Back in mid-2021, I purchased a brand-new ATV from Nielson's Enterprise. Unfortunately, the machine arrived with shipping damage from Yamaha. My salesman assured me that all the damaged parts (the seat and the front plastics) would be replaced, no problem. A few months later, I received an email that the parts were in. When I replied that I'd pick them up, I was suddenly told the dealer had to install them--something I was never told up front. Living 1.5 hours away, arranging the trip wasn't easy, especially over the winter, so I pushed it off since the machine was barely used. Fast-forward to now: the ATV still has less than 50 miles on it, and I finally reached out to schedule the repair. Instead of honoring their word, I was met with a short email stating "too bad, the parts were returned." No warning, no reminder, no chance to get it done before a deadline. When I pushed back, I kept receiving the same dismissive responses--"there's nothing we can do, it's between you and Yamaha." But this wasn't a Yamaha issue. I bought the machine from Nielson's, and it was their responsibility to make it right before sending my parts back. After many emails, I've gotten nothing but short, unhelpful replies. The whole experience has been extremely disappointing, especially since I've purchased several machines from Nielson's before and had planned to continue. This lack of accountability and unwillingness to stand behind their sales has left a bad taste in my mouth. Sadly, I cannot recommend Nielson's Enterprise based on how they've handled this situation. read more

The Nielsen service team are excellent to work wIth and very good at providing excellent customer service. I had some damage to one of my jet skis and they worked with my insurance company to help get everything fixed up and looking like new. Andy and Sean were on top of things every step of the way and couldn't be happier with the results. I had some nice nose damage and honestly not sure it was fixable. The Nielsen team did a very nice job fixing the fiberglass damage and repainting. Now I did have an issue coming out of the shop late last summer with the paint not being quite right. Andy was super when he offered to work everything at the end of the season and wanted me to enjoy to jetski at that point. I just got it back from the rework tHis winter and was very happy with the results now. This is the first experience with a marine Sevice shop for me honestly and was dreading having to deal with getting this jetski fiixed. I extremely picky and I have to say that The Nielsen. Team was so great to work with. I would highly recommend getting you work done with them. read more

I bought a 2020 Yamaha Tracer 900 GT from Nielsen and Mike Fouke was the salesman. I was having difficulty deciding between two bikes and he very fairly and kindly gave me his view on the pluses and minuses of each machine. Without being pushy at all, Mike was informative, patient and obviously understood very well his motorcycles. I feel like I got a fair deal on the bike and the buying experience here turned out to be quite pleasant. He gave me a detailed orientation to the electronics of the machine and stayed after a half hour past closing time to make sure I understood its complexities! I might just buy another bike from here sometime soon. Edit! I ended up buying another bike from them and the experience was the same as the first. Amazing! Update: After going to Nielsen Enterprise Powersports now for almost 5 years now, they never fail to surprise me. Their service/parts department are super knowledgeable with really fair repair prices. The apparel department for jackets and gear etc. are really informative and helpful too! Always patient and never pushy, they help me choose my gear well as the ladies who work there all ride too. Larkin knows her stuff! I can't imagine going to anyone else. Brought my brand new Yamaha JetBlaster in to have warranty work done on the trim. They did not inform me that my parts were in and that they replaced a relay. Brought the blaster back home to find 2 screws rounded over, piece of plastic melted and torn up because they torqued the screws way way too much, along with sending the same screw through my wiring loom. Screws on the side plastics were only a 1/4 way in so plastics were loose and flopping around. They sent me home with the machine in this condition knowing I was going to ride it. Wires exposed. Pure laziness of the mechanics. Communication with this place is a joke. I've heard plenty of poor things about Nielsens and they for sure no longer have my business. Do not recommend!! read more

Took my battery out of my waverunner when it went in for storage. Didn't notify me of this. Changed my mind on storing and picked up the waverunner the next day but they didn't put the battery back. Didn't find out until I had moved out of state months later and went to charge my battery and found no battery. After contacting them and explains the situation, the basically said they couldn't help me. They had my battery and neglected to put it back when I went to pick up my waverunner and now would not either reimburse me or send me my battery. Totally unprofessional. They dropped the ball and didn't make good on it. read more

These people are dishonest. I purchased a Yamaha Wave Runner for my family in February 2023 paid a deposit (see attached) with a promise of receiving it on or about June 2023, When the unit arrived they asked me to pay in addition to all the extra fees we had to pay above the manufacturers suggested price of $19,999.00 They wanted to charge me another delivery charge, claiming the unit had to come from another dealer from Michigan. I would not do business with these people ever it's just a scheme between Mackenzie O'Neil , the sales person, and the owner, Ted Nielsen , they are simply dishonest and manipulators and just play games to extract additional money out of the costomers. Considering buying a Wave Runner boat or ATV is a relationship between you as a customer and a dealer no relationship here, don't do business with these people. If you must; please read the fine prints. We end up not buying from Nielsen, a little dent to our summer plans, hopefully next year from a different Dealer perhaps DUPAGE HONDA YAMAHA or someone in Wisconsin read more

Called them to do a simple software fix / calibration. The service staff is not knowledgeable how to use the software explaining to me that they don't think it is possible. After consulting with other techs told me that they are booked for at least for 2 weeks and finally they won't do it for liability purposes. That is very funny how their answer has changed 3 times in just few minutes. Not the best / friendly dealer ever. Will go somewhere else. read more

Despite being almost 900 miles way, it was far easier and less expensive to do business with these guys instead of my local dealer or anyone else I searched for on CycleTrader.com. I bought my low mileage 2022 GoldWing there this week, as they were about $3000 better in value than my local dealer, FAR more responsive, and hey, U-Haul motorcycle trailers are only $14.95 a day! After driving all the way up there from Ft Worth, TX, I was so relieved to find everything was exactly as described or better. Mike Fouke was fantastic - responding to my many questions on the phone and via email and in person, quickly closing the deal, and spending a significant amount of time demonstrating and configuring the bike's many features, and then loading it on the trailer and properly strapping it down. I received a fair trade value on the can am spyder I traded in & they even gave me a sizeable discount on some helmets and riding gear which I greatly appreciated. Its hard to get five stars in my book but they definitely earned that when it was time to get some much needed service done. I have to admit I was skeptical going in thinking I was getting ready to get hit with a very large bill but that was not the case.
