On Monday this week (8/30), we received a voicemail from Kia saying we needed to choose a color and they have us booked to start our job on Monday Sept 6. I called her back and left a voicemail...nothing. Texted her... nothing. Now in addition to my calls to her, we've called the main number and got a full voicemail box. Texted it...nothing. Called and texted our sales rep...nothing. Getting the feeling we've been had, we found all of these glowing yelp reviews and realized we were right. Now we will try and get our deposit back and will contact a lawyer if/when necessary. If others plan on taking the legal route, it may be easier for us to work together with a lawyer so we don't spend more on legal costs than we stand to get back from the company - if a refund is even possible. And the website is down, so that's cool. So to new prospective customers, learn from these reviews and STAY AWAY! ***Update 9/6*** We received a call from the company on Friday 9/3 saying our job had been cancelled and they were refunding our deposit. With the holiday weekend, we haven't seen any pending refund, but I'll update this review when we do. ***Update 9/26*** We've filed a dispute with our bank because Paint Doctor hasn't issued any refund at all. Out of fairness, I'll update this if anything else happens regarding a refund from the company... but I'm not holding my breath.

The company takes pride in its work and DOES sweat the details (in a good way!), ensuring there are no surprises when it comes to functionality, aesthetics, schedule, and costs. Their pricing was fair, and as someone who is a value-conscious consumer, I felt like the quality of the work - not to mention the ease of working with them - was tremendous for the price paid. They also were simply pleasant to have in our home for the better part of three months; they were always incredibly prompt, cleaned up after themselves, and treated our entire family, including kids and cats, with a lot of care.
