This massive Nike flagship store had five floors of amazing products. In the floor, they had World Cup team gears and personalization station that had really long lines. The lower floor had kids apparel, shoes and accessories. Second floor had women products including Nike Skims. Fourth floor was all sports goods like golf, NFL and few others. Fifth floor had lots of Jordan products. Throughout the store they had incredible designs and displays of Nike products, was so pleasing to explore. Many of the latest design apparels and shoes were available on display for us to check in-person. There were fitting rooms and checkout counters available on each floor. Plenty of staff members were available on each floor helping customers with products and checkouts. We took the time to walk around each floor. We found few items that we really like. We picked a Brazilian soccer team's shorts, Nigerian team's neon t-shirt and a kid's t-shirt. All of them had the same full price as Nike website. But Nike website had a 20% discount that wasn't available at the store. So, I ordered them thru Nike app instead of buying them at the store. I had such great time, I'll definitely stop by this store whenever I am near 5th Avenue. read more

This is a gigantic store with a bathroom on one of the upper floors for customers to use. I love that they allowed for medal engraving during the post NYC marathon week and handing out the seltzer water, it does get pretty busy though even when the line first opens so please allott time for it. It can quickly becomes a 1.5 hr wait. They loop the same hype song during the whole time you wait... There are apparels, accessories, everything you can think of here and everything seems somewhat pricey but it could be due to the proximity to Times Square. I think if you're a true fan of Nike, this is a unique store that you should visit since it literally has such a variety of products, with many that are newly released. It does get quite busy but they staff it well too! read more

The store is huge ; 3-4 floors each specializing with a different department. The space is modern, esthetically pleasing and clean and there's plenty merchandise to suit your taste and price point. Floors are well staffed with workers to assist you as you go. However the customer experience with my transaction was lacking. Found a dope pair of Jordan 1's on the app and wanted to get them right away to take with me to Philly for Roots Picnic. Checked with the store and they confirmed they had them. Jumped on the LIRR and went to the store. Upon arrival I am notified that in order to get the price from the app, I had to place an order via the app and pick up in store. Ok, I was mildly frustrated at that point. Here's where things got worse. Once the order is placed via the app, there is a mandatory 2-3 wait before you're allowed to leave with the item- even though they would pull it in less than 5 mins for the person making an in store purchase. This is the silliest idea ever! A sale is a sale. Serve the customer. Honor the customer and price match to the app. They refused! Personally, this type of experience shows me that we don't share common values and I shouldn't be doing business with them. read more

This is a super fun Nike store! They have a basketball skills testing room that is one of the coolest things I've seen in a store! It's tests shooting, passing, and blocking with a real hoop, passing targets, and a huge interactive screen. If I were a kid, I would want to spend at least an hour playing this game! Since I'm an adult, I explored the rest of the store instead. It's huge! The selection is great for men, women, and children for almost every sport and athletic endeavor. Service was great. online pickup: 5 stars getting a pair of sneakers from the 4th or 5th floor: ZERO stars finally returned to the Nike Running Industrial Complex and have purchased several pairs of Nike short to mid-distance running sneakers which has worked out pretty well for me from a comfort and run recovery standpoint. anyway enough about me--stopped here relatively recently to pickup an online order. it was super easy--show your id and order confirmation from the Nike app...hardly a wait even if there is a line. the online pickup is below street level and the Nike reps are super friendly and professional. since I was in midtown, i decided to explore the rest of the store. the store, itself, is about Nike's commitment to a modern visual aesthetic. each floor is absolutely gigantic (for NYC) and is not crowded with merchandise--quite the opposite actually where Nike is more about creating a vibe for each floor that represents the tone and energy of whatever merchandise on each floor. the floors are maintained immaculately and very clean-to-the-eye design without it feeling empty or shallow. the problem i have with this store? the fourth or fifth floor where the majority of sneakers from running to Jordans etc. are on display and where you can try them on and pay. there's a lot of seating bc you need to try the sneakers on and because this is the highest foot traffic area (tourists + New Yorkers trying to try on sneakers and purchase). i came up to try on on some other Nike running sneakers bc i was curious about the fit and heel slippage on a couple of newer sneakers (PRO TIP: always try on Nikes as sizing, width, and actual fit can vary from running shoe to running shoe). anyway, the way this area/floor works is you flag down an employee--give them your size, the color, which sneaker, etc. and then they send a person to get your sneakers and bring them to you. simple, right? nope, because from the time I was there the employees were more interested in goofing around and chatting amongst themselves than getting sneakers. it literally took 20-25 minutes per customer (including myself) to just get a pair of sneakers. it was busy, but not that busy. and the Nike employees seemed less concerned with getting the sneakers and more concerned with just fucking around and...on top on that the Nike employees fetching the sneakers kept bring wrong sizes to people (like me). also the employees aren't well-versed in running sneakers or running, itself, even though a fair share of the sneakers on the floor are running shoes... now, i get it...a Nike workplace sb fun but at the end of the day...it's about selling the sneakers, etc. to the customer and having them have a good parting feeling about their purchase. this was far from the experience i and other customers had that day and Nike just depends on their outsized sneaker brand in America to not really concern itself with what consumers think bc they are Nike and can basically tell you to kick rocks and buy sneakers elsewhere. it's weird that one part of the store is run really well (online pickup) and the area that is dedicated to selling sneakers is run like a shit show. maybe they were having an off day, but I doubt it. unsurprisingly, i did not purchase sneakers that day other than my online pickup. i did end up buying the pair i tried on online and scheduled a pickup at their SoHo store which went super smoothly. anyway, if there is any recommendation i would make it's come to this store for online pickups only or if you're just looking at apparel. bypass the floor with all the sneakers ands try on Nikes at another location. my other tip is to become Nike Member--it's free and you get several benefits like free shipping, receipt-less returns, etc. while people bemoan AI and robots taking human jobs, shitty sales / customer experiences could be cured simply by AI and a robot especially when the sales experience is just fetching a specific shoe at a specific size... I accompanied a friend here. It was my first time at this location, as their former flagship store on 57th is now closed. The l employees were very friendly here at every level. Upon arrival, you will see a line outside the store; however, the line moves relatively quickly. You will then have to stop again depending on which floor you are going to. As we were going to the fifth floor, we had to stop at each level, but as I previously mentioned, it will not be a long wait. While I was here I decided to pick up a pair of Air Force 1 (a must for the summer). Process was simple, the staff here was great and I'd gladly return here in the future. read more

