This was probably the worst pizza I could have ever had !! We had a pizza party with family and friends.. we ordered 3 pizza's .. Was so excited because this place came so recommended but I must say I was so disappointed. My son picked up the pizzas and they told him 25 more minutes from the time the had originally told me .. Ok I get it , they're busy .. But when he came home with the pizza I opened them up to find that they were burnt and not what I had ordered. I was so embarrassed to serve them. But I had no choice .. Been coming to this pizza place for a few years now, pizza is good, Texas fries are great.. but today the girl in the front had a really poor attitude . I call at 150 pizza was suppose to be ready at 230 the latest. Got there at 235- they said a few minutes. 15 mins later still waiting. The girl in the front no care in the world . Pizza was finally ready, but they forgot to give my order to the kitchen for my fries. Had to wait an additional 10 mins for fries after waiting already for my pizza longer than usual. This is best described as a working class bar. No imports except Blue moon. Plenty of cheap domestic beer. They have specials Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. Monday half price pizza is amazing and the pizza is great for the price, be warned cash only in special days. It has a nice tabled seating area for families. Unfortunately... beyond their pizza the food can be hit or miss. I've had their meatballs that the 2 in one sandwich have been both perfect and cold in the center. A lot of it is almost certainly frozen before hand and then quickly prepared as soon as ordered. If you want quick cheap beer and bar food this is absolutely the best place to go. Very INCONSISTENT. I ordered the SAME pizza on FOUR SEPARATE occasions and the product was different everytime. My first visit was AMAZING but each visit after was disappointing. I asked for the order to be repeated back to me for correctness (and it was) I checked the receipt (again correct) so my ONLY conclusion is to think the employees making the pizza are either NOT reading the ticket correctly (where then the call taker should EMPHASIZE extra ingredients VERBALLY) or maybe the tickets should be written in Spanish. You only get one chance to make a first impression!!!! We came to Nick's Pizza and wanted something fast not pizza. We ordered a breaded steak sandwich and a barbecue beef sandwich both with fries. After 40 mins. of watching the waitresses talk as they folded napkins finally she came by with napkins and ketchup. We asked why it was taking so long for sandwiches and she said "I don't know" I said "We only ordered sandwiches and for that length of time we could have ordered pizza" and her response was " I'm just the messenger". What upset me most is after I said "This is the customer service you get." She then made it sound like this was OUR fault. My fiancée got so upset that she walked out the door. I have ordered from here a few times. Every time I got really greasy and bland pizza. I never dined in but going here was not very inviting. The inside didn't look clean and did not reassure me at all. I had a bunch of coupons for a free pizza and I tossed them out just because it didn't seem worth while. Nick's is amazing, it is a hidden gem out here as far as pizza goes, and i eat alot of it. I believe its monday you can go there and get a large pizza and a pitcher of beer for $11. Two weeks running now we've been supplied a time to pick up our pizza, we get there and wait in excess of 30 minutes. The staff are also rude, and act as thought you're putting them out when you ask if the order got lost? Sorry, but even at a busy time, a pizza should not take an hour and a half. Wow, could not believe the service I received tonight. I had a few good reviews of this place but what I experienced tonight will guarantee I will not go back to this place. Myself and my wife and two of our kids walked in this place around 6:10 pm and we kind of stood around a bit because we had been hoping that college football would be on and instead they had some cartoons on full blast . Thats ok if someone had requested it and there was a family there already with a couple of kids and we were wondering if they asked for the cartoons to be on. The waitress came up to us and asked with a bit of an attitude if we had a problem. I said no but unless this family had asked for cartoons could we put on the ND vs USC football game that me and the kids wanted to see. The waitress said I could ask them to change the channel, which kind of threw me for a loop because I thought I had just asked her to change the channel. Whatever, we ordered our food. 12 wings and a pizza. After a few minutes the waitress came down and told us that the game we wanted to watch didn't start until 7 pm. I said no, the game starts at 6:30. She said the TV was up to the bartender and she had no control over it. I walked into the bar to talk to the bartender but found no bartender there. In the meantime, I had said good things about the pizza in previous reviews but this one was bad and soggy crusted. Not a good pizza at all and the wings were worse. Suddenly, TV changes over to TBS Cubs game preview as I am following the 6:30 ND vs USC kickoff on my phone that I had told my waitress about. I got up once again and walked to the bar hoping to tell the bartender to change the channel but the bartender was obviously far too busy playing Bubble Witch or maybe Diamond dash on her phone to notice me. Maybe she was making FB friend requests I really couldn't tell you but I do know she wasn't watching who was standing at the bar. At this stage our pizza was eaten and I was still left with a beer or two in my pitcher and was hoping to see a little bit of the 7-7 ND vs USC tie game. I think my only hope was with our waitress but since dropping off our bill she was nowhere to be found either. In closing, I really want to apologize to the staff at Nick's Pizza. I know that despite being the only customer at the time I never should have gone to such extremes in asking if I could watch something on your TV. Also when you tell me the game doesn't start until 7 I need to just listen to you despite the fact that I knew the game started at 6:30. I will never ask for such extreme requests again. My sincerest apologies. I do hope the owner reads these reviews though because the people he is hiring is destroying this business. read more
