So we had some desert before we had our meal, first we ordered the domino cake, it was odd... the taste was off sorta a wheat flavor! No very pleasing! Next! Don't even bother questioning if this place is worth eating at...it's not. I ordered a gyro plate with fries, took a bite & was immediately greeted with a new experience of tasting 3D printed meat textures. Wait staff was super rude & didn't refill my water at all. I asked for a refund after only eating my fries and a couple bites of the virtual sandwich, but was declined after I was told that I ate more than 50% of the meal...sorry i enjoyed the IRL fries more than that sorry excuse for a gyro simulator read more

My onion rings were gross & change the damn rancid oil!!! Everything was garbage, cutting corners & raising prices isn't how you do it, The waitress was the only good thing it had going for it, super nice but super nice doesn't help my upset stomach from ur garbage food! The waiters and the whole staff are incredibly rude. They're advertised as being 24hrs but they close from 5am to 6am. They don't even get there on time at 6am and will make you wait for more than 45 mins to get a table. They treat their customers terribly overall and their prices are increasing when the food isn't even worth that much. Oh, and on top of everything, they're astonishingly racist. read more

I want to give it four stars, but that might just be because I enjoy the place and feel nostalgic about it. Our service today was average. It was my first time eating their Reuben sandwich, and I really thought it was very good. But I don't like sauerkraut, so I got the sandwich without it. Also, the restaurant has no changing table for babies so I had to change my baby in the booth. Which is an inconvenience at most. I decided to go with three stars, because I figured that's what anyone who doesn't feel nostalgic about the restaurant would probably give it. read more

This is the worst restaurant I've ever been to. We were quietly sitting at our table as we ordered our food and they told us that we were not allowed to be there even though all the other tables were full. The person at the front door (Edgar) was so extremely rude to us and called the cops on us for ordering food. I am serious when I post this. So I will never return to this restaurant. After being seated they forced us to take our food to go and I have never experienced this in my life. They didn't even give us the opportunity to sign our bills and tip before we were kicked out (I feel bad for the waitress because she was not involved and I would have tipped her if I was given the chance). I am so disappointed by the quality of the employees of this restaurant and I strongly recommend that no one ever goes here. read more

This place exceeded all my expectations. We came in because we knew they were open late, and a lot of stuff in this neighborhood shuts down early. It was quick, comforting, and delicious-- everything you would want in a Greek diner. I had the tuna melt, with fries and a cup of cream of broccoli soup. The soup came with the meal, and I wasn't expecting to really like it-- but it was clearly made in house, and it was rich, flavorful, and delicious. It was served with a delightful selection of crackers. I love a good tuna melt, and this was my idea-- the tuna salad was fresh with just a little mayo and crunchy celery. The bread was good and toasty with cheese on both sides. One thing-- their bread is a little lack luster (definitely not from a great bakery or anything) but everything else was good enough to make up for it. The fries were perfect and plentiful. My wife had breakfast-- a Greek skillet with toast. Again, the bread was not amazing, but the skillet was yummy, with a sprinkling of feta cheese, crispy potatoes, and well cooked veggies. The prices were reasonable, and the waitstaff were friendly and quick with the refills. We will for sure be back! read more

Nick's Patio accomplishes everything it sets out to do. It is a classic breakfast joint as well as a 2 am spot for late-night cravings. The skillets are a hearty option that will fill up the most ravenous customer. The pancakes/French Toast/waffles are fairly standard and will satisfy most cravings. Service may be slow during peak hours but prices are fair and bakery items are a secret gem. Would recommend to college students and patrons with reasonable standards looking to be satisfied. read more

It pains me, to give Nick's less than a 5-star review. As a patron of the restaurant for 14 years, I can attest to the excellent customer service, and food quality the staff provides, on-site... Unfortunately, recent carry-out orders have been extremely disappointing. Food has been cold, or sloppily put together, meat has been overcooked to the point of being burnt, and toppings have been imbalanced (ex. tons of onions, and little sauce), or missing. I understand that the pandemic has hit restaurants hard. I hope they will fix these glitches, soon. read more

