Great flagship store! We loved that they were already decorated for Christmas. The first floor had many of the signature bags and accessories along with a really cool T-Rex. You can take the stairs to floors 2 and 3 or ride the glass elevator. Floor two has a customization table where you can personalize your items and it looked like attendants were available to help. The third floor had clothing and other, nicer jewelry. Service was friendly, helpful and not pushy. We bought a gift for our daughter and will bring her back when we return to The City for Christmas. read more

I was recommended by multiple stores to come to the fifth ave flagship store to get custom hangtags because they have a bigger selection of stamps. The customer service of a few employees was EXTREMELY off putting. I was told they are trained by the best to know how to deliver quality monogrammed hangtags. I picked out a couple I wanted to get stamped and they shipped them to me. When I received my hangtags in the mail they were scratched and had marks all over them. I contacted the fifth ave store and shipped them back only to be told since they are incapable of following the design I gave them; that they could not do what I wanted because they wanted to keep it "simple". This is the worst coach store I have ever been to. I recommend any other coach store in nyc. read more

Not very knowledgeable, in the world of purses, bags, pocketbooks , or what have you. But I know my wife needed a work bag and her birthday was coming up. So I came to COACH on 5th Ave. This location is busy; with people and products. Navigating the inventory here is not easy. Luckily I ran into Gianni. He was a great help and found exactly what I was looking for. The Empire 40. While he took great care in wrapping it up, I explored the rest of the store. The upstairs is almost like a workshop, where you can customize your purchase. They even have some cool stuff for men. My wife loved the bag, and used it right away. She even added her own charms to really make it her own. Special thanks to Courtney , for her in store help . I'm sure we will be back. Was doing some 5th Ave shopping, needing some flats for an upcoming conference. I used to own some coach flats, so I figured I would pop in and see what they have. I was able to purchase a pair of clogs and some slides. I also wandered around and found a coach shirt. The store was huge - at least 3 floors. I was in NYC last weekend and my first stop was the Coach store. I loved it! Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and explained where things were since there's 3 floors. The dinosaur made from purses was the coolest thing ever. I plan to come back and make a custom purse where you can choose the leathers, colors, hardware, tags, etc... The prices start at $425.00. They also had a ReLoved section, nice items but way out of my budget (one purse was $4,550). Anyway if you ever get chance check it out and ask for Gina, she was the best! read more

I am usually the one buying a Coach bag as a gift for my daughter or daughter in law. I give them for the holidays or special birthdays. I love Coach and my Coach bag has been fabulous to me for the last 4 years. But, it was time for a new one. I was in Macy's and saw "The Carly" bag..my heart skipped a beat and I tried the bag on. It fit perfectly. I loved this bag. The supple leather, the beautiful black color, and the fine workmanship. But, the price was too high and I left without the bag. But, since I am a Coach devotee and I saw it online. It was on sale. I called but I found out that it was only on sale in the grey color. : ( Have no fear, the nice and professional saleslady offered me 20 percent off. Well, deal done. Coach bags are not cheap, but they wear like iron and are absolutely beautiful and timeless. My bag arrived quickly. It was overnighted and packed with exquisite care. It has its own cover and was packed from end to end in protective coverings. I am so happy. I appreciate the professionalism and kindness that I received from Coach and their employees. Wow! Biggest Coach store in the world!! The staff members were friendly. Our service was quick and easy. They were able to answer all our questions. There is a large selection of products at this store!! Men's, women's, kids.. so much! Shoes, jewelry, perfume! Prices are fair! There's surprisingly some cheap stuff at Coach as well, you just got to ask. We got earrings for $45. I'm leaving 4 stores because I wasn't totally blown away.. I've been to other coach stores and I feel very VIP there. I'm also sad that one pair of earrings was missing the little paper they go on.. instead they were put into a little bag. Kinda sad since the reason to go to a coach store is for good quality and a top notch experience. read more