I visited this store during a day in the city. There are lots of pros which include 3 floors of merchandise - 1 for women's clothing, 1 for mens and 1 for sneakers. They also have sneakers sprinkled throughout each floor. There were lots of attentive service people and enough fitting rooms for busy shoppers. I say this store gets three stars because it's good if you're looking for clothes like sweatsuits and workout gear but I was very underwhelmed by the sneaker selection. They did have a couple of unique designs that you'd come to expect from an NYC store but most of the selection was different variants of the same or not even in stock. I liked that you could download the Nike app and do shipping but also for that experience I can stay home and shop online. It's a fun experience though and if you spend a lot of money the robots make you a free t-shirt. read more

Loved this store Although they did not have what I came in here for, I did leave with two pairs of sneakers. I bought a brand-new pair of air Max 97's, and a brand new pair of blazers. The sales person that I was working with was a young Hispanic guy. He was knowledgeable he was very helpful he seem to just be very good at his job. One thing I can say about the workers is that they seem to be happy to work there. I did not come across any unhappy workers. I started upstairs I purchased my sneakers and then I went downstairs to the women's sports bra area and was greeted very nicely by a young lady. Wow...Nike flagship store moved from E. 57 St/5th Ave to 5th Ave/W. 52 St. Innovation is the key to this store! On the first floor there is a section where it seems like you can design your own sneakers. Looks amazing with the white walls and showcase the sneakers in a different states. There is a screen backdrop that changes where it shows athletes with their Nikes. Briefly talking to one of the employees on the floor while checking out the first floor -- if you have the Nike app you can do a lot of things including using the app to unlock a locker to pickup items, scan the item on the mannequin to get the details, checkout. Main/1st Floor was crowded when I checked it out. Not too much merchandise though a section where the employees are standing. 2nd Floor had a lot of people since that is where the traffic flow went with merchandise. I didn't bother to go up to the higher floors since I could come back when it's less crowded. Basement/lower level was more quiet. Pretty cool store. Nice job but was wondering if there could have been a better traffic pattern design. Only complaint since it was crowded when I went. I didn't get to check out every floor and was intrigued with the technology. Will come back when it's less crowded. read more

