By far, one of the worst concert venues I've been to anywhere. The sound is reprehensible and the crew so beaten down by trying to make this disaster work that they are rude, gruff and dismissive to the touring artists coming through town who just want to put on a good show. There is no sound treatment to the room at all and the floor is so hard that it hurts to stand there. Between the din and the discomfort, this venue is a violent onslaught on the senses. This place is so bad that they are a blight on the music scene of central Kentucky. Just a complete and total disaster. read more

I've seen 2 shows here and they were pretty good. The venue is a little pricier than The Burl, Al's bar, Green Lantern, etc. but nothing crazy like Rupp Arena. About $30. It's a bigger space than cheaper ones for sure, to hold more people. The drinks were good, bartender good service. The last show they had a food truck outside so got food. Manchester Music Hall itself does not serve food. But yeah I liked the bands at both shows and bought merch shirt from one of the bands. read more

The candlelight concrete was not good. Left after 30 minutes. paid $96.00 for two people. Same music over and over. The place was unorganized. No seating assignment. It was not clear where you have to seat. they also charge $30.00 for 24 hour parking even though you are there only for 1 hour or two. It is a rip off. Do not recommend the place. read more

I've been to this venue for several shows and events, including Loud Luxury, 311, Wintersong, California Honeydrops, and an Eagles Tribute Band, and I've always had a great time. It's easy to get to, with plenty of parking options nearby (I recommend just scootering or ride sharing if you can), and they have multiple bars with fairly priced drinks. Tickets are never outrageously priced, which is a big plus. The venue itself is temperature controlled and comfortable, with a raised stage that gives good visibility no matter where you stand. If you're someone who likes to be up close and personal with the band/artist this is the spot for you. The only thing holding back a perfect rating is the acoustics, which are just okay in some spots. But the closer you get to the stage, the better the sound becomes. Video from the California Honeydrops show is living proof of that--it was easily the best show I've ever seen! Overall, it's a solid venue that delivers great experiences at an affordable price. Definitely worth checking out if one of your favorite bands is playing! read more

We came here for an Adam Doleac concert and had a great time. Tickets were somehow only $7.50 a piece but I'm not sure how much tickets for other artists are. Parking was around $15, two drinks was $15, so overall not too expensive for a date night. The bathrooms were meh, my door was broken so I had to hold it shut so that's the only reason for a star deduction. And it's super close to goodfellas and crank and boom for some post concert food. read more

I've been to Manchester quite a few times and have had a consistent experience every time. First the good...drink selection is top notch for a small music venue. They have all the liquor you'd expect but the beer selection is quality. Always a good mix of domestics, craft, and local beers. They bring in a good variety of National acts. From rock to bluegrass and just about everything in between. The ticket prices are always affordable, even for the bigger names. There are some needs for improvement though. If you are an audiophile, you may not be happy. The sound is good enough for me to have a good time but it's not perfect. Also, be aware that some acts have a VIP area. That area takes up the entire front half of the venue with seats so if you like to stand as close to the stage as possible you will be disappointed. Even if you buy VIP seating I rarely see people stand in that area so stand at your own risk. read more

The women's bathroom is atrocious. Half the stall doors don't have functioning locks or even locks at all and the one that did lock had shifted downward overtime so you could literally be pulling up your pants and making eye contact with anyone as they came in. And I'm only "5'6" I couldn't imagine being taller or in heels. read more

I've been to Manchester for several shows. Always a great line-up of top notch performers. Last night I saw Grammy Award winners The Steep Canyon Rangers with ticketed seats. You pay more for a seat vs general admission, but it's worth it especially for serious listeners. Manchester does a great job ensuring parking is ample and organized (be prepared to pay a parking fee) and keeping patrons safe by checking ID's, purses etc. Every event I have attended has had a food truck available so its ok if you arrive hungry. If there is a chatty crowd the noise level can interfere with the sound. Having a ticked seat helps ensure a quality listening experience. read more

