few minutes (Carmax wanted to charge me hefty diagnostic fees and gave me the runaround for what ended up being a single bolt that they failed to tighten fully) As a woman, it's hard to find an honest shop where the work is top notch (although, as a woman who works on her classic car as a hobby, I'm able to spot the BS when someone is dishonest) - Nick's is definitely one of those rare gems in the auto mechanic world! Nick (Nerces) is a reliable and honest mechanic. I have trouble trusting anyone nowadays, but I know Nick is the kind of man who is humble and a master in his trade. Needed a tire alignment and was referred to him. I called and made an appointment to take my car in. He was quick - waited about 20 minutes for my Toyota (usually can take up to an hour). He is located in between other shops. When pulling in, he is the one on the far left. It is a busy street, so give yourself ample time in regards to traffic. It's hard to know who to trust nowadays, but my intuition has never failed me. I'm glad I was referred to him. Nick pulled my car in in reverse to make it easier for me to pull out of the driveway. He also took his time to educate me on how my tires have been burning and what to look out for. I just called this place and got an estimate to change my springs on my 96 Mustang GT. The guy who I spoke with asked me if I had gotten other estimates, I told him I did between 200-400, he told me that 400 was a good price because it takes 4 hours labor. After laughing and thanking him for his time, he called me an asshole and hung up on me. This is a perfect example of a business trying to rip people off and then getting an attitude for not going for it. Stay away from these thieves. read more

On Saturday, July 6, 2013, my car was serviced for an alignment at Nick's Alignment. I was referred to him by a local tire supplier. Prior to visiting, I called to see what time would be the best time to come in. Nick patiently informed me that he was working on two other vehicles and suggested that I come in about twenty minutes. Due to other obligations, I couldn't make it there within that time frame. Surprisingly, he called to check to see if I was still going to make it and he waited for me after business hours! Once I arrived, he immediately began working on it and explained in detail what needed to be fixed. After the job was completed, he confirmed the three calculated measurements and the corrected adjustments. I tried to tip him for the great service (from start to finish), however he strongly but kindly refused and said, 'It is my job." That alone portrays how dedicated and passionate he is about his work. I agree, Nick IS honest, professional and has excellent customer service. Nick is an honest man and a great mechanic with good prices. I needed an alignment on my 2007 Nissan Versa and Nick corrected the misalignment and explained everything to me. He even let me know the condition of my tires & brakes and rotated my tires free of charge. Best $60 I've ever spent on an alignment! I know a lot about cars but I do not have an alignment machine ;) So I knew Nick was telling me the truth on everything. To the guy who left a 1 star comment. Your friend who got into your head also forgot to tell you that nearly all mechanics are bolt/off and on mechanics and not machine shop specialists... It takes special machines to remove pistons from calipers and i don't know anyone who just didn't replace the whole caliper just to be completely safe. Nearly every brake shop you would have went to would just have replaced the caliper. Plus, bigger car parts like that incur a "core charge", like when you buy a new car battery. If you ever want to keep your old stuff, you'll have to pay the mechanic for it because then they are stuck with the core charge from the new part supplier. I had my 2009 Ford Focus SEL's brakes checked because of the vibration I feel when driving. It turned out that the brake pads were worn out already and the rotors needs rephasing and there was a problem with the caliper. Nick replaced the brake pads and the entire caliper because of a 'leak' on the caliper. Nick said that the calipers need replacement for both front wheels (Left and Right) for $80.00 each (160 total). Being a non car guy, I obliged just to have the car repaired. Had an oil change also just to be on the safe side and time convenience. Told my car guy friend about the procedure made on my car the next day. To my surprise, the one Nick said that was 'leaking' and busted is a caliper piston that can be replaced for 16.99 per set (2pcs). I felt cheated for revenue! Nick did not even gave back my old caliper (2sets)! My friend told me that Nick just got himself a 2 caliper sets that can be repaired easily for less than 50 bucks. The service he did in terms of change oil and rotor rephasing (machine shop) is good. The whole brake pads and caliper replacement is unfair/dishonest. read more

I recently hit a curb with my right rear wheel and I immediately knew something was seriously wrong with my car. I pulled over and saw the damage and also immediately felt the car pulling to one side. The damage was so severe that I thought I actually bent the suspension which would have cost thousands of dollars to repair. Nick installed two front quick-strut assemblies on my car and performed an alignment. The alignment was off after installation and could have been fixed with a camber adjusting bolt which I would have happily paid an extra $15 for at the time. So now my camber is out of spec. Also the lugnuts were overtightened which resulted in three of the lugnut studs breaking. I'm sure this was an honest mistake with the wrong setting on the impact wrench, but I was charged another $60 labor to replace the studs. read more
