Ok, this is my favorite pizza place in Utah. The crust is just amazing! I love the Nico Special without mushroom and add black olives. I also tried the BBQ Chicken without Pineapple this time. It was fantastic. The wait always seems to be forever, so you want to call ahead, but it's worth the wait. We ordered and the wait was an hour and forty minutes on a Saturday night. But the pizza was worth every bite. I just asked my wife if it was worth the wait and she said, "definitely!" The ambiance is very casual. They have a fair number of tables and you can bring them together for bigger groups. It's right off campus at BYU, so there are lots of students that come in. But the reason I always come back is for the freaking pizza. It's just fantastic! If you like pizza, you have to at least try this plac

Great east coast pizza. Loved seeing all the customers in NY team gear. lol. Got half pepperoni and half cheese. Friendly staff. Good taste and value. Got a pie to go around lunch. Place had a nice crowd. Waited about 10 mins for the pie. Only comment is we tried to come for dinner after Christmas but they had closed for the week. There wasn't anything posted on their website but was apparently posted on their social. So check there I guess for up to date info.

Tasty, thin but not too crispy, pizza crust at Nico's. We tried a pepperoni and created our own for another version and both were very good. Tried one with BBQ and one with red pizza sauce; tried to order one with "blue cheese sauce" as listed on the menu, but I guess it doesn't exist. The Caprese salad is excellent and the green salad is good, but basic, with way too many croutons. The house-made salad dressing is unique and delicious. The wait for takeout wasn't bad, either; maybe just 15 minutes. The art is fun and clever, too, with a spacious and clean dining area. We'd be happy to eat inside next time.

You've got to love the open kitchen!

Favorite pizza in Provo, hands-down. They do a three day cold fermented dough which gives it a nice flavor and a delicious chew. It's a true thin crust experience. The vibe is great and the servers are helpful and friendly. If you haven't been, you definitely need to try Nico's.

What every bite reminded me of. Even after the pat down with paper towel

This place usually hits but the pizza made on 1/23/26 at 7:50pm was greasier than all the grease used in grease lightning. And the cashier's mama must've never taught him any manners. Told bro have a good night twice and he looked at me like I was speaking mandarin. Like I said, pizza usually hit but not tonight

I've tried a lot of pizza in my 23 years of life and this is the best, number 1, mot original, most delicious, kindest customer service and authentic place. The food outweighs the price by a million taste buds! I will always come to this place for pizza for the rest of my life. #bigbackcertified #ilovefood

Did not live up to the hype here on Yelp. Crust wasn't what people said it was for them.

The two works at the cash register seemed to care more about talking to each other than the customers. Especially because we shared it was our first visit and asked for recommendations. They were vague and not super helpful but that's okay. The unlimited salad bar was a little underwhelming. Some of the toppings seemed not very fresh and like they had been sitting out for a few hours. I also wish they had spinach as a lettuce option. I also wish they had hard boiled eggs, ham/chicken, bacon, etc. it would be more worth the price. I don't I would get this again unless they added some better items. The small plate is not worth $10. The garlic knots were nice and cheesy. They were very fresh and a nice starter. We both wished they had more seasoning/garlic. It tasted more like just the butter and cheese. If I order garlic knots, I want and expect, a lot of garlic. The chicken bacon pizza we ordered was nice and fresh. It didn't have a lot of cheese though and the ranch (which was the sauce) needed some more flavor. It had decent flavor overall, but with more cheese and seasonings, it would be better. The crust/pizza bread itself was delicious! I would definitely come back and the pepperoni pizza to give them a second chance!

Well, we're old, and we've been coming to Brick Oven (or Heaps, as it was once called) for almost…read more60 years, and I have to say, something is changing. Historically we've always had great food here, and we haven't been for a few months, but we were here just the other night with family for a graduation party, and almost everyone on our party commented the same way - "it isn't what it used to be". I don't know if it's changed ownership, or what has happened, but the quality of the food has gone downhill. I had the all-you-can-eat soup, salad, pasta bar. I always love their chicken noodle soup, but this time it was watery and not creamy like it's always been, and the flavor was entirely different. The salad bar was good, but their traditional green ranch dressing is no more, and all they use now is cheap, white, runny ranch dressing. The pasta bar was fair, but the selection of the sauces, I felt, was poor, and the marinara sauce that I settled on for my only trip thru was very watery. My wife ordered a small pizza, and it wasn't great. Very dry, hardly any sauce. Our server was great, no problem there, and the atmosphere is still good here, but their food quality is declining, and THAT'S what we come here for. Feels like they're cheaping out here. Pick it up, Brick Oven!

But everyone goes here or brings out-of-towners because it's someplace they went to as kids or BYU students. The pasta bar is very good with great sauce or gravy (if your from back east) options. Every cause I tried was great. Good Italian sausages and meatballs too. People rave about the freshly made garlic bread but I found it rather ordinary and more or less like we make at home, maybe we make better garlic bread at home than most people? But I was not impressed after all the hype. Great house-made root beer. Great Salad bar. Here is where opinions and tastes really matter, everyone told us how great the pizza was, we ordered three to go after our meal to take home. I was disappointed in all of them. Yeah, they are better than grocery store pizza but with the level of praise these good I was expecting something like Mellow Mushroom or high heat wood fired pizza. I found the dough too thick and ready and lacking in any buttery or crispy edges. The toppings were not special, canned or generic brands of meats you get at any grocery store deli counter. Maybe in the past it was once fresher and les from cans. The sauce was surprisingly lacking, if you are the kind of person who likes pizza that's really just bread with some cheese on it this will be your speed, one of my daughters doesn't like pizza sauce of any kind and she likes this pizza. For mee ti was way too thinly applied and with the really heavy cheese they use I felt like I was easting over priced cheese bread. The cheese itself was not the traditional mozzarella, it was some kind of blend that had a Gouda or goat cheese taste, some may love that but for me it was a turn off, maybe because I wasn't expecting it. The decor is fun and interesting and service was really good but over all for the price I was disappointed. Stick to the salad bar and pasta and you'll be very happy.
