Hubby and I wanted sausage pizza for dinner, so we stopped in to give this establishment a try. The carryout space is small, but it has nice touches of Italian charm. The cashier was warm and welcoming, and the wait time was about 30 minutes. Their sausage is fresh and one of the best we've had. However, their sauce is a little too sweet for us. Our son loved and enjoyed every bite. If you enjoy a sweeter pizza sauce and fresh sausage, give this place a try. read more

Took my gf to try Grassano's since she's a north sider. Ordered for pick up and it was busy on Friday. About 30-40 mins for pizza but well worth it. Small pepperoni well done. Pickup window is separate from dining which is nice. Pizza was very good like usual. They would deliver to the ice rink I worked at back in the day and we would get the leftovers. Nice crispy graham cracker crust, cheesy, and a sweet sauce with every bite! Must stop whenever you're in the south side! read more

Waited 1hr 15 min to have only have our fries and wings delivered. Driver said it wasn't put in his bag and that someone will be bringing it. Called the restaurant to have the restaurant owners daughter offer the worst explanation and worst customer service. She said "oh honey, I can offer you a $5 dollar discount but not a free pizza! We have the pizza here but didn't know who's it was." We have been a LOYAL customer for just about 15 years & they just lost that! And this is how we received our order of fries, 1/3 of the bag only. read more

I've heard good things about Grassano's. Ordered 2 pizza panzerottis, 1 pepperoni and 1 pepperoni and sausage. Got home to discover my order was all wrong. I received 2 buffalo chicken ones instead. I called to ask for a refund and the first guy said he wasn't sure they could give us a refund back. He passed the phone over and I was offered credit. I let them know I would not be going back to try again as I had a simple order and wouldn't trust them with a larger or complicated order. I was given a refund back, but very disappointed to see my whole order wrong. read more

Ordered a jumbo mushroom and sausage. I was hoping it would be better than Phil's because of the price, but it wasn't. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't great. Phil's pizza at times has been off and it's 50/50 if you get a great pizza from Phil's, so I decided to give Grassano's a try. I was disappointed. read more

Tried Grassano's for the first time and was not disappointed. Pizza is really good but what's even more amazing are the prices. $15 for an extra large cheese is out of bounds. Almost half the price of other local places but the quality is still there as well. Highly recommend if your looking for great pizza without breaking the bank read more

Didn't wanna leave this comment here but they have no place to contact besides phone and I'm done waiting for a manager to call back. I think this place is a hit or miss. Today def a miss. The pizza was good but we got the Bosco sticks and my gf NEVER complains. She said they tasted like straight grease like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. Even looking at them they look burnt and the cheese is all dried out. Definitely won't be ordering these anymore. I guess I can just go to Phil's pizza down the road. Easier to get in touch with someone as well read more

I grew up around here and maybe I'm partial but it's for good reason, if I'm within 15 miles I will drive here to get a puff. Ok, so it's corny, but these guys are the puff daddy's, or panzerotti daddy's if you want to get technical. I've tried a lot of puffs and never had one even close to Grassano's. My go to is a sausage, onion, mushroom and light garlic puff. My wife will usually get pepperoni and if she wants to spice it up she'll get the pepperoni. My boys love the pizza and pizza bread. I've had probably 15 different types of puffs from here and literally never had a bad one. Couple times ago I had a beef and giardiniera puff, amazing. Honestly,I don't understand what people are ordering who give this place some of the lower reviews. My advice is come here for the puff and if it's not the best one you've ever had I want to know where you had a better one but in all seriousness, I'm sorry there's no better puff. read more

Just want to say that I've been going to this establishment for about 10+yrs. I was there when it offered dining. I'm still a customer, even if it's for take out. I'm a HUGE FAN, of your Sge/Panzaratti (xtra sauce). It never disappoints. I greatly encourage you go and try a Panzarrati (similar to a calzone), fyi. read more

