Warm, happy to have us there, easy to talk to. I mentioned to my friend that I was thinking about a bloody mary, and a minute or two later Ryan asked if he should get that bloody started. He'd caught it in passing conversation, not because he was hovering. That's a hard balance to strike and he nailed it all afternoon. The drinks were great. Nothing fancy on my end, a bloody mary, a shaken screwdriver. Not too strong or weak. Sounds simple, but a lot of bartenders can't consistently hit it! We all got eggs your way, simple stuff done well. The roasted fingerling potatoes were crispy outside, fluffy inside, super good!! The strawberry jam was giving homemade, but I didn't confirm. Overall, Ryan made the visit. Calm presence, good company, and there's nothing better than a brunch seat at his bar next to those big open windows!

This was just for lunch, but started out sharing the crab croquettes. Fluffy and lightly fried with a perfect mayo-based dipping sauce. A great start. I had the Koji fried chicken sandwich that was very good and we shared a spectacular gooey butter cake with a dollop of vanilla ice cream for a shared dessert. The stand-outs were the crab croquettes and the gooey butter cake. Both were incredibly good. Would definitely return and try some of the more entree-ish looking things for dinner. You should definitely give this place a try. Ciao, David

Great Rooftop Lounge for Date Night and Socializing…read more I visited 54thirty Rooftop Lounge for a date night and had a great experience. When we arrived, most of the covered seating and heater areas were already taken, so we ended up sitting in one of the uncovered sections. As it turned out, that was a blessing because the views were amazing. From where we were seated, we had beautiful views of downtown Denver and the surrounding cityscape. Between the skyline, lights, and rooftop atmosphere, it created a memorable evening. What impressed me most was the ambiance. The lounge had a lively but relaxed energy, and people were friendly and approachable. It felt like the kind of place where you could enjoy a date, meet new people, network, or simply unwind with friends over drinks and conversation. My date ordered food, but I honestly don't remember everything he had. I wasn't particularly impressed with the food, but since this is a rooftop lounge, the atmosphere was really the star of the show for me. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and would return for the views, the social atmosphere, the drinks, and the opportunity to meet interesting people. Perfect for: Date nights, networking, socializing, drinks with friends, and enjoying Denver's skyline.

I asked for extra artichokes and asparagus; the amount actually in the bowl was so small that if I received "extra", the standard amount must have been zero. I was charged for extra on both veggies, but did NOT get them. The noodles in the Ramen were severely overcooked and sat in the bowl as a giant wad of mush! Garlic was burnt. Both bowls were swimming in oil--those noodles were definitely sliders! The Chicken Artichoke/Asparagus Rigatoni was disappointing, but the Ramen was downright disgusting! Starchy mush swimming in oil. Yum! (NOT). 27 dollars down the drain for "food", some of which (the Ramen) was inedible. Complained to Noodles & Co. corporate, but have not heard back. Ambiance, as usual, was noisy and loud with garish lighting. Service was OK, but the card machine had some serious balls asking for a 25% tip for that so-called "food". I don't tip unless my order is taken at my table and the food is served at my table. People taking your order at the counter, ringing you up and then handing you a bag are NOT servers, they are counterstaff and are being paid much more than traditional servers. Seems like everyone has their hands out for tips these days, even at the UPS Store! People need to rethink what tipping is and why it exists, and who merits it and who does not.

It really gave me RVA (Richmond, VA circa early 2000s) nostalgia vibes like for places I worked in around Broadway during college! Wow. Love everything about this place. I'd been going to a lot of coffee shops lately where the style is all like new stuff and new style (which I LOVE) but the style of Tessa Delicatessen was so unexpectedly refreshing. I didn't realize that this part of Colfax was Park Hill! I saw a lot of other interesting places nearby. Can't wait to go back and wander! Not sure if it was the owner that greeted me at the register but she was very friendly and warm. I love the self serve coffee and water and you get to pick a unique mug to drink from. Really strong neighborhood vibe and I think she said it had been open since 2017. So cool! I'm obsessed with the spaciousness and space! My breakfast sandwich did explode all over my hand - so be careful! The egg is soft inside! I got coffee, cheesy hash and the breakfast sandwich. $25 for everything including tip. I think that's a great deal for a lovely morning vibe and breakfast in 2026!

We started with their traditional black eyed pea soup because good luck traditions matter. Shortly after, I "found" three dollars in my coat pocket. Was it already my change from the store? Yes. Did I still credit the soup? Also yes. From there, we leaned fully into deli mode. The cheeseburger was solid and satisfying, the Reuben hit all the right notes, and the macaroni salad was exactly what you want it to be. No frills, just done right. Dessert sealed the deal. The cheesecake was rich without being heavy, and the carrot cake was genuinely excellent. Tessa feels like one of those neighborhood spots you can come back to again and again. Comforting, straightforward, and very good at what they do. Fortune and prosperity aside, this place is worth a visit on its own.
