Very pleased with the service from NimNim. I use them almost weekly. Turn around time is usually one business day for basic dry cleaning or launder and press shirt service. Shoe repair service is a bit longer; I think they are sent out. NimNim team is great at alterations too. I've sent in many items to have the sleeves or legs shortened. They are normally back in 2-3 days and are very well tailored. Prices are competitive for the market and the app is easy to use. My only suggestion for improvement is that the crew write back the estimated return date for the order if it will take longer than the requested return date in the app. But after a few orders - you get the hang of the turn around time. As a test of different laundry services in the area, I tried NimNim on several occasions. Even though they are friendly and prompt, they simply DO NOT clean your clothes. You WILL get back dirty laundry. It's my conclusion that they either do not use detergent to cut costs, or "wash" the clothes in filthy, grimy washers. Over several occasions I have received clothes back which have given me rashes. Please look at the pictures and do not use them. You're thank me later! read more

The concept behind this company is fantastic. Honestly, at first, it was fine. Then it started being late with pick-ups and drop offs. One pickup they never showed, but after contacting them, they arranged for an alternate pick up time early the next day. Ok. I can handle that. Then, one drop off they never showed. We waited until nearly 11pm and nothing. Finally NimNim staff responded and said they weren't coming but that they would come the next day. I had a lengthy discussion with the staff and they were apologetic. I figured everyone deserves a second (or third) chance, even after charging me FULL PRICE for a service that was not performed properly. Today, they never showed up for a pick-up. They have not responded to several texts/emails. So, I'm done. If you have absolutely no schedule to maintain and time is not important to you, this service may be ok. But if you rely on a company to deliver its services within the time frame advertised and agreed upon, the do not use this service. read more

These two stars are solely because the people who run this business are super nice. But I've decided today to stop using their service because they continually mess up and are unreliable. Oh, and I've also received someone else's underwear three times. Who knows what someone else has received of mine. They are often late for their pickup and drop off times, but I can deal with a half hour here or there. This time they just didn't show up and left me waiting for hours. My boyfriend and I were waiting on a Sunday morning to go out for breakfast, we had an 8-9am pickup, and they didn't show. I called, messaged on FB and emailed. Finally get a call back at 11am and they offer to come the next morning between 8-9am and to rush the order for a 7-9pm return that night, somewhat making up for it. Great. Well we waited till 10pm last night and no one showed. Now they're promising our clothes back between 5-6pm tonight. We will see if it happens. Definitely moving to a different service! read more

Only because 0 isn't an option. For over a year, I've been trying to resolve an issue where NimNim lost a very expensive blanket belonging to me. They've admitted it was lost. They had someone contact me directly, after many months of attempts on my side with no response. This woman assured me we would resolve this matter. I provided research from many different vendors indicating the price range for such an item (as it was a gift from many years ago and very expensive). I said I wanted to be reasonable, as I realized it was costly and asked her to provide me what she believed was a fair settlement number. I never heard from her again - going on 3 months no word and the issue has been open for over a year. I was patient for a long time, reasonable in my expectations and now I have to pay an attorney because NimNim is incapable of doing the right things - be honest, be professional and be fair to the customer when they lose something that is both sentimentally valuable and monetarily valuable. The customer isn't always right, but when they are doing the right thing makes a statement about how much or how little you value them. read more

I have never experienced such horrific service in my life. DO NOT USE!!! My laundry was supposed to be delivered yesterday between 4pm and 6pm. It never arrived. After submitting a ticket and calling customer service 10 times I was finally able to talk to someone. He informed me that the driver never labeled my bag when he picked it up so they didn't know who it belonged to so they did not wash it. They had my laundry for two days and didn't even try to figure out whose laundry it was!! The person then assured me I would have my laundry by 8am the next morning and (after some back and forth) offered me a 20% discount. He specifically stated he would pick my laundry up at 6am and come straight to my apartment to drop it off. 8am came and passed and still no laundry. I called customer service again and spoke with a woman who said she would get an ETA and call me back. 20 minutes went by and she never called me back so I called again. She told me that she would not provide me with an ETA nor do anything else to rectify the problem because they are a small business. At 9:17 I got a text that my laundry would be here in 10 minutes. At 9:32 my laundry finally arrived. When I weighed my laundry to ensure I received it all, it only weighed 50lbs and I was charged for 68lbs. I then reached out to ask if there was more laundry coming or if I was over charged. I have yet to hear back. I will continue to call the afternoon. read more

I was a loyal Nim Nim customer for 4 years. But that changed last week; so much so that I am writing a Yelp review. Nim Nim prides themselves on 24 hour turnaround dry cleaning. But what they really need to work on is professionalism and communication. They not only lost one of my items, but they also neglected to update me on the rest of the order that they lost for a week. The order had a very expensive cocktail dress that I needed to wear that weekend to a gala. I left many voicemails just asking for transparency- I needed to know if they lost the whole order because if so I needed to frantically find another dress for the gala. Nim Nim did not call me back and STILL has not called me back concerning the lost item. I will never use Nim Nim again, I don't recommend this company to anyone. read more
