I love the chicken lemon soup,comforting on a rainy night. The eggplant dip was yummy and smoky. This went well with our Greek wine, yes yelpers, Greek wine! This is a smaller version of the great Nikos in Magnolia. The Menu is much smaller. I like the salad with lamb and the rice bowls are great. Hot pita bread served with most dishes is delicious. For a small restaurant it a good choice for tasty food. read more

5 stars for speed and convenience! My sis and I were starving and needed a place where we could order and eat within 20 minutes. Nikos came through with our order ready in 10 and boy was it yum. This is the brother restaurant to the one in Magnolia. We've always loved that place, but now that we are in west Seattle it's further away. We were happy to find this right by the transit center in Beacon Hill. The food was just as good as the Magnolia location, they have just streamlined the menu and added a few things. I love the chicken and my husband the lamb/beef gyro. You can buy the salad dressing too. They now have a bowl option where you can get a protein, veggie and rice. I always get extra tzatziki and use it on my salad. So happy this local, family restaurant expanded. read more

The single worst gyro I've ever had. We ordered two lamb and took them home. Upon opening them we discovered a saucy mess that didn't even resemble a gyro sandwich. Both pitas were soaked and falling apart, a couple sorry tomato slices, and a glob of tzatziki at one end. The meat didn't even look or taste like lamb.. more like shredded beef with a gamey aftertaste. I took one bite before snapping the picture, but it's what it looked like when we opened. Went here the other day to try it out and brought my husband back a couple of days later. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff was awesome. He brought out a bowl of water for our dog and pointed out where we could get hot sauce and other items when we placed our order. This is a neighborhood gem and I really hope it sticks around! The very first time I had a gyro, my husband introduced me to lamb gyro was in Ontario Canada about 25 years ago. Tasted really good. Moved back to Seattle about 12 years ago and hadn't found the same good gyro until this year:) Nikos gyros has the perfect seasoning of flavors and soft pita. My daughter ordered take out and was the first one to try and she gave it a thumbs up. She got me a take out order also, I had to agree with her! Today David, I think the owner, brought a tray of different types of gyros the restaurant serves to my place of work to try. The staff all enjoyed the gyros. All tasty and we all agree we need to order lunch or dinner from them soon. After taking light rail to beacon hill only to discover that our destination Homer is not open for lunch, we lucked upon Nikos. I had been to the family's restaurant on magnolia but wasn't overwhelmed with the food there. We went in and decided to try their bowls, something not on their magnolia menu. At $13 they aren't exactly "cheap" but what the heck. Every bowl has a base of rice, sautéed veggies and onions, plus a sauce. You chose a protein. We ordered the salmon and leg of lamb. Both Fantastic! There was a lot of salmon and it was perfect. So delicious. Crispy outside and moist inside. I had the leg of lamb. Seasoned and cooked to a tee. Not in the least bit chewy, as a lot of lamb can be. There's no question that I will return. Next time though I will bring a container to take some of it home. A lot of good food in those bowls. read more

I have always been a fan of Nikos Gyros since I first tried their location in Magnolia back in 2007. When it comes to classic Greek food that uses wholesome, healthy, fresh ingredients, you can count on Nikos to deliver. It's been twelve years since I first tried Nikos, and I was happy to see them open another location in Beacon Hill that boasts the same quality I've always found in their food. I saw another review that commented on a overall lack of salt and flavor in the hummus but... if adding salt to your dish is your idea of adding flavor, 1) I don't trust your opinion and 2) Go eat at McDonalds bud. AS FOR MYSELF, my go to dish is the Lamb Souvlaki dinner plate, which comes with greek fries and feta, a salad, pita bread, tzatziki sauce, and of course the lamb. If you're a rookie you probably missed this, but you HAVE to add the original Nikos Gyros dressing to your fries and salad. Yes, your fries too (thank me later). And if you don't shake the bottle first, you're still a rookie and you probably got a glob of oil and some herbs/spices, but it's okay, you'll catch on eventually. In any event, an old school Nikos fan gives this new location a five star. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. read more

This place is counter service so you order up front, get a number, and then they bring the food out to you. The staff was very friendly and the space is clean and colorful. The price was more on the high end given what you get in return. Food: Order the beef/lamb gyro combo which comes with a side of fries and a salad. The salad was fresh. The gyro was okay, not bad but not amazing - I don't know why but it didn't stand out to me. The fries are decent, they come topped with feta cheese. The most cost-efficient way of eating here is just to get gyros for seven bucks each. They're flavorful and a great value; decently sized and filled. I've had the lamb and the pork belly ones, and they're legit. What disappointed me were the Greek fries. First off, the portion size is skimpy. Uh, fries are really cheap, but for four dollars, it shouldn't just take up half of a small oval plate (the other half of which was occupied by my gyro). Also, they forgot the feta. My Greek fries were basically fries with a sprinkle of seasoning. I had to ask them for the feta, and the guy looked at me as though it didn't come with it. Don't know about the other stuff, but the rest of it didn't look like an amazing value; so I'll just stick to the gyros. read more

This is my new go-to lunch spot for their super delicious gyro-bowl. I have to say I tried them a few times after they opened a few years ago and was underwhelmed. I really wanted them to succeed but found the food "meh". So I'm happy to report that my 2 recent visits were more "WOW" and "YUM". Not sure if there's someone new in the kitchen or they just stepped up the amount of feta and sauce they've added to give their tender meat and bright and delicious grilled veggies the kick they needed. They look to do a good lunch business due to the construction site next door, but are much less busy at dinner time. And of course it's all take-out only at the moment so that also makes it hard to gauge how they're doing. But do check them out if you haven't yet. We are so lucky to have so many independently owned restaurants in our neighborhood and it's so worth supporting them all! read more

This is a great Greek restaurant, you order at the register then sit down at a table and they do the rest. This is my second time and there will be many more.
