Other diners with me had the fig ravioli, burrata and beef carpaccio. Despite nice meal, the table and chairs were not that comfy. Didn't make me want to stay and enjoy my coffee and company. We ate and left. Also, while the inside of the restaurant has cute pics of Italy all over, there was a random gray painted square in the middle of the wall with no picture or painting. This quaint little restaurant looks unassuming, but as soon as you walk in, you know you're about to have the best food of your life. They have a live band playing music, which is also really nice here. Get the short rib ravioli. This is a must. This umami bomb of a dish is easily, the best ravioli I've ever had. It is packed with incredibly tender and well seasoned short rib, and covered in beautiful cheeses and sauce. I also personally really recommend their potato gnocchi. This is another handmade pasta. That is absolutely delicious, filled with ricotta and potatoes, and served with an excellent fresh tomato sauce, and topped with mozzarella. Oh Nido how much I've missed you. Finally made it back to Nido caffe after a few years. The restaurant still does not disappoint. If you love authentic Italian food this is your spot. Started off with the Bruschetta Classica which was on a toasted garlic bread with delicious tomatoes and basil which were so fresh it kept you wanting for more. Next was the Risotto which I really enjoyed but I personally like the texture more creamy, I still enjoyed it though. My favorite was the Fagottini di Pera con Gamberi which is a pear cheese filled pasta with parmesan cream sauce and shrimp. All I can say was amazing. Every mouthwatering bite had the pasta melting in my mouth. It was a perfect blend of creamy pasta and sweetness of the pear cheese. I definitely recommend this dish. Finally ended with Tiramisu which was very good. Starters range from $10-$18, Entrees $18-$40, and deserts from $10-15. They are open for lunch and dinner daily. There is a parking lot in front of the restaurant along with nearby street parking. Nido does everything right. We had a good server which was able to explain the menu and was attentive. It's a charming space which also has a small outdoor patio. The whole place makes you feel like your in Italy. Nido is a must try right in the heart of the MiMo district. read more

I ate dinner across the street from Nido Caffe and decided to wander in for coffee and dessert. The staff was very kind and attentive. They didn't have a coffee or dessert menu but staff provided us with their options. We ended up ordering decaf cortaditos along with a gluten free chocolate cake with ice cream and a tiramisu. The chocolate cake was absolutely delicious! Warm and flavorful. You couldn't guess it was gluten free. The tiramisu was also pretty tasty. The coffee was good and served with a biscotti. This is one of those places I wish I had visited sooner even though I had saved it to one of my collections a long time ago but here it goes...Natalie, the owner was the sweetest most welcoming and attentive person in the restaurant and she's the face of the place so right off the you can tell they take pride in what they do here. Started a most delicious dinner with a Chardonnay, some bread to dip in oil and balsamic vinegar and a Caprese salad to get things going. Natalie recommended a few specials but I was there for one thing and one thing only...the short rib ravioli. I was not dissatisfied or one bit, perfectly cooked pasta stuffed with flavorful short rib in a white creamy sauce to die for. I mean I could eat just a basket of bread and this sauce as a dipping sauce, my god. Portions were just perfect after all that bread and I could almost lick the plate had I been alone. I left some room for the house made Tiramisu that came in a unique presentation as you can see in one of my pics, as a small clay planter I kid you not and it was super delish. I mean the food, the service and the ambiance are perfect for either a group or just an intimate romantic dinner for two.
