I just moved to the area and saw my local people. Thought I would try Greek food that I've been eating my whole life. I ordered to-go and for pick-up. I called and ordered two Gyro Platters that came with fries and salads, as well as, the galaktoboureko desserts that Yelp stated was complimentary as a first-time customer. I ordered over the phone and the guy had attitude, he also stated that he was unaware and has never heard of a free dessert option from Yelp, which I had to pay for. I also pronounced the dessert the way it is said and the guy didn't even know the real name of the Greek dessert they sell. The food was okay. Everything was very dry and salty. I know Greeks love salt and to cook with spices, but my family has operated several restaurants, and I can say this food was not cooked to perfection. If you're looking for fast food type to-go food, order from here. If you want real Greek food, try places like Nostos. read more

Been there two times. First time we came for an early pre-movie lunch. The schwarma wraps we got were on the *dry* side of the moistness scale, but I recall them at least being generous with the fries. Hummus was excellent and the star of the show -- they serve it every meal with crispy fried pita chips. Very good. *3-star experience* Second time back, different story. This time we came for a post-movie dinner, and the food was excellent. Le gf and I shared the appetizer sampler and the mixed grill dinner. Both were tasty; and after dinner we exchanged nods signifying we were happy with our decision. The hummus pregame was excellent once again -- I really like their hummus, best I've had I think. The appetizer sampler was decent, the Spankopita was very flaky and hot -- probably the best spankopita I've had (but I've only had it a couple times ever, so probably not the best judge). We both really liked the baba ghanouj, it had a little bit of a smokey flavor. The falafel and dolmades were just okay to me... falafel was a little dry -- but again, I'm no expert on falafel so I'm not sure how its supposed to be. ...and there was more of that hummus. Did I mention I'm diggin' on that hummus?? Also, I have to mention that the pita bread was very very good. It was moist and spongy, really great texture and tasted very good -- I wonder if they make it in house. The meat on the mixed grill was moist and cooked to order perfectly. The steak on it was so tender you could almost cut it with a fork. Juicy and a perfect medium. The chicken and the ground beef patty were no slouches either, moist and fork tender with a tasty, but not overpowering seasoning blend. That being said, the steak was the star here. I didn't look at the menu all the way through, but if they have an option for just the steak, I would get that next time... really good. The waiter Dominik was friendly, did a great job, kept our water filled, and lit us a candle and to "set the mood". Will definitely come back again some day when we are checking out a movie at the adjacent Brambleton movie theater. So 5 stars for our second visit, minus a star for the pretty dry meat we got the first time in our wrap. Spacious, clean looking, high ceiling, consistent polite and warm ( just enough, not pushy) service with a traditional Greek menu make for a fine dining experience. We've dined here at least 5 or 6 times in the past year and were always satisfied with the quality of the food and the pleasant ambience. We always come at off peak hours so not sure how they handle crowds but certainly recommend considering them as an excellent choice for dinner: very good value for money. read more

This place has really gone down. The fries taste greasy and not the "good" kind of greasy. The chicken souvlaki has no flavor. The service is slow. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants before we moved out here. We used to drive out 30 minutes to eat at Nick's. Now we live 5 minutes away and never bother to visit. We came here tonight for a casual date night, we got seated immediately and as we looked over the menu we were excited to try the food. If we can find a place where I actually like Mediterranean food, it's a winner. We were promptly greeted by our server, Ryan, who, throughout the meal was fantastic. He brought us some hummus and chips (much better than the first time we tried it) to start, our drinks, then took our order. We opted to get the zucchini fritters as an appetizer which were very good. Their tzatziki sauce is quite dilly in case not all enjoy that flavor. For our meals, we got one chicken kabob platter and the salmon special. The salmon, as I was told, was delicious with not one piece left on the plate. The chicken was also very good with great flavor. The only complaint I would have would be the rice. It was pretty bland and dry, even with the weird tomato sauce they put on top. Our visit on Saturday was a spur of the moment decision as we were in town. Definitely worth the stop. We were given a free bowl of hummus and hot pita chips as a welcome. The saganaki was excellent basil well as the soujouk which had a nice spicy kick. We finished off with two lamb souvlaki sandwiches. Our server was the best and very attentive. The servers are accommodating and kind even if they're running back and forth from the bar to the patio to keep your drinks full on a hot day and you want everything keto. So bummed. I was craving Greek food like at the level of Nostos Restaurant in Tysons (or at least close to it), but was very disappointed. I wanted something light given how hot it's been outside so ordered the Horiatiki salad that comes with grape leaves and a side order of Tzaziki with extra pita....$19 later a very disappointed guest. How can you get a salad wrong with grape leaves that had no filling and looked like they had the life sucked out of them bc they were so skinny:(( the Tzaziki was not tzaziki... I believe it had canola oil or some other version of oil on top instead of olive and it just tasted off and didn't have the right consistency. And pita should be pita not Naan bread toasted. Too bad because it would be such a great perk to have a greek restaurant that is credible and not just a name like one reviewer stated. Sadly will not go back. Just moved into Brambleton about 3 weeks ago. I love my Mediterranean food and the reviews on yelp looked good. We ordered the Mediterranean pasta, beef shawarma. The food was mediocre at best. Our server - Lena was fantastic which is the only reason why I am giving them 3 stars. Got a free dessert from yelp for checking in. The server didn't know and asked the manager, who came to the table, clicked on the phone and told the server to let them order whatever dessert they want. Never acknowledged yes or asked us how the meal was. Anyways will not be spending money at this restaurant again not planning to go there again. read more

