He was very easy to talk to and professional. In addition, I appreciated that he gave me real advice and ideas, not ones that would benefit his pockets but rather ones that aligned with my vision and my budget too. His crew came by about a week and a half later on a Tuesday afternoon, and by Friday evening they were finished (one day was too rainy for them to work). The outcome was better than I could've imagined it and I could really tell that Nelson and his team listened to what I wanted done. I wish I had a before picture so you could see the transformation. He came out, we talked, and I provided some sketches of what I was looking for. Jack came back with an estimate the next day and we agreed for him to start work in a couple of weeks. Due to the location of our property line and the small space he was working with, he and his crew had to wheelbarrow out all the dirt and bring in all the gravel. The trees they planted were not the right species and they were planted wrong according to one of their crew members - the owner of company was going to charge me to re-do the work and at full price! The wife/owner was nice enough to take out the trees which were DEAD by July and the husband/owner never contacted me again. I treat my contractors very well and I was insulted after $ tips, great referrals, and great reviews that I made sure I provided, Frider (company owner) didn't come through for me. You knew we wanted evergreens and your only knowledgeable crew member who's worked in plant husbandry told your wife and me that the planting was not done right. You didn't manage this business relationship well.
