The doe was the only forgiving item with the pizzas we purchased, this time that flavor was missing too. So picture if you will a medium pizza 9-10' with a thin layer of sauce then light covering of cheese, (and this is what gets me) and the least amount of granulated meat powderish substance. It was blah and we got a deluxe toppings. The sauce didn't have any spices to it. The toppings were sparse! For a deluxe topping pizza there were so few toppings. Palio pizza is an amazing place. They have variety of dishes that comes with side of salad and cheesy bread. They have combo/lunch specials. It can be overwhelming if you don't know what you want but everything is fresh and delicious there. I have tried pasta arrabiata which for some might be spicy but I love spicy food. Tip number one, call in your order. I ordered through Yelp but apparently that was really DoorDash. In addition to the delivery fee, for each item, you secretly pay a few dollars more that they don't disclose versus if you order directly from the restaurant. DoorDash is highway robbery! Sad! For that matter, I don't like that Yelp is part of that. Now, if you go to the company's website, the employee of the restaurant told me that I could order there. False, it just takes you to a PDF of their menu. Just look it up online and call it in. You'll save yourself a big hassle. Now, regarding the food. We ordered two pasta dishes. If you look at the menu, you'll note that the restaurant has a very wide selection of options for your pasta. It's pretty clear that's because they basically have everything prepped and then they throw it together. When we got our dinners home, we found that each really had not been cooked with all the ingredients together to meld and bring the flavors out. It was not until the next day, when we cooked the second half of each (noting the portion sizes were good) that the meals really came together, particularly my pasta Arrabiata. Maybe that is a function of getting takeout versus eating in, but it wasn't very busy at all when we got our food, so they certainly had time to cook it properly. As for the drinks, at least at this location, it is BYOB, which to me is, BOY, OK! In summary, I'd like to go back and try eating in (we are new to the area) to see how it is prepared on site. The Pizza was ok. The Covid-19 precautions were non-existent. Masks were not over nose while taking a customer order. Restaurant at 30% capacity (I know it's 75%) but those people are permitted to sit right next to other tables. The biggest problem is that condiments are left at the table and silverware comes from a communal bucket. Coronavirus carrier touches his mouth while eating pizza, then touches the parmesan cheese, then a healthy person touches the parmesan cheese then their hand touches pizza that goes into mouth. I am all for keeping the economy open, but going to this restaurant is taking your life in your hands. How can YOU the customer be sure that SOMEONE ELSE isn't being dumb and gets infected and then comes to eat pizza and touches your parmesan cheese before you do with their hands that wiped their Covid-19 mouth. We ordered The King, a Meat and Cheese specialty, and a plain cheese. My wife called it in over the phone and the young lady was very friendly and repeated everything. So we drive up there and two police cruisers are parked there. Trust me, if the police are eating there it's good to go. I went in to pick it up and it wasn't very busy. Plenty of staff up front to help me and they were very polite and friendly. The inside is spacious and very clean and a rustic look. I really liked the decor a lot. So I pick up the pizza and we head home. I wish I had taken pictures of the pizza. It smelled great too. Ok the crust they use isn't thin but it not thick as I. It's not that doughy kind. It's a "light" pizza. They also do not pour sauce all over it. I don't like a lot of sauce. This was perfect. It allowed the topping to really be front and center. Everything was fresh and just delicious. This is seriously the best pizza I have had. It is outstanding. They also have a manager special where you buy one pizza and get one of equal or lesser value cheaper. Also they have pastas and salads which if it's anything like the pizza I would hope it's just as good. This isn't Domino's, Papa Johns, or Little Caesars. This is fresh, delicious, and quality pizza that is not ridiculously priced. It's absolutely worth it and I totally recommend this place. 6 out 5 stars. read more

I am a sucker for The Classic "gourmet pizza" which includes roasted chicken, fresh tomatoes, fresh basil, fresh garlic, EVOO, and mozzarella! It tastes amazing hot but it's also delicious cold if you save any for leftovers. The crust is not super thin nor is it traditionally thick/chewy. Been here more than a few times. Like their portions, price, flavor, and quality. We usually take advantage of their pizza/calzone special, but have enjoyed a few pasta dishes as well. Wish the red sauce they serve on side with calzone was offered hot instead of chilled, but the garlic butter sauce is also tasty.
