Every once in awhile old friends come into town and all 16 want dinner and room to talk, not a banquet after all. I called Amanda at Uptown and she assured me that she would sit us up so we could do as I had requested. The arrangement was beyond believable. A small nook in the back of the restaurant. Perfect Andrea greeted me the minute I walked in and made sure it was ok! Of course. The next test was good service. She got everyone their drinks within minutes of one another. She asked when to take the dinner order. And did so as I had asked. Get this, the food was unbelievably good and she delivered it, and seemed like she did so all at the same time. Outstanding! The manager stopped by and we sang our appreciation for the service we had gotten. I have to be honest, this was the first time and the first place 3 or 4 didn't complain and we have tried dining as a crowd for many years. Everything was perfect. Will we be back ? You betcha!

Love this location. The view out back is beautiful. We went at 2 in the afternoon and the service was great. Very helpful with suggestions and quick delivery. I tried the original TBK and the bourbon barrel TBK. They both were wonderful. Got the whipped feta for an appetizer (a little too dank for me) but if you like bold cheese flavors you will love it. I ordered the breaded tenderloin and fries. Very yummy. My friend ordered the Rueben. She loved it.

We just walked out and while the food was awesome and service was overall quick, I was very frustrated when our bill came and $6 kids meals turned into $11 and $14 meals due to up charges we weren't made aware of. Our son was going to order two meals, one burger and one mac and cheese and she asked if he just wanted it at the side, and I asked if they could do that and she said "yeah we can". Not mention that it was a $5 up charge. We then ordered the same for our other two with bacon added for one. No mention about packages. The bill came and instead of $18 it was $36. They could have gotten adult meals for that price (and one ordered an addition burger meal because it wasn't enough food). I was a server for 15 years, and I have NEVER not tipped, like ever, and today I left $0 with a note. It's so easy to just say "yes, that will be a $5 up charge".

Upland Brewing Company is based in Bloomington, Indiana but they have expanded with 4 restaurants in the Indianapolis area and 1 in Columbus, IN. My family and I had stopped at the 82nd Street location in Indianapolis for dinner. They have more than a dozen of their beers on tap, including the year-round Dragonfly IPA and Wheat Ale, but they also have seasonal selections and a handful of sours. For dinner, I enjoyed the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with Broad Ripple chips ($15). The giant piece of fried chicken was topped with blue cheese slaw and horseradish pickles on a toasted brioche bun. This was a really good sandwich, not overly spicy, but with a subtle heat that I enjoyed thoroughly. My wife noticed that any of their burgers can be subbed for grilled or fried chicken, black-bean patty, local bison, or impossible meat. She had the Bad Elmer's Fav with fried chicken, sharp cheddar, applewood bacon, Bad Elmer's Porter BBQ, lettuce, tomato, and onion along with a side of brewery fries ($16.50). This was an enormous plate of food! I think the Nashville hot was the better choice, but still, this was really tasty. Our kids enjoyed their selections from the kids menu. Our service was wonderful and the meal was pretty quick for a Friday evening. We would definitely return when back in Indianapolis.

Restaurant was clean and nice. Service was good, but I was one of two tables there on a Sunday night. Food was on the expensive side, and not that remarkable. The salmon was a tad burnt, and I was left wanting more. No sides on a $24 plate? That's crazy. The burger was ok. Nothing to marvel at. My bacon was cold, and the cheese was NOT EVEN MELTED. Overall, I would not actively try to come back here anytime soon. There's better burger places out there.

Deceptively spacious inside with a great rotating beer selection. The burger and fries were excellent loved the beer cheese! Caught some trivia while there, which was fun. Overall, a cool spot with good food and drinks.

First things first, I was obsessed with our waitress, she was so friendly and did such a good job taking care of us! That alone would make me come back. As for the food it was okay! Not pictured was a Ruben I got and that was really good! Unfortunately they seemed to be out of a lot of the items on the menu (the app we ordered and two of the beers we tried to get) but once we got our food we were happy! It's your typical bar food, nothing crazy but did the job! All in all I would recommend!