This was a pretty nice venue. Big enough to not feel crammed in, but small enough to still feel intimate. It was clean, and the layout made sense. There was no line for the women's bathroom which is always a pleasant surprise. I would travel back to Lexington to see a show here. I came here for a concert. The band was good and the space to see watch the band was great. I really didn't feel like there was a bad view in the place, but it was not overly crowded. I am not sure if they have a cap on how many people can come in, but many more people and it would have been over crowded. The inside was very neat. Rustic looking and a great open concept. Upstairs had some seating for VIPs. The bartenders were good and helpful if you could get their attention. I was not crazy about the staff working. I appreciate a staff that is helpful and nice, as we are the paying consumer. They were rude on multiple occasions. As we were waiting for our ride they told us to move out of the parking lot, however if we moved then we were in front of the line for the food truck. Our ride was only a minute away. Instead of asking us nicely they proceeded to yell at us that we were in the way and asked if we "blind." Incredibly rude. They also patrolled the floor during the concert, which was fine, but would push you out of their path if you were in their way, spilling your drink. As mentioned before their parking is awful so take an uber! I think the manchester music hall could be a great venue, I would just work on overall customer service. read more

I went there to pick up my son and his wife I pulled in parking lot and sat there inside my vehicle for about 20 minutes waiting it was dark I didn't see signs about parking but I eventually received a parking tick in the mail for over $80 this is a racket they have going to screw people out of money how can they say $10 to park but then send one in mail for $80 I'm sure they do a lot of people like this I'll never go there again nor will my family members and I called them they are unfriendly and lied to me said parking lot belongs to the city it does not it is their own lot. read more

I really love this venue. It is standing room only really but it's an intimate setting with bands. I love the variety of music genres they get in there. There is something everyone could find an event they could love to go to. They have a food truck outside typically. I love Manchester Music Hall! I've been to a few shows, mimosa fest, and, prom with Sundy Best. I even got to see Billy Strings play there in 2020 and it was an unbelievably awesome show! I loved this venue. There is a bar in the same room as the stage, but also one in the other room which made for really quick service. The amount of beers on tap was awesome and quite frankly I'm not used to that at a lot of music venues. There were plenty of stalls available in the updated women's restroom. The music sounded great and there was plenty of space for everyone to stand. The guy working parking was a bit of a douche, but overall this is a great venue. read more

This is definitely a college hangout. I was expecting a little more intimate experience where I could actually hear and see the band. All I heard and saw were drunk college kids getting drunker by the minute. I won't be back. The acoustics were horrible and the person running the sound board must have hearing loss in the lower range because the bass was cranked up so loud it was the only part of the songs you could hear. I've been here twice. Jackal and Puddle of Mudd. Fantastic place! Seeing artists in this type of atmosphere is way better than at a stadium.

A great venue for live music! The security team does a good job keeping everyone safe. Drinks are pricey but ticket prices are inexpensive.

I went here with my friend and do not go here if you have light sensitive seizures, besides for my friend I seen one more person having to cover their eyes from the strobing lights, talked to security about it and he was very rude. People should be able to go to a show and not worry about having seizures from lights. Make concerts safe for everyone. Also should have posters on doors warning about the strobe lights. read more

Great spot for a venue, but not enough parking. I attended a party/event here a few weeks ago. There was plenty of room for the number of people there. There was a bar in side the room as soon as you entered. They had added tents out the door to the right for overflow and karaoke singing. There is another bar along the back side of the front bar with a bird perch area uptop. There is a stage up front where the DJ was stationed. Then there was a huge dance floor open for dancing. The sound in place was perfect. The DJ didn't over power the karaoke and vice versa. The bartenders were fast and friendly. They even helped the people that didn't know what they wanted to drink. The wait staff kept the tables clear of trash and cups. It was very well put together. The only thing I disliked about the entire event was lack of parking and having to pay $10 to park down the road in a shady parking lot with very small spaces. They have an ATM inside the front bar and they had set up a photo booth thing with props as well. read more

I went here for the Stache Bash. It was a Friday night and I arrived at about 6:30. The event itself was fun, with several cool booths to peruse. There was also a photobooth and Red State BBQ along with Gastro Gnomes for food outside. Overall it was pretty fun and I'm glad that I got to attend. The event would get 4 stars. The problems though are with Manchester Music Hall. They are seemingly the same problems that people had with Busters previously and they haven't gone away. Firstly, parking is a nightmare. Their lot was completely full and I ended up in a field across the street where some hastily assembled floodlights shone overhead. I got to pay $5 for the privilege for some reason. This event had a nice crowd, but if they had to accommodate even a mid-sized musical act I have no idea where people would put their cars. I guess it's a good thing for Uber. To be fair, this isn't really their fault, but it is something that needs a solution. When I went to get a drink inside, the bartender just looked at me and shrugged when I asked what beers they had on tap. Then she gestured toward the taps halfheartedly. I asked what Blue Stallion they had on tap, as I saw the knob but nothing saying what it was. She had absolutely no idea. It ended up being the Dunkel, which was tasteless and flat. I've had it a million times and I wouldn't even know that this was it. The real kicker is that it was $6.50. For a flat beer in a small plastic cup this was definitely not worth the price. Needless to say that was all I had to drink. I will say that the place looks nice and I like what they have done remodeling. The barrel-like walls are a nice touch. I just wish it reflected changes in everything else. read more

