Great original stuffed pizza. Nice and dark inside with old school photos and a couple of quarter machines that take $1.00 to play the claw grab and get stickers. Do not be surprised if there is no waitress on duty all the time which is ok, they still allowed us to sit down and do a self serve when there was no waitress and yet still a couple of kind folks came out of the kitchen to check on us. Very kind staff that went out of their way and unknowingly helped a father show his daughter where he grew up going out to eat after bowling. When we lived in Illinois Nino's was our favorite pizza. We moved to North Carolina in 2019 and came back for a brief visit. My husband asked me where I wanted to go for Mother's Day dinner. I said Nino's. So I Googled it and saw they are still there. Hours 4-8. Cool! Headed out FROM INDIANA. NEARLY AN HOUR IN TRAFFIC. Sign inside saying they didn't have "a waitress" so we were welcome to order carry out. They have one waitress? No backup plan? Know how cold the pizza would be by the time we got back to indiana? Or did they expect us to eat it in the car? In any event, I suppose I'll never be back in there, and I certainly won't miss them. Horrible, unprepared management. read more

We are unaware that they were closed for dining services, but were able to order pizza and eat it inside the building. There were just no servers. The pizza was very good. Nice sauce good, amount of cheese, and perfect crust. First time here, it's definitely older pizza tavern vibes, hole in the wall. Dark in here, apparently they don't always have waiters so you have to order at the counter , they do bring the food to you once ready. But over all the pizza is good, would come back again. Quick update. I felt adventurous and tried their thin crust pizza instead. Definitely not as good as their stuffed pizza. Their thin crust pizza was a bit too saucy and I felt like the sauce tasted too much like tomato pasta sauce. The cheese also didn't do it for me this time. I gave up on this place years and years ago and I decided to give this place another chance. And they gave us a complete burnt pizza. I threw it right out bc it tasted so nasty. I didnt bother calling bc years ago when i did the manager/owner was so rude he wouldnt replace or refund a pizza back then and told us to f* off because he has many other happy customers and didnt need us and hung up. I was in shock then and still in shock bc i dont know how they are still in business today. My guess is he intentionally burned the pizza on purpose bc our phone # was flagged. We have been coming here since a child and it's the best deep dish around ! The pizza is always cooked to perfection ! The wait staff has always been so pleasant and talkative and the owner is always there and willing to share a few stories for you . The decor is still original I think but it gives you the old school pizza place feel to it ! The mozzarella sticks are a must try also , the are very large and not like your typical sticks . The crust and the toppings were delicious. My husband and I ordered a medium, I think. Half pepperoni and sausage, half mushrooms and onions with extra pizza sauce. The sauce just didn't do it for us, it was very bland, no seasoning, no salt. It was a total miss. We've been wanting to try them for months, their hours never fit with our schedule, so when everything finally aligned, we were thrilled and disappointed at the same time. Well we tried this pizza because Roger Molina g on the food network spoke highly about this pizza. We walked in and felt right away we were back in 1970 and the menu is very simple. Pizza thin , deep dish and stuffed. Two different salads and that was it. It looked like beer was on tap only. Soda by can and bottle. Pizza we had was the deep dish and my wife and I aren't big on a lot of dough. It was good sausage and cheese and the sauce was decent. The service was great. Ordered Ninos, which we do many times a year. I'm very disappointed in my most recent visit. We ordered a party sausage; we always order sausage. I go pick up the pizza. It's a party cheese. I tell them this is wrong and it should be a sausage. They look around confused and say well it's a cheese. No apology. No attempt to amend the situation or anything. It was basically take what they made or wait around another 30 minutes (which they didn't even offer). They just stared at me until I paid for what they made. Get home and the pizza is not good. Nino's is an old school pizzeria that serves a great tasting pizza. Their thin crust is standard in regards to thickness. Sauce is a little sweet but not like a sweet sauce place in Oak Lawn that we all know. The sausage is tasty and comes in a good amount when ordered. The pepperoni is on top so it gets that nice crisp to it. Carry out is easy and the counter workers are friendly even when swamped. Eating inside is an experience. I called in a to go deep dish sausage, and the staff were friendly during the phone order and during pick up As for the pizza itself, they had just the right amount of cheese and they weren't greedy at all with their sausage. A very delicious sausage indeed. However, the reason for the 3 stars is for their sauce. It had a sweet taste to it. A taste I'm not to familiar with and would take time getting used to. Ninos is a great place for a family that wants pub style pizza. Cozy atmosphere, kid friendly and tasty pizza. If you are enjoy draft beer, I am being 100% honest. Their miller on draft is amazingly crisp. We had several while the kids entertained themselves at the coin games. I definitely will return. This location has been here for a very long time and has not changed since I was a child. That says something about a place. read more

I just love this pizza so much that when I visit the Chicago area, I have to bring some back to Reno. I went there for dinner, and my wife requested that I bring back an xtra-large stuffed pizza with sausage and mushroom. (Since she was picking me up at the airport when I returned, I figured I best listen) While the restaurant could use updating, (been around for years) I don't come for the décor. There are several TV's to watch your sports games. They do have a variety of beers which of course you can do a pitcher or a mug that looks almost like a pitcher itself. The weekends can and will get crowded here. Don't be in a hurry, as the deep dish and stuffed takes about 45 minutes to cook. But it's so worth the wait, and you won't walk away hungry by any means. read more
