First and last time my family of 4 and I eat here... I honestly thought perhaps it was racism, but according to the other reviews, they just have terrible service here! We're new to the area and heard from another parent at my son's football practices that this place had some really good pizza ! We decided to give it a try and regretted it... the food alone was way to salty and oddly too chewy for my liking. However, that wasn't the worst of it all... walking in we were not greeted, staff that was standing by the entrance ignored us and walked away as soon as we walked in and after about 3 mins, we were acknowledged. It was mid week, there were two tables with two customers on each table and way more staff than customers. My husband and I are both friendly and polite ppl who always smile and show manners so again, this didn't even stand out to me just yet... UNTIL, after finally being seated, we waited at our table for our waitress for what felt like 10mins, ordered ONE pepperoni pizza and four drinks (still smiling and being polite) when a family of 10 walked in, were acknowledged and seated immediately, their drinks appetizers AND THREE SPECIALTY PIZZAS all made it to their table BEFORE our burnt pizza did. Our waitress was nice but it definitely seemed like the rest of the staff didn't want to acknowledge us until she got back from her break or something! This place gets 4 stars because of the delicious nicks sticks that were highly recommended by other locals but the pizza flavor was just not there in my opinion. I appreciate that the pizza was loaded and they definitely try to do something different with their crust here but it just wasn't for me (a bit TOO bread-y). I love Nicks pizza! Nick's has been my go to pizza place for years. You can always count on them to make the pizza right. Highly recommend the pepperoni and black olives and the Nicks sticks. They also have a really good salad bar with a decent amount of toppings to select from and they have home made ranch that's really good. It's not a fancy place inside but it's comfortable with plenty of seats, they even have a room for larger groups. Came here with a party of 10 to celebrate a birthday at noon. We had to wait for the whole party to be there before they sat us; which was an inconvenience, since we have that one friend who gets there late. The menu didn't give the lunch buffer price or what it includes, I had to ask. It's $14.95 for all you can eat salad and pizza (that they put out) and a drink. Salad bar was good and the pizza was on the thick side for my taste but otherwise pretty good. We were sat in the back where the longer tables are but were told we couldn't sit the whole party together because it would be a fire hazard. Placed our orders, lunch buffets all around. Our waitress Nancy brought us our drinks and utensils, then left us pretty much alone for the 2 hours we were there, despite it not being that busy. She didn't offer any refills, we had to find her and ask for them. She didn't take our used plates, we literally picked them up and took them to her. She didn't even ask if we wanted dessert, again, had to find her and ask. We ordered chocolate cake, tiramisu and cheesecake to sing happy birthday. She brought out the dessert with one spoon for each dessert, we had to ask for extra plates and utensils for us to share it. The dessert was delicious. Maybe the poor service was due to their policy of 18% gratuity for a party of 10 or larger, so she knew she would walk away with $30 either way? I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken as well as a medium pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, and jalapeño medium pizza. As you can see in the pictures, they were not shy on the toppings. My desire was for a thin crust that they do not carry, but this was delicious. I will surely be back. The staff is very rude and not attentive. The pricing is insane for what you get. A better quality pizza you might as well save your money and enjoy more by going to Pizza factory. The pizza was pretty good. On a scale from 1-10 I would rate the pizza an 8. However, the service would n the other hand needs work. The order for drinks and then food took way too long. I could understand this problem if they were busy, but they weren't, and it appears they had plenty of staff to take orders. For the service I'd rate this a 2 maybe 3 at best. I grabbed a menu from the desk and sat down in front of her. She tuned around and started folding pizza boxes. I watched her for about 10 mins. Nothing! We ordered pizza online for pick up and it gave us a 30 minute pick up time. Absolutely no problem at all, it's Saturday and completely normal and understandable. We get there and my boyfriend goes in and ends up waiting another half hour because they burned one of our items. It would have been fine had the lady at the counter not had the biggest attitude. We got a refund and left without the food because our pizza would have been cold since it was sitting for a half hour. It probably wouldn't have turned into such a big deal if the service was better.