I have been to 2 different events here and the space is very nice. The first event was a wedding reception and the second was the 301 market. Both times the bar has been open and they have a good selection of beer and liquor. The only downside is that when there are big events the parking can sometimes be tricky. read more

I attended the grand opening and wow, what a physical transformation. Parking was a little difficult but that's par for the course downtown. The staff was friendly, there were plenty of folks on hand. My problem didn't arise until the next day when I noticed some unauthorized charges on my card. I immediately contacted the club, was told Adam, the managing partner, would contact me within 24 hrs. Never happened. 10 days later still no contact. I finally disputed the charge with my bank. This place is great for several reasons. Very spacious and high stage so you can always see the performers from every spot in there. The bathroom has numerous stalls so you will rarely wait. The bartenders are professional, competent, and attentive. I've attended several shows and weddings here. Would be a great venue for private party and there is even a "VIP" area upstairs that makes for the perfect people-watching spot. Parking isn't too much of an issue. read more

Decent Joint for a more intimate, up close concert of a fav band or just an impromptu outing. Capacity for what, 350 or so folks? The sound was above average for the shows we went to. Blue October and then Cracker on successive nights. Two of our fav live bands. Don't expect to be waited on, you'll be standing 3 deep at the bar for drinks. The floor felt sticky from last nights revelry, with a little stale beer nuance to the atmosphere. Maybe they just need to do a better rinse, maybe hire some x Navy guys who know how to run a mop, there is a method to it ya know? But you get the idea. I give it a 3 for overall cleanliness (not), but I got a strong immune system so, what the hey? Like a previous reviewer said, it's ok , just know what your in for. I'd give it a 4 for the sound and ability to get close up to the band, and have a couple drinks and don't worry about nuthin'. They bring in national quality acts, so you're gonna see a good show. Previous reviews show the inconsistent experiences of some, so I would point to ownership/management to up their game a level. read more

The owner, Adam Hatton, was extremely nasty and yelled at me for contacting them about the confusion surrounding my tickets to an event. It was an easily resolved issue, but it took 5 hour's off adjusting back and forth to figure it out. They never answer their phone and finding their email is almost impossible. Venue itself was trashy with sticky floors, poor lighting and a dumpy stage. Not to mention the sound was lacking and the bathroom needs updating. read more

This venue only cares about selling you alcohol. SUPER limited seating. Limited parking. The venue often says the doors and music starts at 7. What that really means is unless you want to stand like a chump and buy drinks for an hour then the music will probably begin around 8 or after (at some point). There will be extended times between sets depending on the artist you're coming to see, and that's by design, so you'll get bored and buy more alcohol. When there's 30-60 minutes between sets, don't complain, they give zero cares. They however do NOT want the crowd to get upset, It's not allowed, so if you shout "lets go!" while they're wasting your time (hoping you'll buy more alcohol), their guys will come over, square up to you and threaten to kick you out. Not refunds either. On the seating, they basically have no seating unless you want to sit on the floor, there's one bench over on the far right wall that might sit 30 people max. Standing room only at this venue. Venue typically has decent lights and good sound so that's a plus, just know exactly what you're buying. read more

I've been to a lot of music venues because I follow a lot of indy/alternative/americana country music acts and this one is by far the worst I've been to. There is no air conditioning, they sold more tickets than the tiny(glorified barn) place could hold. Standing room only would have been an improvement to their situation tonight. I work at a music venue in Louisville so I know a little about the industry. The sound guy was also terrible!!!! They didn't even notice that there was no sound from Cody's lead guitarist until the 3rd or 4th song. I feel like I got jipped. 40 bucks for a ticket for this kinda stuff bothers me. I can say with confidence that I'll never EVER be back. I'd ask for a refund but I figure they need the money worse than I do if they don't even have a/c. read more