I've been on business travel lately and I was sent to Indianapolis for the first time. Once I checked into my hotel I did a Yelp search for food and found this brewery was very close. I like trying local places and avoiding chain restaurants so I headed over. My bartender was very friendly. I asked for a recommendation on beer and she asked what my favorite types are. I said Stouts, Reds, IPAs in that order. She told me about their beer called Teddy Bear Kisses. She also gave food recommendations, which was good but nowhere near the beer :) The Stout was amazing, one of my top five stouts all time. It was strong, very flavorful, and smooth. I wish I could have taken some home to Texas with me. Breweries here could learn a thing or two from Upland. I ordered a pizza, which was good. I don't want to take away from that, but the. Were left the impression on me. Service was excellent, everyone was friendly.

Great spot! Lots of natural light, corner lot with a large patio, excellent, chill vibe. Our waiter was insanely friendly. He could not have been more excited to be at work and interact with customers. He was willing to explain anything about the menu and beers and just chat in general. I ordered the Turkey Avocado Salad; it is now atop my list of best salads. There was soooo much going on in the salad from the fresh turkey to the plentiful avocado to the delicious dressings and the crunchy granola, I just loved it. It was also huge! I took about 1/3 home with me, but ate it as soon as I got there because I was craving the flavors. My son got a basic burger. He's not much one for adventure or toppings, so although a plain burger, he was really happy with the quality of the beef and the bun. The fries were an excellent side choice. They were very yummy, as I may have snagged a few :-) I also enjoyed the $5 Friday beer special and had the Wheat pint. It was light and enjoyable. Good summer beer! I went to IU where the original Upland began, I'm happy to see them expand and do so so successfully!

Met here for brunch on Father's Day to celebrate with 9 others. It was my first time, but not my last. The food was really good. Everyone enjoyed their meals. It wasn't busy at the time, but the parking lot was full with vendors and booths for some kind of market. Our waitress was helpful with suggestions and recommendations. The smoked wings were good as was the chicken and waffle. Very flavorful. We also enjoyed the Fever winning a game while dining.

I met some friends for dinner and a beer at the new Upland Brewery location in Castleton. The ambiance is very nice with big screen TVs all over the place and the beer menu displayed on the walls. The food was good as it always is at Upland Brewing company. I ordered the Blackened Salmon BLT with fries and it was delicious. The beer is always good, especially the sours. I had the Two for Tarts Rose with mango and passion fruit and the Juicy IPA. They were refreshing and wonderful on the pallet. However, the service at this Upland Brewing company location was disappointing. I asked for a water with my beer twice and never received it, and when I asked for a second time, the server had a condescending attitude about it. Our server was hardly ever available when we needed it, and seemed to disappear if we needed something. We had to grab another server to take our food order because our server was not available. It was a good thing I had a gift card to use for Upland Brewing company for my meal, because I would not have paid the price for the mediocre service I received at this location. Other than that, everything else was fine, but the majority of the big screen TVs did not work and had a message across the TV stating there was a technical issue with the basketball game we were watching during our meal, so that was a huge inconvenience. Looks like the manager needs to check on the cable situation for the TVs. Usually, I am a big fan of Upland Brewing company and have had a good experience at their locations, but at this particular location, it was not a good experience service wise. If the staff work on their customer service and fix their TV issue, then this location will be a great place for a meal and beer. Upland Brewing company has great beer and good food, so I would hate to have this location go down in flames due to lack of customer service. I would recommend the manager give some training on customer service to the staff at this particular location to make things better for themselves. It is just a recommendation based on my experience. Other than that, Upland Brewing company is a good place for a beer and a meal. I highly recommend the sour beers. They are fantastic.

I'm giving this place at least 2 stars mainly because our server, Deedee, was fantastic and clearly worked incredibly hard. Unfortunately, we had to wait 20 minutes for what seemed like microwaved $12 nachos. The food overall was just average, and we left feeling unsatisfied--not because of Deedee, though. It was clear Deedee was one of the few holding things down with little support. My husband's cheese on his burger was cold. The best thing I ate were the fries which became stiff after a couple minutes. The restaurant was clean with hardly any guests. The prices were way too high for the quality of food we got. When we arrived, we were given the option of sitting in the bar or family area. We were told the family area was overwhelmed with kids, so we chose the bar. I'm guessing the restaurant was understaffed, especially for a Monday afternoon. The drinks were overpriced, so we ended up skipping them. Unfortunately this was our first time trying Upland Brewing with high expectations for the restaurants around the area. Overall, will probably never consider this place again.

