It can feel a bit cramped but gives kinda a speakeasy vibe meets hipster. Note that finding parking is a bit challenging here. There are two booths on the window that would make excellent date spots. The reason for the rating is due to the service. I made a reservation for the spot and made reference to it being our anniversary. However, nothing was done to reference the reason for the dinner. I had never been there and didn't know about the booth availability. The place was busy but we didn't get much attention (menus were left on the table, didn't get small plates to eat the Drummies properly, got one refill of water toward the end, etc). I felt bad about this rating because I've read people enjoying the experience. However, this is what I experienced. The food is great. Service could be better.

We sat at the bar for dinner and enjoyed every minute of our time there. Great drink menu and the cocktails are amazing! The Bleu Duck Old Fashioned was very good. Started out with the Hawaiian rolls and I recommend you do the same....SO GOOD! I ordered the duck for my meal and really enjoyed it. Cooked perfectly and the sauce was fantastic. Looks like they change the recipe throughout the seasons. Save room for dessert. We ordered the fresh baked cookies. Thats right, fresh baked cookies. Baked when you ordered them. Loved it! So happy with our visit to Bleu Duck. We will be back on our next trip to Rochester.

My husband caught his tone and immediately was upset after this. Also a fruit fly had flown into my friends drink which is not only gross but not our fault and when asking if he could have at least that dumped out and the same amount poured into it since it was on ice he said well that's basically water now and then said but okay sure whatever and walked away. As someone who has worked in the customer service industry I would have been absolutely mortified to speak to people this way and then to return to the table and show my face again. It was very disappointing. We wanted to speak to a manager but also wanted to get out as fast as we could as well. However we did keep the receipt to make sure we had his name.
