Brought my car in for smog this week. Customer service on point. I never use yelp but i had to open an account just so i can express my thoughts on how proffessional service providing and how customer satisfaction is their number one concern. Prices are decent and you get a self satisfaction knowing your vehcile is being inspected with a professional personal. Horrid customer service today. Two dudes were working on a car in the driveway, figured it was for the shop next door. No one asked if I needed anything, so I decided to call the shop on the phone. The phone rings, and no one answers or heads to the phone. Finally, I asked one of the dudes with the truck:" do you know if they're open today?" Dude says: smog guys right there." The second dude was the smog guy. Only after that, did he ask if I needed a smog. I will not be patronizing this @hole place again. I left and went to a place on Maclay in San Fernando. read more

Great, fast, and friendly service. Mat's a cool guy. There's a pretty nice flatscreen to watch while you wait for your test to be done (which isn't long at all). Nick is a one man show who knows how to run a successful business. He gives good customer service over the phone and it carries over in person. I've come here for my last 3 smog checks. Really nice guy, friendly and personable. Shop is clean. I don't know if he takes appointments but I've always just driven over to his shop and I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes. Wish I'd known about the Yelp coupon before but, in this day and age, it's hard to find great customer service so the extra few bucks is worth it, although I'll be using the coupon from now on, lol. read more

He was very kind , even stayed a few minutes late to help me since I had basically arrived at home. The work was complete with a blind of an eye. Yesterday my Altima finally passed the smog test. I had replaced my battery and a sensor and I didn't realize that all the computer settings were reset to zero. I took my car into Nicks last month and it didn't pass. The monitor read that my OBII wasn't ready. Nick suggested that I drive the car a lot before coming in again to get a retest. I drove it 1,200 miles plus before it passed. Nicks had a 30 day free retest policy. Unfortunately my car passed after that period. BUT Nick was always very nice and professional about retesting twice before it finally passed. This was the first time that my 2005 Altima didn't pass a smog test. Since the State changed the procedure of sticking a device into the tailpipe and now they attach a small device under the dashboard to monitor the readings. Nick said that a lot more cars aren't passing the smog test the first time around. I always take my cars to Nicks Smog to get my Smog Test. It's fast and painless. Nick is a nice guy and is honest. I recommend Nicks Smog Test for everybody. read more

Before I brought my car I called first to ask the cost. A guy quoted me over the phone that smog check for my car was $24.95 including certificate. When I was there and after it done, I ask how much, he said $65. then I said but you told me over the phone that it's $24.95. Instead of asking when did I call and what's my phone number, he's mad and yelled at me, he accused me a liar and crook. I told him that I really called and he could check on his phone that my phone number would be there on received calls list. and it's true my number was there. but still instead of apologized and gave me the price that he quoted he kept yelling and thread to call police also another older man there yelled at me Too bad another car came, I wished he really called police. I never met a businessman like him. For decades of my life. I've been dealing with many kind of businesses, no one yelled at me and accused me a liar. Usually they agreed and believed me. I did not lie to him or to other businesses. I had print out from TWC, my phone provider, what time I called and how long it last, unfortunately TWC don't have recording conversation. I also printed from my screen that other place's price was $19.95 exclude certificate, so Nick's price was reasonable and it's not too good to be true. Be careful people, if possible record your conversation. read more
