    Capicola, provolone, & pickle

We found this place by pure luck and proximity. On our way to the royal gorge, we needed to stop and charge our rental. When pulling into the plaza and finding a spot to charge our rental - I saw a crowd and lines of people forming outside. I looked its up on yelp and saw bread.. so I went to explore and got in line (just in case). as I stood in line, I heard people raving about how good their bread and sandwiches were. I wasn't quite sure what to order, but knew I was staying in line. Once i got to the front, the cashier walked me through options and popular items. They just finished making some fresh cold sandwiches, so i went with that. Capicola, provolone, and pickle - out of this world! and i HATE pickles, but you would never know it seeing me go bite for bite on this sando. Jambon Beurre - reminded me of Paris. All i was missing was a bottle of wine and maybe some arugula. Molasses spice cookie - everyone before me got one.. so I had to try it. overall, it was a great experience! weeks later and we are still talking about their sandwiches. I would definately suggest stopping in if your in the area or passing through

I don't just hand out 5 star reviews but this is an easy one. The line was long when we were there but it was so worth the wait (not to mention that we wouldn't have known this was the place to go had the line not been around the whole building). The ham and butter sandwich was incredible, the morning role was epic, and the Italian sandwich was delicious. Simple, fresh, homemade food that tastes wonderful. This is a must if you're in th Colorado springs area!

This is the only bakery in Colorado Springs that makes premium French bread (baguettes). They now cost $5 a piece but so worth it. First price increase since 2017.

    Red bread and butter!

The bread here is awesome. Dislike the wait at times but honestly it's worth it. We had a naturopathic doctor recommend the red as it's easier for digestion. Awesome with chilli, soups, and sauce! Have tried the fruit bread to. That is also amazing toasted and smeared with good butter!!

This is the best bakery in Colorado Springs! Be sure to try their French baguettes. On Saturdays you can get seeded baguettes which are excellent! They have plenty of other wonderful items, even hoagie sandwiches. There's always a line, but it's worth waiting.

    Pain au chocolate.

My new favorite breakfast, brunch and bread spot in town. Nightingale Bread does a fantastic job with the quality of their products. Take your pick of classic pastries such as the traditional pain au chocolate or stock up on a loaf of bread for the week. Whatever your choice, it won't disappoint. I am also a fan of their location. Nightingale sits with other restaurants and businesses in the bones of what I believe was an old elementary school. An innovative way to bring life back into a place! Seating is primarily outside, patio style, but you can also find seating inside the old school building hallways between the other businesses. You can find easy parking in their free parking lot. A big win in my mind.

Possibly the best bread in the world, right here in Colorado Springs. Also have incredible croissants.

Incredible every time. If you provide good bread, the people will come- and that's exactly what Nightingale is doing.

The best bakery in Colorado Springs, CO!…read more We were looking for a great bakery for fresh bread, birthday cakes, pastries, and all kinds of baked goodies -- and we found it! The éclairs are a bit small, but they're incredibly fresh and delicious. The white loaf ($5.25) has a wonderful, fresh wheat aroma and contains no additives. The Boston Cream birthday cake features a rich, firm chocolate topping with a moist, cheesecake-like filling inside. This has become our family's favorite place to order birthday cakes. Highly recommended!

There is plenty of seating in the dining area. They have a nice coffee selection. I opted for the Dutch Bullet Coffee. I also purchased an apple muffin, a coffee cake with walnuts and a cinnamon roll for a friend. They also have a small pantry area to purchase various Dutch bakery and other sweets. They sell plenty of Dutch pancake mixes too. Their bakery items in display cases are impressive. Plenty to choose from. They also offer various fresh baked breads. Prices are reasonable too. Staff is very friendly. I liked the female staff member who waited on me. Apple muffin was fantastic. It was moist and had small chunks of apple inside. Their coffee cake is one of the best I ever had. Overall, I was impressed. I would definitely consider returning here again.
