Billie Jo washed, dried and styled my hair in 30 min. She listened to my concerns, and did my hair perfectly, not flat ironing too much and giving my bangs some volume. It took a long time and lots of research to find her, so this was not great news! I did some research around Sumner County and found Sandi at Fresh Esthetics. This place is literally a five minute drive from my work--BONUS! Upon further inspection, they offer all of the amazing services of a Nashville salon (hard wax being my #1 requirement), and for a fraction of the price. The first time I visited, Sandi blew me away with how comfortable she made me feel and how down to earth and REAL she is. Not only did she do an amazing job with my wax, she was really fun to talk to! I've now been back for a follow-up visit and I must say, the salon is clean, the appointment reminders are amazing and they even carry some really cool product in the waiting area. This is a very basic etiquette of running a business. I reached out to her recently about my concern. She then mentioned for the first time that skin purging typically happens with hydrafacial when using homecare routine but this never happened to any other client so I never mentioned to you earlier. It was complete lack of knowledge sharing from her side. She was very furious about me complaining about my skin. I had all the rights of knowing complete plus and minus effects of an hydrafacial when I specifically mentioned to her that I have very sensitive skin after my pregnancy. She never ever mentioned this purging effect of hydrafacial to me before. It's your job to mention all the side effects from your side. This is very disappointing and completely non professional. On complaining she mentioned a representative from hydrafacial would reach you out. This is utterly unacceptable and ridiculous customer service. Not taking accountability of your own business. I was given no meaningful pre-care guidance, which is completely unacceptable for a treatment involving active ingredients. The treatment itself was shockingly aggressive and painful. This was not "slightly uncomfortable"--it was a 9/10 pain level, with my eyes tearing throughout. She started with what said was was gently washing my face which already felt like exfoliation and abrasive. Based on everything I've since seen and read, this is not how this treatment is supposed to be performed. I even watched a live demo of this and it looked effortless. This young 21 year old they had made it feel like I was in the Korean spa getting my first layer of skin sloshed off. It felt careless and improperly executed, incredibly abrasive and aggressive. Nothing like a massage. Immediately afterward, my face was covered in red bumps and blotchy irritation. I had an event the same evening, she said I would be fine. My skin looked significantly worse than before I walked in. Instead of improving my skin, this treatment visibly damaged it. To make matters worse, the only aftercare I was given was a faded, barely legible printout, and I was quickly ushered out the door with no real explanation. Nothing except a piece of paper. Is this how you treat human beings when you should be the expert? No one took the time to properly walk me through what to expect or how to care for my skin after such an aggressive procedure. This experience showed a serious lack of professionalism, training, and basic client care. Between the poor communication, disregard for the products I was using, and the way the treatment was performed, I do not feel this service was done safely or correctly. While the clinic did respond after I complained, that does not undo the experience or the condition my skin was left in. I would strongly caution others before booking this service here. I have reason to believe that the "nurse" performing this named Isabelle seemed very inexperienced. I should also mention that this was hard to book this appointment as they had no one on staff to do it on the day I needed it and then suddenly they had someone with a lot of 'expertise' on hand to do it. I think I was her first patient and she had clearly no idea what she is doing. Also they offered me a release form to sign as they know they did something wrong. I should also add that when speaking to the owner about this she seemed careless, stood behind her staff and dismissed all of my complaints as issues. They offered contradictory info, between when I bought this package and when out I tried to book it. They are all about selling, not actually following thru on what they sell.

Despite serious health concerns (hysterectomy with residual endometriosis, spinal cord tumor history, ongoing hormone deficiencies), my treatment has been handled more like a med spa add-on service than true medical care. Key issues: * Unqualified staff handling medical intake: My "front desk" contact and the person who weighed me, took my vitals, and gathered my medical history turned out to be an aesthetician/laser tech, not a licensed nurse or medical assistant. This was never disclosed up front. * Delayed and inconsistent communication: Messages and emails often came weeks late, sometimes signed by the provider but sent from the aesthetician, which was very confusing. * Poor hormone management: Instead of adjusting carefully, all three hormones (estradiol, progesterone, testosterone) were doubled at once based on outdated labs. This led to massive swings in my levels -- from dangerously low to excessively high -- with no timely re-testing. Requests for labs at 6-8 weeks were dismissed, leaving me symptomatic and in the dark for months at a time. * Provider focus elsewhere: The main clinician splits time between a hospital job and this spa, and a location in Franklin and it shows. Patient care feels like an afterthought. Bottom line: Hormone replacement therapy requires careful titration, close follow-up, and trained medical professionals.