While my cousin had in her hand, a purse which happened to be the last of that purse , Fatim deliberately asked her to hand over the purse to let another customer look at it . Confused, my cousin waited for the purse to be handed back, however the lady ended up making the purchase leaving my cousin without the opportunity to purchase the bag herself. I give a shit where you take a shit... Stepped into the bathroom oasis at this place, and the decor was modern and clean, though it had all the excitement of beige paint. One large, private bathroom felt like I had my own VIP restroom. The custom soap made me feel like a handwashing maestro, and there was only one monogrammed paper towel - or perhaps it was a napkin - that I treated like it was the last one on Earth. I dried my hands with such elegance, I almost expected a round of applause. My wife got stuck I. The elevator and jammed her finger some how trying to get out. I followed up with the store managers Joey, David, Amanda and Mr. Gonzalez. They sent us a card saying they are sorry and a wine coozy. I asked to exchange the gift they sent and was told by Mr Gonzales that it can't be exchanged and was told that my wife was not stuck that long anyway. I sent my wife's doctor report to coach and requested there company incident report. I have not gotten a email confirmation back and feel like they are avoiding me. Coach Store on Fifth Avenue is the Flagship of all Coach Stores to me. I feel like I spend at least a half hour every time I visit. Sometimes I ask questions and I find the employees friendly, knowledgeable and eager to please. I'm always greeted with a smile when I enter. I've reviewed this store and taken photos but for some reason they're missing. Coach New York is an American luxury design house specializing in handbags, luggage, and accessories, where else would they strategically place their beautiful store but on Fifth Avenue. The price is worth it for the quality merchandise in my opinion. I've always preferred the vintage styles. The leather accessories and bags I've owned never wear out. I like the look of the original designs especially black leather bags and accessories. I have a change purse and a wrist bag both are beautiful black leather. The bag with the wrist strap is my favorite soft leather. I have a bag I purchased they call a bucket style bag. It's also plain black leather. There's two inside zipper pockets and comfortable shoulder straps. I've never had a problem with anything I own. I will add that Coach was founded in 1941 as a family-run workshop in a loft on 34th Street in Manhattan. They began with six leather-workers who made wallets and billfolds by hand. If you get a chance visit this store. It's an experience you won't forget. read more

I lived in NJ, I can't run to New York every day. I went to return the bag on July 13. The manager (man with short hair)is being very discriminating. While I don't normally review retail stores and even less often review chains, this was just a cool store, with great salespeople and doing cool stuff--chiefly marketing to nerds. My wife and I walked in mostly because it was next to the Stuart Weizmann store and we were window shopping on 5th ave, but we saw the NASA purse in the window and had to walk in. Then, standing in the middle of the store was a giant Tyrannosaurus Rex all made from coach bags. Cool! Looking around, there were more NASA logo bags and even a mini solar system model in the doorway. Sure, it didn't bear any resemblance to how an actual solar system would work, but still cool. Beyond that, we had an amazingly helpful salesperson who took the time to make sure w saw all the different stuff and picked the bag that we liked this most. Kyle was so lovely to work with, and he didn't rush me at all to pick out which tags and colors and stamps I wanted. I definitely recommend him as a sales associate if you're in! The staff monogramming was really nice as well, making sure my tags looked good, even though it was a bit busy. They were all really welcoming. It's 3 stories tall, all the associates are so friendly. They do custom monogramming, I think they actually do repairs in-store also (never seen that in a Coach store before). The store is beautiful, and the elevator floor has a beautiful mosaic title decoration displaying the store's name. I didn't intend to buy anything, but I made it a point to enter anyway and at least give myself a walking tour of the store, and I'm glad I did. read more

I love Coach bags. I've had the same one for 20 years really and finally need a new one. I have wore it to death! So I have been purchasing online and each bag I get hasn't been a good fit for me. The bags are all gorgeous and I love them all, just need to find the perfect fit. So I've been to this Coach store three times over returning and I am consistently treated like a second class customer by Kimberly. It's not my imagination since I have felt it too many times. Elizabeth said to me, "Kimberly will take of you." and I am saying to myself, no she won't because for some reason she needs to treat me subpar ever time. So a minute later Elizabeth saw that I wasn't being helped. Kimberly had her back to me once again pretending she had more important things to do. Elizabeth said she'd take me. I said to Elizabeth, it's like this every time I am here. Elizabeth said, it's the holidays making an excuse for the behavior. Had a really good experience here recently. Stopped in here to get a purse for the girlfriend and they were doing a mother's day special. I was texting her photos of different styles before making a purchase which took a while as she was back home and at work. The salesperson Bianca was super patient and helpful offering different choices until we zeroed in on the right one.They even did a free monogram tag for it which was done while I waited.