It's a good, old-fashioned Greek diner. I came for the first time, craving a familiar tuna melt and chocolate shake. They delivered. Just like the Greek diner back home. Service was very friendly and prompt. I only wish French fries didn't cost extra. read more

I love the crumb crusted chicken and the egg, ham and cheese croissant! It's sooo big and full, you have to cut it up and use a fork to eat it and I always have at least half to take home for another meal. But my favorite thing is the chocolate fudge cake! I'm dying for some now! It's the best around. Always good service too read more

I understand businesses are hurting due to covid but the prices are crazy high. The cheapest breakfast is nearly 12 dollars now. A side of bacon nearly 5 bucks. I use to like this place. Wifey and I have been Eating here since Nick actually Owned it 35 years ago. My big bugaboo, a surley, passive aggressive, waitress. Wifey ordered her Fav. Open Face Turkey Sammich. She Loves it, LOVES IT! I order the Greek Chicken, with the Greek potatoe Numy! Now, havent been their In a year or so due to the shoddy, unkempt appearance. Ceiling tiles were stained. Bowed Outa wack. Food splatter on the Walls of the booths, stained nasty ass carpet. We decided to Give them time off. Should have Stayed away. They did paint the Nasty tiles, walls were...cleaner? Carpet. Same. So the service, when I ordered my Greek Chicken the waitress Quickly informed me it was a 25 Min. Wait for the Greek Chick. Never taken that long before. So I asked why the long wait? "Well its a special meal" I have Been ordering the same F'n meal from this place for 35 years And never had a 25 min. Wait. I was devestated...we were in a huge hurry and 25 min. Wasnt Gonna cut it. Well...I guess ill have the stupid Open Faced crap. Waitress was a little indignant, she seemed offended That i "settled" for an OFTS. I explained to here the menu Had a note that the fried chicken Had a 25 min. Wait. So why isnt that also attatched to the Greek Chick.? No answer, just a "im so irritated by this DA" look on her face. So, 2 OFTS, not a complicate order. Meanwhile, The manager was re-filling our drinks and brining our soup. Miss waitress is nowhere to be found. As we sit there waiting We are watching her serve tables that came in after us. After 20 min. I asked what the Hold up was? She went to the Kitchen, looked around, food Wasnt their. The manager(bless her) got involved and low and behold! She never turned our ticket in.....great. The Manager Came to our table and promise Our food ASAP! 30 Minutes to get our food that came out within 8 min. This was indicative Of a larger issue, a painfully unorganized waitress, a manager who let her run rough Shod over customers and ignore them, and not knowing your menu. As soon as we handed off our payment, we were immediately escorted out for sitting 5 people at a 4 person table - despite being sat there by literal wait staff. Staying up late to binge watch on Netflix? Nicks is open Woke up to early because the neighbors decide to drag their trash bin down the drive way at 5am before the truck comes? Nicks is open Wanna grab an early lunch cause your mother-in-law thinks lunch time comes at 10am? Nicks is open ......what? Is that just me? Well, you see my point. It's not just that they're open, the food is really good! My favorite is the chicken wrap! Fries are extra with the meals instead of chips but the meals come with the soup of the day... you don't care for soup?... give it a shot, I think you will be pleased. Yeah it's loud in there late at night but if you're out looking to go in and eat somewhere at 1am in a college town and expecting it to be quiet try you're kitchen. I do however, feel it's awful that Nicks has to ask for you to pre pay for your meal once you order because of people dinning and dashing. That's just pitiful . I think they literally took an unseasoned chicken breast, cooked some green pepper and onions and slapped it on a roll. My wife had the open face turkey sandwich. Similarly no flavor at all. Nick's Patio made living in South Bend bearable. Sure, it was annoying that Fox News was always blaring from the huge-screen TV in the front, but the nonsmoking section was nowhere near it. And sure, it was annoying knowing that a good percentage of your bill was probably being sent off to George W. Bush's reelection fund. But the place is open twenty-four hours, and the food, while not amazing, is pretty darn good. read more
