So fun!!! We rented a room for a birthday celebration and it was amazing! We didn't have to leave the room to get drinks we were able to flip a service light and our server brought them into the room for us. They have complimentary popcorn which is great too. We loved that they had a wide range of music options but also gave us the opportunity to search on YouTube if they didn't have it on their system. I highly recommend night kitty! read more

Attended a birthday party here, was such a great time! Our waitress made a serious effort to remember our names and what we ordered, she was great. I stayed until closing, the EmCee (?) of the front karaoke was phenomenal and put on a great show in between other people singing. Overall great experience and would def go back for a night out. read more

I came here as part of an event. I had the "Tiny Dancer" drink. I like coconut flavor and hence the coconut flavored Rum didn't disappoint. Next drink I tried was the "Country Road". The mix of Bourbon blackberry brandy and ginger ale was a good combination. They had some appetizers as part of the event. Tried their spring rolls. Their crab rangoons were good. The edamame was a healthy thing to munch when we were there. The bartender/manager gave a tour of all the rooms they had. They have VIP rooms for 20-25 people with bathrooms inside. So that would be a great place for a office party or if you have 25 friends who can all be there at the same time ;) There were smaller rooms for 4-6 people and mid sized rooms as well. I'm kind of surprised by the number of low reviews for this karaoke bar. We wanted a private room on a Saturday night and had so much fun! The drinks were tasty, albeit a little over-priced. I did order a vodka soda at one point that seemed like it was actually vodka water. Service was a little slow, but checked in frequently enough. The popcorn was a huge hit. I love this place don't get me wrong but now that you cant actually use the main stage to sing its no longer affordable 96 a for a room up to 6 people when you go alone or just with one other person versus spending the entire night ordering drinks over and over and the food isn't as affordable anymore especially as a college student where I'm working the only day the stage is open (2 days Friday and Saturday). Im hoping that this isn't permanent and that they do something different like a entrance fee? since the atmosphere when I'm there is always welcoming and incredibly fun. read more

We paid for the VIP Platinum room for the recommended amount of 20 people. The paid rooms have room service that comes to you for ordering of food and drinks. Upon entry, you are asked for your ID and security does bag checks (which is great!). This place felt pretty new because, well, it IS pretty new. Like, some of the service was a bit choppy and sloppy, but nothing that was offensive or a huge problem. We also didn't quite have enough seating in the room but nobody that worked there brought an extra tears until we were literally 2 minutes away from the end of our session. Again, that's not really a huge deal, but it did make me roll my eyes at the end of the night because it was one of those things that I didn't even know to ask for because I didn't know that it was a thing that could be offered. The private rooms have a system you run yourself that's pretty neat. They show you the things you need to know and you take it from there and go at your own pace. The only thing we couldn't figure out was the mic volume, but that wasn't really a problem once we got rolling. All of the tracks are ran through Karafun, and have options to raise or lower the lead and background vocals to any degree. It's worth noting that they serve food, but I couldn't find that listed anywhere in their marketing. I was very hopeful to bring a bite in after having a ridiculously long day and was informed outside food wasn't allowed. They only have like 5-6 menu items that are all snacky-type things. That was a pretty big inconvenience for me that I could've avoided altogether had that information been posted clearly on their website or socials. I ended up leaving my food at security for the two hours we were there and picking it up on my way out. As a heads up, it's $150/hour for this particular room for a minimum of two hours PLUS a service charge that amounts to $60 PLUS a tip if you choose to leave one. Food and drinks are paid on individual tabs and not included in the room fee. This information is kind of hard to find on their website when you're reserving the room. It's also worth noting that reserving the room with a card doesn't charge your card immediately. You don't pay for the room until you show up for your reservation. So if you need to use a different card than the one that you reserved under, they allow you to do that. I would definitely try it again! I was glad to try the private room to get an idea of how that operated and really think it has a lot of potential! read more

Im a bit soured on Night Kitty. I drove all the way to Lexington tuesday only to find theres no karaoke on tuesday. I live about 2 hours (near WV border) and me and my daughter was gonna sing some karaoke. She attends UK and apparently is coming out if her shell now only to find they dont have karaoke on Monday or Tuesday. I have went there before only to find they dont use youtube for karaoke. I make karaoke versions of my originals but they onky use the karafun karaoke engine. read more

Security is top notch Great atmosphere

1st time to go out in KY. The atmosphere is great in the main part of the bar. The decor is nice. I also liked the gentleman that greeted us at the entry. The drinks were nasty. IDK if they used cheap liquor or what, but the drinks were nasty. we also ordered nachos with queso cheese and the BLT nachos were nasty as well. The chips had no flavor and were dusty. the BLT nachos did not have enough toppings. it was enough for the top 5 chips and the rest were dry. No cheese on it or on the side was offered. The prices for the food and drink are not right. For the taste of the drinks, the price should be $3-$5. The nachos should be given away for free. Store-bought nachos taste waaayyy better. The popcorn tasted better than the nachos. The first bartender looked young. He wore round-rimmed glasses, hair moussed to the front. Very dry no personality stiff. The second bartender was a little loose and more personable he made the drinks better but I think the liquor was just cheap it was nasty too. The lady DJ was good and can sing great too! I love the variety of songs in her catalog. Oh almost forgot, don't leave your unfinished drinks on the table. The clean-up crew will "clean it right up" even if you only take a sip out of it.... let's not forget how they hoover around watching for the opportune time to do a quick snatch up and wipe down of your still-in-use table. read more

I was there yesterday, and the only good that came out of that night was how amazing the DJ was. He had the whole crowd going. I was confused a little. The manager of this establishment was dancing and singing more than the customers, I find that to be strange. A manager should put customers first, and not herself. She was also extremely rude. The food was really good. If the manager would step aside and let the customers sing, then it would not be a bad place. read more

I don't know if it's a server or not, but her name is Bree. She would constantly get in the way and on stage when people are singing. We waited almost an hour to sing a song because she was constantly going to the DJs forcing them to play her songs. We couldn't really enjoy ourselves because she was always in the way. My friends and I love this place. Well I should say loved. It is close to campus housing, and the first time we were there we felt like royalty. What made the place so awesome was the DJ! I am not sure of her name, but she is amazing! Her song list is off the hook! She made sure everyone got to sing in my group and that we had fun! Since we had such an awesome time, we decided to make it our home bar, but quickly changed our minds. When we went back, there was no DJ. There was a guy who sat there on his phone, and when we requested songs, he didn't speak English. We thought maybe this was just a one day thing, but no. We came back on Thursday and same. They need to bring the girl DJ back or someone who actually cares about their job. We came in again this last Saturday and she was there, she made our night again. The place would of been amazing for us for the weekdays, to come and relax after school work, but no thanks. Also, the bartender is amazing, his drinks are great. The place overall is really cool, has a cool set up, but we want to sing, and that's not possible without someone there. Other than that, kick ass place. read more
