My friend and I decide to try out a ghost tour while we were in Denver last year and I am so happy we ended up going with Nightly Spirits! We booked the two and a half hour Ghost Tour and Pub Crawl in the LoDo Neighborhood. This not only meant we got to check out some of the cooler bars in the area, but got to hear their history and hear some pretty spooky stories. We stopped at 5 bars/pubs along with a couple stops on the street in between. The guide was very passionate about the history and stories he was telling. He even dressed up in old-timey clothes to set the mood. If we ever go back to Denver, we definitely plan on booking a different tour through Nightly Spirits! read more

We took off on a 70 minute or so tour of some supposedly haunted establishments in a one mile area of downtown Denver. The guide was named Hailey and she was nice enough, but soon it became apparent that there was too much talking on this tour and not enough action. Every ghost or haunting was connected to the brothel industry or a bar and nothing new has been hsunted over the years. The only truly interesting story was of a photo hanging at the Celtic ( where you spend your first 20 minutes). Nothing can be verified though and these stories all seem to handed down via mouth, rather than paper. Another problem was the tour started in one place, but ended in Union Station and if your visiting for the first time like me, she doesn't tell you how to get back to your car. Hailey is clearly underpaid counting on a $10 bonus from the cheap owners of this national company. The tour starts out boring and never recovers. Also, there are some shameful plugs for restaurants that they want you to eat at after you finish. Secretly paid sponsors. read more

I was searching for things to do while we were on our beerymoon in Denver and lo and behold, I stumbled across this gem! We knew we were in for a treat when we were greeted by the tour guide and she was dressed in character of a saloon type girl. She took us to 4-5 locations and told us of hauntings and happenings that occurred at each. We had time for a drink or two at each stop before being whisked away to the next bar. We got to go to the Oxford Hotel which is normally not on the tour so that was awesome! If you're looking for something semi spooky, fun and boozy to do, hop on one of these tours! read more

Great Tour! Jess was knowledgeable about the area and knew how to "feed" us history and rumors in a way that was engaging and notable. The food along the tour was excellent as well. The pretzel at the first stop was crisp and Amber Brown on the outside; tender and hot on the inside with a chew that can only be described as Beautiful. The next stop offered Shepard's pie actually made with Lamb that was rich and hearty in it's simplicity. The Poutine was equally and even better, they had a Gluten Free option too! The Green Chile Stew was spicy and thick! Similar to Pozole with juicy chunks of pork and sprinkles with Cheddar Cheese. The last stop for dessert offered a perfect Chocolate Lava Cake! We had a large group of at least 10 people and he did a great job keeping everyone together and engaged. So we basically ended up having a private tour because we were the only couple that booked (probably bc of weather) and I will honestly say.. WE HAD A BLAST! This was a fun experience and a great way for me to end my trip to Denver. We made our rounds to 5 different bars that night where our tour guide told us spooky stories about each one. There was nothing creepy that actually happened on the tour and we were always in public spaces with lots of people around, but some of the stories told did raise the hairs on the back of my neck, as I'm one of the people that actually believe in the supernatural. Even if you're not a ghost believer, I would recommend doing this tour just to explore the city, and to visit a new bar, as I'm sure there will be at least one that you haven't been to before. The only thing I can complain about is the timing at each bar - we felt pretty rushed, as we only had 10 minutes or so to get our drinks at each place and then we felt like we had to chug them because we weren't allowed to take them with us as we walked to the next spot. Plus, there wasn't a special section for us to order our drinks, we had to wait in line with the rest of the crowds, and sometimes that could take a while. read more

Visiting Denver just for the weekend we bought a Groupon to go on the haunted tour.....great idea! This tour was super informative about the history of Denver, which was a plus, but it was the ghost stories that drew me in. We just did this tour with guide Kendrick. He was great! Aside from the corny jokes (which must be a requirement in all tours everywhere), he was very entertaining and informative. We're still pretty new to Denver and enjoyed learning some about the history of downtown (the seedy bits are extra fun!). I'm not much of a bar-hopper and that aspect was my least favorite part of the tour. It took a long time to get our drinks at the first two bars and the third one (at the Oxford Hotel) was so tiny we didn't even try to order. After the last stop at Union Station we opted for ice cream at the Milkbox instead of heading into another bar (yum!). My only suggestion for the tour guides is have more scary stories. My favorite parts were when Kendrick told spooky ghost stories about the places where we were actually standing. I wished that I could've gone back to some of those locations after-hours and done some ghost hunting myself. =) read more

Great experience! I went with a friend and did the Friday night pub crawl tour. We went to 4 different bars and a couple of stops outside as well. Erica was our tour guide and she did a fantastic job of showing us the best paranormal spots in Denver! She offered to take pictures and would stop by to chat when the group would take a quick break from ghost hunting to have a cocktail. The entire group was very happy to be there and easy to talk to. I'd highly recommend this tour whether visiting from out of town or if you're local to Denver. Remember to drink water while on the tour especially if you're from out of town!! My wife and I enjoy traveling and participating in Ghost Tours when available. Our host was very passionate and you can tell that he absolutely loved the city, the history, and the stories. Unfortunately, the stories were at times hard to follow and slightly discombobulated. A good amount of time was spent discussing the hope of having a great night vs. just having a great night. The bars that we attended were nice and interesting. All had fantastic themes. The drinks were appropriately priced. The price of the tour itself was relatively cheap in comparison to others. I would do it again and would consider doing it during better weather. This ghost tour pretty much falls right in the middle. Far from the worst and also far from the best we've been on. A 5 star ghost tour for me leaves you wanting to know more, leaves you looking into the stories, and makes you hope and pray that a spirit didn't follow you home. Was visiting Denver with a friend and we decided to go on the afternoon ghost-food tour. We had a private tour with Kendrick because no one else had signed up for that day/time. We started at Rose and Thorn and the food was absolutely amazing and Kendrick was even more amazing at telling us the history of Denver and spooky ghost stories of the restaurant. Our next stop was Brass Tacks, again awesome food and stories. From there we moved on to The Celtic Tavern, we went down to the 'reading room' to have tradition shepherds pie. Our last stop was Corridor 44 in Logan's Square for hot chocolate lava cake and our last of ghost stories. Kendrick was an awesome tour guide and his story telling is animated and super fun and spooky. Our Tour guide Cody was fantastic! He was really friendly, and did a great job at speaking loud and clear so we could hear him perfectly. We went on a private tour with a group of 10 of us and we all had a blast. Cody is very knowledgeable of Denver's haunted history and is a great story teller. The tour guide was friendly, but the stories fell flat. There was some overlap in another tour group and we heard the next guide following the exact same script but applying it to another building. As fas as touring "the tunnels" we were led into the basement of Blake Street Vault to see two tunnels that have been blocked off. The next bar, the Celtic, has a nice ambience, but has been completely remodeled and updated. The stories told there were not about that particular building, but the old Celtic. We threw in the towel at the Double Daughter. The place reeked of vomit and the stories coincidently matches the decor of the place. My advice is to keep your $25 for a bar tab, take a few friends and bar hop downtown and share your own ghost stories. It will probably be more entertaining and you don't end the night feeling like you just got cheated out of $25 bucks. read more
