I highly recommend this little place for anyone looking for some good Italian. Their paninis are great for lunch and their pastas are pretty awesome too. I especially recommend the linguini with shrimp in a lobster bisque sauce. No skimping on shrimp here. Parking is a little limited, but this place is good enough to warrant a little searching for parking. Prices are pretty good for the amount and quality of food here. The decor is very nice and well thought out. Great place for a dinner date. There's a wall full of wines and plenty of coffee if that's your preference. Their servers are really nice and they know the menu well. All in all a great place for lunch or dinner! read more

I should've wrote a positive review before since I've had 3 or so pretty good experiences at Ni.Do. (4/5). Their meat plate and cheeses is always great (not inexpensive, but very good). Unfortunately I will never go back to Ni.Do. after tonight. Service has always been pretty ok. Tonight we waited probably 15 minutes to just get someone to talk to us. Wine didn't come until after our cold pepper soup (was supposed to be hot). Dinners came ok timing after. Tonight was terrible, even though it was not busy. I couldn't understand the waiter, I don't really think he could understand us. Food: I've never been wow'ed by their actual meals. They're expensive for what they are, but ok. Tonight, we got cold soup, a really sub-par greek salad, an ok lasagna and an ok-at-best pasta with seafood (tasted frozen, shrimp tails were separated and integrated into the sauce for a terrible surprise, sauce was generic). Price: Here's what gets a 1/5 for me (put it as a 2/5 because the meat and cheese is good). The greek salad my wife got was really sub-par... standard packaged feta, kalamata olives were not all that great, size was an ok dinner size... it felt like something you could get at a chain restaurant for $8. Here's the kicker: the salad and 5 normal sized shrimp... $20.50. Absolutely ABSURD. We had a friend from out of town so my wife was nudging me not to say anything, especially because service was so slow it'd take another 20 minutes to get out. I said to the waiter that the price they charged for that salad was ridiculous and I can't believe they would charge us that - he replied that I talk too fast (i'm not a fast talker...). I didn't feel like sitting there and arguing without being able to communicate so here's their feedback. Short Story: Go there for the meat and cheese plates, but I'd highly recommend NOT going for their entrees. Really, really disappointed about the slow, sub par service that hardly acknowledged us and the incredulous price gouging for a crappy greek salad with a few unremarkable shrimp - no excuse for that. I feel like every time we've gone to Ni.Do. we wish it was the same experience as the first time, but seems to get worse. read more

You wouldn't guess it from the outside but the ambience here is wonderful. The outdoor patio is beautifully decorated and breezy and the staff is welcoming and helpful. The manager greeted us and found us seats immediately. Both she and the waitress ensured we had everything we needed. All of the food was delicious and we finished with a complimentary limoncello cake. Will definitely return here. read more

Had I never read these reviews in yelp I might have never experienced the deliciousness that is this place. Doesn't look like much from the outside but once you walk in through the patio it has a wonderful authentic charm about it. My waiter was by far the worst however that won't deter me from returning because the food was great! I had the lasagna and my aunt had the pappardelle in bolognese sauce. The owner is hilarious and has excellent customer service skills (unlike my waiter). Highly recommend this place. read more

I absolutely LOVE this place. Its easy to miss because it looks like nothing from the outside but It was great. We went for dinner. It's hard to find authentic Italian food in Miami. I'm from up north where that's all there is so to find a place that actually has really good authentic Italian food made me so happy. The Italian bread is as close to home as you can get here. The buratta and prosciutto was amazing! Some of the freshest cheese I've ever had. My fiancé had the veal ravioli which was so fresh and delicious. I had the risotto which was so amazing. We topped all this off with a bottle of wine and a delicious cannoli! This place is great and so reasonably priced. I can't wait to go back!! read more

Veronica know her patrons and has a unique way of transforming walk-ins into regulars. She misses nothing and no one. Brazen and endearing. Sophia Loren ( not only beautiful but an amazing foodie) meets Lady Gaga (figure it out for yourself)? Most of the servers follow her lead and use their own particular personalities to draw us in. Warm, attentive and efficient service is one of the absolute hall marks of Ni Do. The food is very good. No nonsense, straightforward and delicious. I've written before about some of my favorites and all them continue to please. I would say that the tagliatelle coi porcini has even improved. A few cool nights ago my mom ordered a special of tortolone bolognese which was outstanding. Substantial portion of jumbo tortellini (hence the -lone) with a rich and deeply satisfying meat ragu. I choose not to indulge in dessert during Lent but looking forward to limoncello chiffon cake and cannoli for Easter! The only "surprise" is that Ni Do continues to satisfy while others can't. Loyalty begets loyalty. Good food service and atmosphere depends on good people. Ni Do is "good people". read more

I don't know why everyone gives this place such great reviews. Been there several times and each time I've been thoroughly disappointed. Ordered the salmon once and it seemed frozen not fresh and very fishy. Ordered a steak the next time and it was of the quality of sizzler! Fat everywhere thin, and curling up a bit because the meat was so lousy. I'm told brunch is great there. Don't know if I can stomach another visit though. read more

This was our first time at NiDo and we absolutely loved it! We've driven by this place hundreds of time and never thought to stop as it's in a small strip mall on Biscayne. We came for a quick bite at 3 (a little late) and they were gracious enough to let us have brunch. We had the eggs Benedict, the classic and mare. Both were equally delicious, with a small salad. The best part of our experience was the service. Our waiter, runners and host were pleasant and accommodating from the moment we walked in. I decided to take my date here since she has never been. Again an amazing dinner. We started out with prosciutto crudo with barrata. Excellent choice especially with the chianti. I ordered the ravioli do ossobuco di vitello and my date had the branzino. Both dishes were superb. Although the Resturant was packed, service was superb. This used to be my favorite restaurant... their carbonara, their pesto, the service, the environment and the pricing was all just right. However, a couple of months ago, they changed the menu (food, wines and probably the chef too). The menu has been reprinted on nice paper-looks good but the offering is reduced and the service and staff just isn't the same. They serve you WAY too fast now, almost like they want you in and out quickly. So disappointed that the little gem is no longer what it was that made this place so great and kept people coming back. read more

Interesting concept, bad space, flawed execution. The steak sandwich was adequate. The bread was rock hard, but overall the bread was exceptional. Unfortunately the steak was stringy, tough and under-seasoned, but that was off-set by the other flavors. The penne with pesto was greasy with moments of brilliance. Just home from the most exceptional meal!!! Intimate atmosphere with the freshest most beautiful Italian cuisine. Our server, Ilaria, was a delight and guided us through the menu with her expertise. We started with a salad of grilled calamari atop farro, sundried tomatoes and arugula - need I say more! This was followed by a rich and satisfying pasta - paccheri with Italian sausage, potatoes, and garlic sauce. All of this complemented by a very nice affordable pinot grigio. Extremely pleasantly surprised!!!! Who would have thought that at an address like this one would be able to find such exquisite offerings. I stumbled into Nido by chance with my wife at lunchtime and It has since become one of our places to go. We especially enjoy the seafood and fish, be it salads and appetizers or entrees, it is always fresh and always delicious. They even serve BOTTARGA!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it on the menu......... Pasta like they serve you can only find in Italy, and finish with the Best Creme Blulee I have ever tasted.
