I had 3 microneedling sessions for skin rejuvenation with Nikki last Winter/Spring. I am so pleased with the results. My main concerns were deep lines above and below my lips, marionette lines, and naso-labial fold lines. After about 5-6 months, the lines are greatly diminished. I had Nikki's recommended three (3) sessions of permanent makeup done. $150 plus tip.....PER SESSION.....for a total of almost $500!! It did not "stick!" Two weeks after my final session.....the work she did had faded and was half gone. Nikki does not stand behind her work or try to make it right......that is without you paying more money! I found another permanent makeup artist in Matthews.....she only does permanent makeup. She does GREAT work and charges considerably less! I got my first tattoo at Nikki's Tattoo Studio from Jewel. She started with a design I had given her and made some helpful suggestions to improve it. She talked through the process with me and explained what was going to happen. I got the tattoo on my rib which I had heard is a painful location. I do not have a high pain tolerance so I was nervous but the actual tattooing was not even close to as painful as I anticipated it would be. Horrible expirience with this shop got my tattoondone by nikki herself and she sucks lots of lines faded on it and she said if i wanted a retouch i had to pay $75 more after the original $300 i paid upfront. A great tattoo is one that you can't wait to show off. I have some other tattoos I've gotten elsewhere and they are awesome! I put some thought into my latest piece and asked Nikki to do it. She was kind and cordial during the tattoo process, but unfortunately the tattoo is one I cover. It is nowhere near the same quality as my others! I asked Nikki to touch up something minor. She got offended that I critiqued her artistic vision. She further explained that there was no mistake and that what I had requested to be touched up was on the original drawing. (It wasn't). She got flustered (almost angry) and said she'd go ahead and fix it but that it would ruin the tattoo (she used other words) as she gloved up angrily. Given her attitude I walked out not wanting that person to touch me! I'll get the touch up somewhere else - and hopefully I can get someone to fix it so I enjoy showing it off. read more

I decided to get my first tattoo at Nikki's because of the work i had seen on some one i know. I went in and inquired about the work i wanted. I did not speak to Nikki herself about this but two women who work out front, one of which is the second and only other artist working there. they said Nikki could do it and i put down the requested deposit. When i went in on my scheduled appointment i was nervous as exppected. Nikki called me back and put the stencil on my arm. I did not think to really look at it as i was nervous about how things would feel. i verified placement and trusted that she had taken the provided artwork and reporduced it. However, afterwards I noticed that she had interpreted my provided artwork and had redrawn it because she said the original was too choppy looking. after a couple of weeks i went back to talk to her. i had questions to ask. However she became offended and did not seem willing to listen to my question regarding the difference between the artwork i provided and her interpretation. The piece does not look like it was done by someone who claims over fifteen years experience. I left disappointed that she seemed unwilling to listen to me. I did not ant any confrontation and i did not speak any harsh words to her. But I could never reccomend anyone to this shop based on my experience. There are better shops around with much better artists. Really di some research before committing to something like a tattoo. read more

Started going here in February 2014. I have 5 tattoos from here and had no problems with the first 4. Everything went down hill yesterday when I contacted them via email concerning the 5th tattoo that I got in May of this year. It still looked really bruised around it, so I wanted to ask if this was an ink reaction or something that could be fixed. Their first response simply stated they could see nothing wrong with the pic I sent them and it looked fine. I responded that something was definitely off about it. That is when I received the response that "this ends the tattoo relationship" and they wished me good luck on my future endeavors. I take that to mean they no longer want my business and I can take my concerns to someone else to fix. That is really sad, and not how you run a proper business. I suggest really doing your research so that you find the best possible tattoo artist, because this is permanent. I have no problems with the other tattoos, and give them 5 stars on the work. It drops to 2 stars yesterday for the negative attitude and nasty email response. read more

I got a tattoo from Nikki about 2 weeks ago - my first. She was nice, very knowledgeable, and extremely professional. My husband watched and commented that she had a very steady hand. She made me feel very at ease and the receptionist took the time to explain how the deposits, etc, work. The tattoo was custom drawn for me by them and it turned out beautifully. It's a pretty small design and it was not cheap, but not too expensive. I think in this case, you get what you pay for. Do not waste your time. Nikki is very unprofessional. My wife got 2 tattoos there a couple of months ago and we went back for a touch up recently. Unfortunately, the artist is no longer with them and we had to deal with the owner, Nikki, who said she could do it but for no less than $50, and I quote: "I don't want to lose money on the deal. I didn't get paid for those in the first place". How you run the business is absolutely not my problem. Just about every reliable shop you go to gives you a free touch up if needed. The work was paid for and the service was not completed. Very disappointing. read more
