Went for dinner two nights ago. Three of us chicken Parm, Chicken Alfredo and shrimp Fra Diablo. Service was good and friendly. We were the only ones there so that helps. Fra Diablo was damn HOT but I ate about half. Shrimp were very large at least three good bites each. Only complaint was the pasta could have need drained a little more. Left a waters puddle on the bottom of the plate. Three of us with non alcoholic beverages around $50.00. Will return. read more

Food was pretty good but the service was inconsistent and they gave us a cup that had a stain on it. And they gave us complementary garlic knots that were cold. I don't recommend this place if you want an excellent meal. read more

We Love Eating at Nick's - Really well made Italian Dinners. My favorite is the Chicken Fantasy, with sun dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts in a pink wine sauce. My husband loves there Fresh Veal Parm. The salads are fresh and more than just lettuce and onions, the bread with dipping oil is hot right out of the oven. He has both a large selection of cold beers and a large wine list. Of all the times we've eaten there we only got pizza once and we liked it, but the real attraction is the great Italian dinners. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and I admit frequently very crowded, but people wouldn't stand in line to get in the door if the food wasn't so good. read more

A solid pizza joint in Bethlehem. Staff is friendly, and service is quick when they're not mobbed with orders. Beer available in the fridge, moderate price range. The Buffalo Chicken Pizza is amazing, nothing else quite like it. The pizza here has a hearty crust, firm and crunchy, but not overwhelming; similar texture to many others in the area. I once stopped in to this establishment to meet my wife for lunch and was instantly greeted by dirty, suspicious looks by the owner. I was immediately made to feel uncomfortable and unwanted in his shop. After ordering a slice of pizza (average at best) and a cola every customer had to sit and feel the uncomfortableness as said owner loudly berated one of his employees. I understand in business these types of things will happen but I feel that it would have been more professional (and less embarrassing) to do this in private and not in plain view of customers. Even though my home is only a few blocks away I will travel out of my way to avoid this establishment. read more

Last night I had the best dinner that I have had in a long time. Nick's linguine alfredo with shrimp was the best I have had since Louie Johns cooked me some. Ate outside (weather was gorgeous) with my husband and sister and her husband. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. The waitress was very attentive and pleasant. The prices were about the same as other similar restaurants (about 15.00 per person) for the same items...but the food has the freshness and flavor of higher priced places. The only downside to our experience there was my husband making fun of me raving about the food. lol read more

Giving this restaurant 1 star because the service was horrible and there were five of us eating and the waiter charged gratuity. Gratuity is charged for a party of around 8 or more so we were definitely over charged. We split the check and my one friend paid $23 for wings even though the wings only costed $8.50! Our waiter was not attentive at all and she had the worst attitude. It's the lady with the star tattoos behind her ear. If you get her, please do not get served by her because she will over charge you and automatically add a tip to your bill. She doubled the tip for all of us and ended up taking $20 tip. Considering the rundown exterior, outdated decor, lack of patrons, and obvious violations of health standards, my expectations for Nick's were astonishingly low. And they did not disappoint. After entering Nick's I didn't need any foresight to realize food poising was in my immediate future. I ordered the cheese pizza, better known as the cardboard with sauce and a side order of hair. On a scale of inedible to bland it was a 4. With that being said, the house crushed red pepper is a game changer. Nick's truly is the epitome of mediocrity, they know who they are, a low-quality pizzeria, and they don't shy away from it. All else equal I cannot find it in my heart to give them anything less than a 5 out of 5. If you're in Bethlehem and in the mood for a low quality product that will leave an insufferably disgusting taste on the top of your palate than Nick's is the place for you. I have been here many times for lunch and dinner with family. The food is great. The garlic knots you get while waiting for your meal are awesome!!!! (I have had some not so fresh ones which is one of my only two complaints about the place but even those are still good and they are free so I can't complain too much) the baked ziti is excellent and a good portion for the price. My favorite is the meatballs, I have tried a lot of meatballs from various places but I love Nick's meatballs the best. The only other complaint is the service. Depending on the waitress it can be slow but most of them are great. read more

