DELLLISHHHH!!! Our awesome friends brought us here tonight. We're about a 20 min drive away, place was so busy when we pulled up! They had several families waiting outside.. I'll admit I'm surprised how quickly they had people in and out, though. Wait wasn't more than 5 mins. I went to Nicks today for lunch before I had to be at work. I ordered the Stromboli and my friend ordered lasagna. Both were on the lunch menu. They came with a salad and drink. The food was delicious. Our salads were big and fresh. Our meals also came with fresh homemade rolls that were soft and warm. The garlic butter melted on them. It was so delicious. The service was great. We only had approximately an hour before we had to be at work. We were able to get our food visit while we ate and were able to get to work early. We went to Nick's for dinner one night and were not disappointed! We left full as a tick. All of the food was filled with flavor. Everything that we ordered cake out correctly and quickly. The service staff worked quickly to take our orders , drinks, and refreshed everything in a timely manner. The serving staff explained the menu items to us and made suggestions based on us explaining things that we usually eat. I had the Chicken Florentine which was so filling that I couldn't eat it all in one sitting. The chicken was tender and the cream made the dish POP! I literally could've just eaten the cream alone as it was indeed the Bomb! My husband and daughter had the shrimp scampi. The shrimp were a good size. The buttery sauce had a zest to it that went perfect with the shrimp. The portion size was large. Both of them had to take theirs home too. Now..the leftovers is a completely different story! So this little diddy located up North in Pilot Point is worth 1,000 Dominos and Pizza Hut's. Seriously. So they have a lunch special which is pretty expansive, and very reasonable. I'd say cheap, but I don't want to imply they skimp. They don't. The dinner rolls are homemade and to die for. Like seriously. I want them served at my funeral. With extra garlic butter. Went to Nick's under the pretense of supporting local businesses during the pandemic. Unfortunately, the safety measures and guidelines our experts and government have in place were not being followed. For those concerned about such things, Leo's (Pilot Point) and Luigi's (Aubrey) in the area serve great food, follow state mandates and wear both masks and gloves. It's very important to support local businesses during this time of uncertainty and crisis, but it's also good to know when those businesses equally support the health and safety of their customers. read more

Food is ok for Pilot Point I guess, but the owner is beyond disgusting. How do I know you ask? Well, I posted a one star review on another platform because when I went in to pick up my to go order not a single person in the kitchen or helping at the counter was wearing a mask. The review I posted was responded to by the owner himself in which he called me a "Karen" and admonished me for patronizing his restaurant. We actually went out of our way to patronize this place because local restaurants in particular are struggling and we were trying to show support. Little out of the way street taco places are a natural. You go in because you will usually get some pretty good food. As for out of the way Italian? Well, this is actually better than most. Nick's used to be a place called Da Federico's, but for some reason they changed their name, but the menu seems to have remained the same. I have only been here a few times, but what I have had has been pretty decent. The pizza could use some work, but the chicken parm and the chicken marsala were both pretty good. The tomato sauce is nice and tomatoey and has a good flavor to it. As for the marsala, they use a piece of grilled chicken which is different for a marsala, but it works really well. I'm not saying you need to go two hours just to come here like you would do some of the finer Italian places here in the DFW area, but if you happen to be in the Pilot Point area and you want some decent Italian, this is a good spot.