Decided to try a different place for supper tonight that landed us at Upland Brewing. It's a very spacious bar/restaurant. At first entrance it was quite noisy. Thankfully they sat us around the far side of the bar so it was a bit quieter. The server was very friendly and made great suggestions. I tried the break away beer. It was light and refreshing. Not overly filling as some beers can be. We had the whipped feta. I'm not a fan of hot stuff and even though it had jalapeño- it wasn't hot and was very tasty! Entrees- I did the Wit Mac n cheese and added bison. It was fantastic. But a lot of food. Other entree was a Caesar. Add chicken. Both meals were good. Another restaurant worth visiting if you're in the area! Parking was fairly easy on the street or a nice size lot.

The newest pizza added to the menu is beautiful, just lacks in flavor.

We got there early and were able to have some drinks and food, including the nachos. Man, I was not expecting BBQ sauce and like a mustardy sauce and cheese and it was flavor exploding, loved it. The venue inside the space, with the car, is quaint with seating and you get to see everything happening outside the space as well. This last time, we were in the original Guggman Haus brewing building that houses the coffee. This is adorable! We had service the entire time, including a bartender and the beer. They made everything super easy and I would consider this space for a baby shower, bridal shower, etc. We had 25 people and it fit wonderfully. There is also outside space for overflow, so it makes it very reasonable. Now onto the beer! I had the IPA Riverside, very hazy with a great flavor. Then I went off the rocker and ordered some prickly pear drink, I was not expecting how good that was! Refreshing and light, easy to drink (probably too easy) and the flavor was perfect! For lunch, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries, while my friend went with the Italian sandwich. Both plates were generously portioned, and neither of us left hungry. I asked how we were supposed to get into the outside area if we couldn't use the outdoor gate or come through the building and she looked at me like I had three heads. Maybe she was high? Didn't matter, the outdoor area was rough; Full sun, like two tables and weeds about waist high. We just left and hit some of the actual breweries around the west side. This place will be closed in 6 months for sure.

The apps were reasonable prices and filled us up. We enjoyed the drink specials as well. Not pictured are the chicken bites with curry ketchup. While the chicken itself wasn't super seasoned, it was crispy and the curry ketchup was delicious. After we ate our table played a board game and the server continued to check in on us. Overall a great experience!

I will cut some slack on the service, however - I arrives after what seems to have been a very atypical rush of Journey fans who inundated the place before heading to Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The staff seemed a bit rundown and slap happy - not really attentive to the bar where I sat. I waited a bit long before I was greeted with a menu, waited awhile with an empty glass, waited with my food pushed away before it was cleared. No one asked if everything was okay even though most of my food was untouched. The food... my salad (house greens) was a great little salad! I say this despite finding a hair on the plate when I was about 2/3 through. My mussels and fries were not great. The fries were mid - they tasted kind of overdone or as if the oil were old. The mussels were actively bad. The portion (an app) was pretty small. There was hardly any broth/wine and they weren't piping hot. Also, they were actually not tasty and the texture was rubbery. They remained in front of me, uncleared, even after I closed my tab. They did not smell good. I don't anticipate being sick but I do anticipate being hungry.

The bartenders are always helpful with sharing their current offerings. Metazoa is famously dog friendly, and 5% of profits go towards benefitting shelter dogs. They allow dogs inside the premises and have a dog park outside. The seating is a mix of high top and low tables with plenty of space for the whole crew. Ive been here for bingo nights and trivia, which are always a lot of fun. I hope my squad can make it down here again sometime before too long

One too many deep breaths in there, and I am down for the count for at least 2 days. So yes, I visited at my own risk, and I regret nothing. We popped in to grab a four-pack of beer for my nephew and ended up sampling a few while we were at it because that is just what you do. The woman who helped us was an absolute gem, so warm and friendly that I genuinely wished I could come back just to see her again (wealth of knowledge). If you go, I hope you get her. NO, I don't remember her name. From what I could take in between trying not to breathe too deeply, this place is wonderful. Tons of space for you and your four-legged best friend, food trucks outside, and a dog park to round it all out. If you are a pet lover without the whole allergy situation holding you back, this is your happy place. Go. Bring the dog. Have a beer. Live your best life.