Short review - 5 stories of Nike greatness - Need I say more? Ok, now for those that would like a little more detail. If you're in time square it's about a 10 - 15 minute walk depending on how hard you get at it. When you enter, if you are visiting from another city/state....head to the 1st floor (down 1 floor). Here is where the NYC stuff can be found. Good size displays featuring men's and women's clothing and accessories. The second floor (the floor you enter on) has some innovation stuff that they have been doing along with all of the signature shoes you could ever want to check out. Floor 3 (I'm pretty sure) was set aside for the ladies. Again, clothing and accessories, but all geared towards women. Floor 4 is for the men (unless I swapped the men and women - I'm pretty sure you'll be able to distinguish upon arrival). Same set up as the women's floor just for the guys. Also, They had lot's of stuff that I haven't seen before. May because I'm from Alabama -- may just be this store, but worth checking out. Top floor, I didn't go there, but was set aside for the kids. Service was really good and employees made sure I didn't need any help. Were willing to go in the back and look for product for me and in general were just top notch. I will come back here for sure next visit to see what kind of signature items they have. read more

The store is very large, built on multiple floors. However, it's a bit of a tourist trap. Rude agents provide little help. It seems that the agents are doing you a favor by selling you a pair of shoes. Plus, if you want to buy anything, you have to download the nike app. No app, no sale. Weird! Not recommended. Nike NYC is a fairly cool store which is a large size and stands out on Fifth Avenue, inside it is pretty modern and it is also known as their "House of Innovation" as the store is pretty different as it is their flagship store. Other than the store looking nice inside and out, I'm struggling to warrant many other positives, the store felt a little bare with the selection average at best and I also found the store to be pretty difficult to get around due to an out of order lift, the one lift they did have moved really slow meaning you could be waiting even around 5 minutes to get up and down the store, which for a store of its' size is just not right nor suitable. They did have a few interesting and interactive parts of the store such as a modern ball pit style thing on the Ground Floor but many interactive sections around the store weren't manned to even say the public could get involved, rather than making it a fun experience the customer could get involved in. It does have some cool features and items, but still, for a store of its' size, I do feel it just isn't good enough with many flaws mentioned. 3* read more

Their customer service is horrible, we went in and purchased custom made clothes and the sales rep told us to leave and come back. We said there is a line outside we can stay and wait for it. The sales rep said we did not have to stay in line if we pay for it and just want to pick it up. When we got back the security said the sales rep was wrong and made us wait outside in the NY cold for 30 min. If we were not lied to we could have stayed or not pitched the clothes. I was wandering around when I came across this place. Let me start off by saying that I love NYC Nike stores! They are always so grand and HUGE multi-story retail spaces with a nice layout of product and all the latest and greatest on display. This location was no different. This is a 5-story location (yup F-I-V-E !!!). Each floor is comprised of a different selection of product. I don't remember them all but the first floor is a basketball demo spot where you could try on the latest B-ball shoes and shoot around with the staff. They also have a large area devoted to showing all the work that does into creating the soles of the shoes and the testing that is performed. One floor is men's stuff, another is women's and there is one floor that is all shoes. The shoe floor is always the best. Nice, bright, and spacious -- the floor has all the sports and styles available. The top floor is something unique. It has these luxurious fitting rooms where you can make an appointment with trained staff and see what products fit your fancy. Visit this spot. What a huge Nike store! The first thing you notice is the "testing lab" section when you walk in. A guy was shooting hoops when we walked in. The store has five stories and is clean and well organized. The fourth floor is all shoes and it was pretty busy even for a weekday morning. They have a HUGE variety of shoes which are sectioned off by model, so if you're looking for shoes, this is a great place to be. They do have a limit to how many shoes you can try on (I think they said two pairs per time). The workers are super helpful and attentive too. Overall, a great experience :) read more

Granted, it is still a very new location and the hype is still strong. The associates are all super nice and helpful, consistent with most new stores. Come here for the experience. As for trying things on or buying is difficult when it's busy. Thy have app pickup areas. This NIKE store was a little overwhelming at first because there's just sooo much to look at! And being that this store just opened on Wednesday, 14 November 2018, the large crowd added to the experience. I tried to come in (with a registered pass) on the day of the opening, but the mass surrounding the doors made it pretty difficult to enter the store. So I came back the following Sunday, and there was expectedly still a large crowd, but at least there was no wait to enter this time. It's a great retail location, as it's surrounded by other large and well-known retailers like Cartier, Zara, Uniqlo, etc. Plus it was a smart move for Nike to open just in time for everyone to start (or finish) their Christmas shopping! I came into the store to shop for myself (!). There are 5 floors and this location is just a bit larger than their SoHo store. The products were new and innovative, just what you'd expect with the Nike brand. There are little QV codes to scan within the store for certain products/styles see the store's stock availability to see if your size is available without having to look for a staff member. Additionally, it's a plus to have the Nike app on your smartphone because you can use that as well. And there is a Nike "pick up" area, which I did not utilize so I don't fully understand. But I am assuming that you locate the item on the app and you can choose your color and size and after a few button pushes, staff will get a notification and bring this requested item to the pick up area. It's also very easy to check out because there are little stations everywhere and lots of staff to help. There is a lot to see and experience at this store. Give it a try! read more