Hey, Nick, get your Greek on! Until you do, OXI ! I won't be back! This place is just another one of the sad Greek in name only- restaurants in this area. I don't understand the Greek restaurants here that lessen the Greekness of their food. Where is the fierce Greek food pride? Nick's removed Taramosalata ( a caviar spread), skordalia ( garlic spread) from the menu, and replaced Greek melitzanosalata (eggplant spread) with Babaganoush. Melitzanosalata != babaganoush!!! NOT! NOT!! Babaganoush has tahini in it, like hummus does, while melitzanosalata only has garlic, lemon, olive oil parsley and occasionally tomato or bread crumbs. The Tzatziki is watered down and full of chunks of cucumber ( Greeks grate their cucumber and salt and squeeze it to remove liquid so it is thick, and it didn't have much garlic, or dill or mint in it. Real Tzatziki is made with thick, strained Greek yogurt. It is not the thin sauce served with Iranian/Persian, Afghani, Iraqi shish-ka-bobs. The complimentary hummus tasted neither of chickpeas, garlic nor tahini (and since when is hummus Greek?) The meze sampler was a tablespoon of the spreads ( Tzatziki, and feta-pepper) in quarter cup ramekins, two small canned dolmades, two fried falafel balls in which there were crunchy bits of uncooked garbanzo beans, two triangles of frozen spanakopita ( spinach pie). The mixed grill platter was two cubes of beef, two of chicken a ground meat patty a chunk of raw onion and a piece of raw green pepper. They use basmati rice-- I've never heard of a Greek that uses basmati rice or even knew what it was. I love basmati rice, but it doesn't give the right flavor for Greek food. And on top of the enormous pile ( it must have been two cups of rice) was a small circle of tomato sauce. Greeks have so many ways of preparing rice, this was just a cheap easy way of making a skimpy portion of meat look like a generous plate, and that was $17! You get much more meat, better cooked and flavored for less money at most of the non-Greek middle eastern restaurants. The avgolemono (chicken stock base with egg (avgo) as thickener, and lemon (lemono) soup) was thick with orzo (pasta) starch not thickened with egg-- the taste gives it away, and there was no lemon in it until I asked for lemon and squeezed it in the soup myself. Stand up for your cuisine! Differentiate yourself from the other ethnic restaurants -- say Oxi! Be Greek! read more

Food is excellent & service is great! Hummus as a starter is some of the best I've ever had & is served with freshly fried crisps. I had chicken kabob entree and the chicken was so juicy, the rice cooked perfectly and tzatziki was so good you could eat it alone! We dipped extra pita bread in it. Husband got the Pastitsio which is like a Mediterranean lasagna and was INCREDIBLE. It was served with a green bean with red sauce dish that I fought him over. We ordered a hummus to go since we couldn't get enough. We look forward to making this a weekly spot and hope they stick around...they do it right and everyone is super friendly, fast & helpful! read more

Food is amazing, Service was impeccable, and ambiance was inviting and warm. I ordered a mixed grille and my girlfriend got a lamb shank, the beef was amazingly cooked and the sauce was nice and juicy. I tried some of my girlfriends lamb shank and it was melt-in-your-mouth savory goodness. Loved the service, very fast and efficient, server always made sure we were set and good to go. I'm not sure about the rest of the food here, but I ordered Avgolemono Soup. This soup is egg lemon broth with pulled chicken and orzo. The soup that I received had these aspects however, there was a very small amount of chicken and orzo within it all. With the chicken that was in there, most of it was either pure fat or pieces of the bone. I ordered takeout and couldn't correct my order as I had left already. Again, I can't judge the rest of the food here but I sure don't recommend ordering the Avgolemono Soup. read more

My wife and I like to eat here before we go to Fox Cinema. This evening we stopped in and the waitress started to seat us next to a family that had three children running all over the place. They were running and screaming all over the small stage. We asked to be seated in the bar because of the screaming children. That didn't help. The parents just let their three children run and scream and the management did nothing about it. We left and went to the Blue Ridge Grill and had a wonderful dinner before going to the theatre. This is not the first time this happened. We won't be back. Follow up: We went back again and had a similar experience. We spoke to the manager about the children running all over the place and he said "We don't interfere with the parents and their children." After hearing that we told him that we were leaving and would not return. We don't waste our time on this place anymore. We do not mine well behaved children in a restaurant, or even a noisy or unruly child as long as the parents deal with it; but to allow your children to run all over the place while others are trying to eat their dinner is not acceptable in my opinion. I love this restaurant! chicken SOUVLAKI and their unlimited house chips with hummus and their salad are fantastic!!!!! The chips is so crispy and light that I can eat two bowls of it every time! I order it every weekend as a treat to my self and family! The tabouleh is amazing too! Wish they can open more restaurants in DC! Being a foodie, I've pretty much written off all of the restaurants in Ashburn as they're mediocre at best. This place has changed hands (apparently over a year ago) and is now a Greek restaurant/sports bar. I wasn't expecting much as the previous place (Nick's Corner Grill) was well below par. I ordered the gyro and was pleasantly surprised with the right proportions of meat, onions, tomatoes and tzaziki sauce. The service was friendly and quick. This place was good enough to add into my regular weekend meals. Hoping this place sticks around! read more

Our party of 6 stopped by have some apps and drinks on the patio. There were only 3 tables occupied on patio that had more than 10 tables open. We specifically asked if they allowed dogs on the patio to which they said yes. So our entire group sat on the patio and at that point we were told our dog couldn't join us, she had to be kept outside of the fence. Then we couldn't join 2 tables together, we had to share a table meant for no more than 4 people for 6 adults. Ee asked if this was against fire code which the server said no, it's just our policy. We decided to leave the restaurant prior to ordering any food or drinks because we couldn't believe they would quickly change their policies or have ridiculous rules like not joining 2 tables together. Bottom line, this review does not include my opinion on their food or drink because we didn't have the opportunity to get that far. read more