I just picked up a to-go order and waited for over an hour (the receipt shows 5:48, and I got home at 7:05). When I asked about the wait time, the response was, "Just a few minutes." I live just a few blocks away, and the pizza was cold when I opened the box. Someone may suggest to microwave it, but it's not the same. The pizza shriveled up and the crust became soggy. I won't be returning. We have been customers since it was Tafdes. From now on, it's Phil's Pizza on Ridgeland in Oak Lawn for us! PLEASE, check your pizza. If you are local this is where you go for some good pizza at a reasonable price. I have been going here since I was a kid. There have been some changes due to inflation, but nothing too crazy. There pizza puffs are great. I like mine deep fried. We used to order their burger specials all the time. They no longer have a dine in area. It is carry out or delivery. This little gem on 87th Street! I love a "hole in the wall place" Somewhere the locals go. NOT a fast food or franchise chain. It's small, looks like a nothing place. Not fancy. Absolutely perfect! The moment you walk in, you smell the garlic, the sauces and the bread. It makes you smile. The wait staff were friendly and efficient. I ordered a meatball calzone. OMGOSH! It was huge! The size of a football! And delicious! Perfectly baked to a golden brown. The red sauce was so yummy! Lots of cheese, sauce consistency was spot on. And the meatballs were fantastic! The COVID-19 culinary tour continues. Fair warning, this isn't my first trip to Grassano's. Before we get into the food, this place actually shut down completely in order to keep customers and staff safe. It took a lot of guts to do that, especially when everyone else was expanding pick-up and delivery options. I'm not sure if or how they supported employees over that time. It would be interesting to hear. I'm glad they are back open. Ok, onto the food! This place is so inexpensive for the value. Sometimes my wife and I will order lunch & dinner from this place with one order and it will only be $50 with delivery. The marinated chicken sandwich is fantastic. Simple. We normally get a cup of their hot sauce on the side. The fries are always great. The pizza is good. The ingredients are always fresh and abundantly applied. Their sauce is tasty. My one grip with the pizza is the crust/dough. It is almost always soggy. Never crispy, even with the thin crust. Once you accept that is what you will get, you can enjoy the pizza. Only 1 place in the area has provided me a crisp crust and that is Sal's Pizza and authentic Mexican. So it may not be something people in this area really care about. Once again, you can't beat the price, have not had a bad meal, solid pizza with tons of toppings. Chicken sandwich, chicken sandwich, chicken sandwich. Nice amount of cheese, nice amount of sausage, for both, nice amount of sauce. Now the pizza was good,let me be clear, but on the box it says the 'best pizza in the world'. So my honest opinion is that is it better than all the other pizza places in the area (Domino's, Nonna's, etc)? YES...easily! Is Paisans better than Beggars Pizza? I say yes, my wife says no. Either way, we both agree that they have some good pizza! The garlic parmesan wings lived up to the hype. Crispy wings, nice amount of seasoning, not overpowering. As for the Southwestern egg rolls, this was the only thing I ordered where I was like 'meh'. The shell wasn't really crispy, I think it was a bit bland, and the sauce cup had opened up and spilled in its takeout box. Put it this way...Chili's Southwestern egg rolls are much better, by comparison, in terms of flavor. All in all, this was not a bad eating experience. The food was good all around, and for me, only the egg rolls could have been better. Also, the food was a little on the expensive side....so that is something to keep in mind also. If V&N's was located in my neighborhood, they'd would probably join my pizza rotation. I enjoyed their crispy crust, but didn't love their sauce. The sausage was good. The beef was good but the giardiniera was just okay. We also had the combo appetizer which was also pretty good. V&N's is a legendary Chicago pizza spot, so we had to check it out. While certainly good, it disappointed because it was not great.

I stopped ordering from them for a year because every time I would order from them, they would get my order wrong or they would not bring me my complete order. Yesterday, I ordered a 3 pizzas and two 2 L pops. They brought me everything but one of the 2 L pops. I called them and they said they would bring it back. Two hours latter I called again to find out where my coke was at, and they told me that it wasn't charged on my bill so they told me they were not going to bring it. The problem is that they didn't even call me back to let me know that it wasn't charged or that they were no going to bring it. It would have been nice to know instead of me waiting for 2 hours, and find out only until I decided to call. Their customer services is terrible. The lady on the phone was very rude. I will never order from them again. Please inform everyone you know not do business with them ever again. read more

Long time customer gone. Unwilling to accommodate a simple request. When business will lost customers and no one goes, then they will song the tune of 'why aren't patrons coming to the business', well bad customer service and yelling at a customer for simply asking a simple request, especially a long time customer who spends $80 a week at the business. Had their pizza for the first time last week and it was AMAZING! The crust is perfect, the sauce is the perfect amount of sweet and savory, and the toppings all seemed very fresh! This location is always busy but I think they have good control over it. They will let you know if there is a 2 hours before you place the order. Pizza always teaches our house super hot and ready to eat. My kids love their mini tacos as well. read more