The store itself is huge and beautifully built. Walking in you are surprised to see so many floors. Unfortunately it feels bare inside with minimal selection. I purchased an item and paid in cash. I saw a same pair of shoes in a discounted price so I told the associate to price adjust it. She did. After a week and a half I changed my mind and return the shoes that I bought. They said they can't refund the full amount that I paid because I did price adjustments. They said I should've return the item then buy again the discounted shoes that I saw. Now, they didn't refund the full cash that I paid and gave me a gift card. First of all, it is not the customers fault if he/she saw a cheaper pair of shoes. Second, the associate should know better how to help a customer in this type of return. My husband and I had a great first time visit to Nike NYC House of Innovation last week, right before Christmas. My husband made a expert session thinking it was a design session but was able to work it out once there thanks to Isa and Lex. He was able to get VIP service as we were given a great tour of the whole store by Isa (his first expert session). The store is pretty cool and has nice athletic pieces. The sneaker design part of the store is the real gem. They apparently change out the sneaker to be customized every few weeks. After the tour, we were able to be squeezed in for a design session. Chris and Jared were great during the session. My husband was on crutches and everyone was really helpful. Shout out to Jose and Nydia who also helped make the trip special for husband. read more

When we first got inside, we were told that the floor that we were heading to had a line and that the wait was about 45 mins (just to get up there). Ask her for a pair shoes to try with every intention of purchasing, but did not hear from her for a good 10-15 minutes.... When ask what was the hold up all she said... "the are checking" the she resume to talk to another person.... No sorry for ur wait or nothing... That just poor customer service. As with most cities I try to visit the main/flagship "Nike store" I had visited once before, although this location looks to be brand new with a relocation just not too far away. Aesthetically, the floors look nice and everything looks well spaced out and organized with all the shoes on the 4th floor and apparel being spread out between the women and men's on the 2nd and 3rd floor. The first and fifth floor appeared to have "initiatives" where they're pushing certain lines of apparel and shoes and some special gear if you have a Nike+ account (also a special pickup zone on the bottom floor if you pre ordered or want to reserve something) You can also checkout on each floor with mobile Pos systems (desks) As a former employee of Nike I was already aware that there are a fair amount of knowledge gaps when it comes to conversing to the Nike athletes (associates) when it comes down to specifics (especially running shoes), as well as being aware to greeting "consumers" (customers). Unfortunately, it's a hit or miss on a majority of the employees. Half of them that I passed by were standing next to each other chatting not really acknowledging people. Also seeing several customers looking for an athlete for help. I browsed around all the way up each floor and wasn't greeted until I reached the top floor where one athlete actually said something. As per knowledge I would say they would guide you in a general direction, but don't expect super detailed explanations. 5 star aesthetics with a 2-3 star service. Take the surveys that are on the receipt if you purchase something so they're aware of their performance, the higher ups will see it and hopefully service improves. read more

I had the worst experience at this location today, one of the sales person shouted at my husband and was looking to have a physical fight since he felt disrespected by my husband looking for a women's shoe size for me . I cannot understand how a person like this can work in customer service. I spoke with the floor manager and did not feel this issue will be addressed although many people had to intervene to calm him down (other Nike) sales persons and descalate the situation, I am sure all was all captured by the security camera. i came to visit from Toronto and have travelled to many places in my life and have visited many times NYC but this experience left me sad and disappointed, on a great visit to a great city so until now. last to say that I would rather buy online than have to deal with this again. read more

This is a really nice looking store. Each of the floors has different merchandise (i.e. wide range of sneakers on 4th floor, running and lifestyle on 3rd, women's on 2nd, etc). It is shocking that a great company like Nike hires people who appear to be apathetic (unmotivated, unenthusiastic, lost). I visited the store on Sunday, June 2 around 3pm. The number of Nike employees on the 3rd floor was a sight to behold. I asked for a certain shirt and an associate let me know the store had a size small and that he would request for the shirt to be brought out in a short period of time. I let him know that I was going to check out the rest of the store and I would return for the shirt. I returned about 10 minutes later and still no $70 Nike Tech running shirt (color: gray). 81 year old Phil Knight should write a book about how pathetic the store employees are and avoid telling people what a great story Nike became. read more
