We started with breakfast quesadillas, and I am not exaggerating when I say mine was globally my favorite quesadilla EVER. Absolutely delicious. A couple of breakfast burritos accidentally made their way to our table, and although they weren't ours, they looked so incredible that I absolutely would have eaten those too. Then came the coffee. We tried the honey lavender latte both hot and iced, and both were 10/10. We also had banana bread for dessert and grabbed a few pastries to bring home. Everything we tried was fantastic. The Coffee Cottage itself is tiny in the absolute best way. It feels like a little mountain hideaway, and if you happen to be sneaking away on a secret date into the mountains, I'm fairly certain this is exactly where you're supposed to end up. Sit outside if you can. The views are stellar: mountains in the distance, aspens around you, and the little town of Divide below. At 9,000+ feet, coffee and breakfast somehow taste even better. We headed farther into the mountains afterward, but I could have happily stayed right there all morning. The entire experience was one I hope to have again very soon. Coffee Cottage, you were an unexpected little 10/10.

It's a joy to support their business! I've been multiple time and the pastries are delicious. Also, massive! I'm always able to split one or have leftovers. The prices are great for what you get. One word of advice, you HAVE to go in with a plan. If you order an espresso drink, be certain you are prepared for a long wait (30+ min, it is not quick). If you want to have a quicker visit or don't plan for long, just grab some pastries or drip coffee. Adding a prepared drink will extend your wait exponentially. It's a popular spot, so just be aware of that if you're hoping for seating. It fills up quick and is usually packed. I have to prepare myself for encountering a crowd when I go here. The demand for delicious pastries is high! Glad to have this spot in Colorado Springs.

Visiting Colorado Springs and I was excited to try La Concha Bakery but I left disappointed…read more I ordered a concha, and while it was definitely large as you can see, the size didn't make up for the quality. A good concha should be soft, slightly fluffy and have that fresh-baked aroma. This was oversized, dry and it felt like I got more bread than flavor. For someone who grew up with Mexican pan dulce, there's that hard-to-describe "authentic" quality--it's not just sweetness, it's the texture, the crumb and the balance between the bread and the topping. I know everyone has different tastes, but for me, the concha ended up being more about quantity than quality The bakery itself was nice, the staff was really friendly but unfortunately the pastry just didn't live up to it.
