I was traveling through town on business with a friend and we decided to eat here. All I can say is top notch. The service was great and the food was even better. I can't remember what my buddy had, but I chose the Lasagna and we had the bruschetta for an appetizer. The bruschetta was spectacular and the lasagna hit the spot. It is very reasonably priced in my opinion. We also tried dessert. We ordered the tiramisu and crème brûlée. Both were great. I think the crème brûlée was better though. It's in a really neat area. I will definitely eat here again if I'm ever in the area. I wish I had taken pictures of the food. But trust me. It's worth giving it a go if you're in the mood for good Italian food. Nico's has a cool industrial design with a shout out to a traditional bar area. It's in Aggie land and east access. Love the tradition red/ white checkered table cloths like old Italy. Server, Carson was ahead of us on all questions related to the menu and had a great booth side manner. Portions are split in 3 types. 1/4 good for one, 1/2 good for two and family good for many. Warned all portions are as large as the western Kansas sky. Today we shared spaghetti marina with a meatball each. I think I actually used bowling balls smaller than the meat balls. Plenty of meat and a hardy addition to the Italian staple, spaghetti. Had a sampler for our appetizer ( bruschetta, mozzarella sticks, calamari, stuffed mushrooms and ravioli. The Straw Hat margarita and the Mango Mimosa both went well with lunch. Recommend all of the above. Stop here on your next visit. read more

I am in Manhattan for work. Nico's is just round the corner from our hotel and a colleague and I went there tonight. WOW! Food was incredible. And lots of it!! I had Tuscan Chicken which was a huge bowl of wonderfully breaded chicken (not too heavy on the breading) and delicious sauce. But it also came with an almost as large bowl of pasta (I chose fettucine) with it's own sauce and broccoli. So much food I took at least half with me, and they called that a 1/2 order! read more

I actually started out across the street at the Mexican place, but looking across the street, I was hoping for a hometown Italian experience and just walked over to Nico's. I wasn't sorry. it's been a really long time since I had some authentic Italian food made with loving care. The waiters were attentive and knowledgeable. We love supporting family-owned businesses such as Nico's Little Italy. The vibe in this restaurant is great and the plates are abundant. Many menu choices come in quarter, half or full size. Make sure you get an explanation of what each of them amounts to. The quarter size will do in most cases. The wait staff was delightful. Site outside for a ring side seat of the KState campus life. Lots of students passing by. I would have gone five stars on this but for an annoying drip-drip-drip from the overhang/ Wish they could fix that. read more

The food here is very good my wife had the shrimp pesto pasta and when I say this was they most tender shrimp I've ever had I myself ordered their Italian burger and this is the thickest burger I've seen in a restaurant environment the only complaint I have about the burger was the type of lettuce they used for it and I can drink a lot of liquid and my drink was never empty I had 5 refills in the time period I was there and my server Donnie is a very great server and has amazing customer service and he was so honest with how long we would wait or how many tables he had before getting to us again and I actually really respected that but they have a server there her name is Skylar but I don't think it was on purpose but I felt as if she came off kinda rude as well as I think she had stolen my servers tip because it had changed on the receipt I got back but over all of you are wanting a decent meal with your significant other I highly recommend coming here read more

Sort of) style was weird, the atmosphere was like walking into one of the bars, nothing fancy, wooden tables and chairs, just something odd about it. now that I have said that do not take it bad, for me it was odd, our server was personable and pretty spot on, we never had to ask for anything. The location is right in Aggieville. It was easy to get to from parking lot across the street. We were seated promptly. The hostess staff were very friendly and nice. Our waiter was excellent, nice and knowledgeable about the menu. He was very friendly and we had a great conversation with him. The food on the other hand was not very good. The spaghetti sauce was bland, the chicken Parmesan tasted like ground up chicken mixed with bread crumbs and dissolved in your mouth. The meatball was big, but tasted like mush. This quaint Italian restaurant was all that you would expect. We were seated at our reservation time and got cocktails to start the evening. Highly recommend the Bruschetta for a starter, I wish I didn't have to share it. The tomatoes and balsamic seasoning had so much fresh flavor. I didn't give much standard being in a small town but they did it great tasting food with the right amount of flavor. The wine that my server recommended for me, Sean Minor Cab Sav was oaky full body and smooth. I ordered the meat baked ravioli and the meat was just so flavorful with the crunchy buttery ravioli. Quarter spaghetti with 1 huge meatball. I was nervous... Last time I've seen a meat ball like that was at Bucca de Pepo.. or however spelt and I never went there again. Not Nico's! This place could not get better if they tried. Food was absolutely insane, we got 2 quarter sized entrees, 2 mixed drinks, 2 desserts and one appetizer all for around $75. More than enough food to share and keep ourselves full. The service is absolutely impeccable and I've probably never had better service in my life. The waiter, Caleb was extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes being served!!! Thank you Caleb. The taste of the pasta was extremely rich and everything was very satisfying. I hope they keep the cheesecake tiramisu on the menu as they said they were just testing it. Another thing to note is that My wife said the creme brûlée was the best she'd ever had! We have not had an Italian place in town for awhile, and Eric R. and I drove by when heading to Pandora for ice cream last week. We decided to come last Thursday later in the evening to have a meal on the patio when the weather was nice. When we arrived after 8:30 PM, there was only one patio table available and the inside was full, so clearly this was a popular place! A sister restaurant to Martinelli's in Salina, it was highly anticipated here. We were seated outside and out server Teagan brought us waters and bread. She was helpful in explaining the portion sizes (quarter is for one person, half for two, family for four to five). We started with the toasted ravioli appetizer, and Eric R. got a quarter Caesar salad. The toasted ravioli came hot and with a side of marinara. For entrees, Eric R. got the tortellini and chose it with pesto sauce, and I ordered the shrimp fra diavolo with linguini. The food came out piping hot. My shrimp had a nice char on them, and the dish was very flavorful. There was spinach and tomatoes crushed in my dish. Even at the quarter portion size, we had leftovers of both dishes to take in the cute small round to go containers provided. Our server refilled our water regularly too. There is a big dessert menu, but we were so full. We were able to enjoy the leftovers the next day - I just added roasted eggplant and turkey meatballs to them. I am not the biggest Italian food fan, but I thought this was a nice addition to town and would come back and try other things on the menu. Service was excellent. read more