Ordered for carry-out: Margherita Pizza - Plum Tomatoes, Garlic, Basil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil & Fresh Mozzarella. There were big hunks of tomato & 1/4" think slices of garlic & it was obviously thrown together hastily. The crust was very good. Overall, it was gross, but it could have been a great pie had they had the time to prepare it properly. The people were nice & friendly there though it was extremely busy (around 6:00 p.m.). Seems to me the place is too small to offer such a large menu - might be more successful to offer less & do it better. read more

nick's - not my favorite slice in town. however, i absolutely L.O.V.E. their cheese steak with sauce. imo, the best in the lv. service is hit or miss (they get easily overwhelmed) and if you eat in house, you typically get to wittness some sort employee drama (no wonder, when there are five people working in a 8 foot square kitchen). also, thumbs up for the italian dinners. my personal preference is the taste of italy (of whatever moinker) - basically lasagna, chx parm, and fetticini easily enough for two along with the salad and bread. go there for take out (but don't go too far out, as you'll get all soggy). read more

Their pizza is pretty good. Great sauce and lots of cheese. Don't expect a NY style pizza from them but good nonetheless! Their other menu items are good as well and come in big portions. My only complaint, and as another reviewer mentioned, is the drama that occurs between Nick and his waitstaff. Very unprofessional and a real turn off. Nick can also be a little rude to his customers (especially with call in orders). Despite the drama, Nick's food is good and their prices are very reasonable. read more

Of all the local restaurants we just keep coming back here- friendly staff and great food and it's always hot- even the bread is hot. My husband loves the veal parm and I love the seafood meatballs and calamari salad. Everything always delicious - sauce is great. Can always accommodate a large party. Never have to wait for a table but they're always busy - can always find a parking spot too. read more

Nick does not value customer relations! For some years my wife and I have stopped by Nick's for large cheese steaks with onions, peppers and extra sauce when we were in Bethlehem. Sometimes crowded and slow but the food was good. Yesterday afternoon we were out shopping and stopped at Nick's for an early dinner. My wife ordered her usual cheese steak but I noticed a 12" pizza special ($9.95) ad on the table listing a "meat lovers with bacon" which I ordered as "a 12" meat lover's pizza please". When the order came about 15 minutes later, it was a 14" pizza which I told the waitress was not what I ordered. She said they made a mistake and went ahead and served the pizza, I ate about half and she brought a box to take the remainder home. The bill came and included a medium 14" pizza for $14.95. I took the bill to the cashier and explained the problem, she spoke with the waitress who said she was told there was no 12" small meat lovers pizzas. Nick chimed in from the kitchen that there were always 3 sizes - small, medium, large. The cashier said the waitress was new and did not know better. Then Nick said the 12" were only on the lunch menu. I picked up the menu stand off a nearby table and pointed out it said nothing about LUNCH and that the menus were present on all the tables in the restaurant. When I said I should not have been charged for the larger size Nick asked "did you get a 14" pizza?" When I said yes, he said "then you owe for a 14" pizza." I paid the full bill and add a tip, after all the waitress was not the one ripping me off. With Nick's lack of concern for customers, I will not be going back to Nick's. In reading the other reviews, maybe you should try some other restaurant as well. read more

I love Nick's. The waitresses are very friendly. You can see the food being made. I have never had a bad meal here. It can get crowded, and the only bad thing I have to say about it, is that there is no waiting room, and if you sit near the door in winter, you get blasted with cold air every time it opens. It opens alot, because alot of people come in for take-out. I do not care so much for the pizza here, but the dinners are awesome. I immediately cut my plate in half (or thirds) and plan to take some home for another meal. The garlic knots are excellent! The Italian dinners are great, and the prices reasonable. The Deluxe Chicken Cheesesteaks are another favorite, and are delicious and big. I love keeping these small family-owned places in business. The food is made fresh and takes great, and they care about your satisfaction. read more

A group of 10 of us were there tonight, awesome time, great food, wonderful waitress.

I was in this part of town again and had about 15 minutes to spare. So I decided to grab an Italian hoagie since I've written off the pizza permanently. I had ordered this to go. The good news is the order came right up. The bad news was I still had a few minutes to spare. So I grabbed a seat, figured I'd eat half the sandwich then go to my meeting. Well by the time I took 1 bite, there was Nick who coldly and bitterly told me "If it's to go, you have to go." I returned a disbelieving stare and asked "huh?" to which he repeated himself in a more stern tone. Again, this was in front of all his staff and a few tables of patrons. I am not one to start trouble so I just closed my box and stood up. A few of the other patrons gave me a comforting look as I walked out, knowing I would never go back there again and that unfortunately, due to one person's intolerable attitude, that none of my network wold either. read more
