Good people in the Everett. I found a 57 year old jacket that had no zipper and was all stained. It was the jacket my deceased husband was wearing when I first met him. I brought it to Carters just to put in a zipper. When I picked it up carters cleaned and pressed it. All the stains were gone and the color was more vibrant than ever. IT LOOKED BRAND NEW! They knew the jacket had special meaning and did not charge me for the cleaning. I felt it was a sign from my husband because by chance it happened on my husbands birthday. read more

I recently moved to the area and was looking for dry cleaners and all the reviews on google looked great for here! I had brought in Marine dress blues (jacket and pants) to get dry cleaned. Dropped off on a Friday with easy communication with the staff, and came back on Saturday (very accommodating with pick up times) to pick up. The man who had helped me (same guy as at drop off/pick up) was knowledgeable about what had to be done (pleated, pins removed) and accommodating. Aight, here's the run down. What the heck is dry cleaning? Says me, the guy who never dry cleans his clothing. For the entirety of my 25 years of existence, all I've known is the washer and the dryer. But recently, as I grow more into my profession, the need for suits and dress shirts become more apparent. And in my case, custom bespoke items come into play, and those are expensive af. Therefore, throwing these kind of items into the regular washer and dryer isn't a good thing. So with that, I managed to get a stain on one of my dress shirts, and wasn't going to risk ruining the fabric throwing it in the washer and found Carter's. Service was pretty solid and dry cleaning me a shirt was I think $3.50. Not too shabby, since I don't think I'll be dry cleaning as often. I was visiting from out of town for a wedding in the weekend and for reasons too long to explain, I had to travel with a brand new un-hemmed gown. It was a Wednesday afternoon and I had to find someone who could hem the gown by Friday night. I turned to my trusted Yelp for Help! I went to the very first place that yelp recommended, according to my location, only to find out it was closed (and yes, I've notified Yelp). At this point, my anxiety was peaking. So, to avoid driving around town and getting even more anxious, I decided to call the next "nearest" location to me (even though it's in the next town over). A man, who probably has never encountered a customer with a problem like mine answered, but quickly handed the phone over to a seemingly seamstress. I spoke with her in a rushed manner. I expressed the urgency. I didn't even breath! And when she said she could take on my request, I told her that I'm not sure how long it'll take me to get there, but I'd be right there since I was already in my car! And her response was "it's ok. Just breath. We don't close until 7pm today. Just bring it in by then and you'll be fine." She proceeded to say "you can pick it up anytime on Friday after 3pm and before 7pm (when they close)." She was very friendly and understanding to the point where she calmed my anxiety. My thought immediately was "southern hospitality in Massachusetts?!!" When it came time to pick up the dress, I was sure I was going to get charged an additional "expedited" fee or something, but nope! I just paid the $24 hemming fee for a gown! They did an amazing job with the stitching and it was perfect! For the two times while I was there, and only for a couple minutes each time, I noticed that they do dry cleaning on the premises. As I watched the final dry cleaned product hanging up, it looked like they do a good job. I don't know their dry cleaning prices. And I haven't used their dry cleaning services (YET!). But I've recommended them to all of my family who live nearby. read more

Been coming for years. Always great service. Today I brought a dress in to be hemmed. The woman zipping me up had the fabric twisted and couldn't get it to zip. She blamed me and said the dress didn't fit me. When I told her that I had recently tried the dress on when I picked it up, she asked what had I eaten to now be too large for the dress. I've never been so hurt and embarrassed in my life. I told her if she couldn't do it I'd leave but that those types of comments are not needed. I also told her she had the fabric twisted and when I untwisted it, magically the dress zipped up. HORRIBLE customer service from this woman. AND, when she was "pinning" my dress, she put ONE, yes, ONE pin in the dress. Are you serious? She took no time at all. So I can't wait to see what they'll do to my $300 dress. They have never failed to deliver a rush order on time or to my specifications. Mr. Carter is very responsive via email whether I reach out to schedule an order pick up or I have a random question. Mr. Carter is an honest man who truly cares about customer service. As an example, when I first became a customer one of my irreplaceable garments were damaged and he paid for the garment, at a different cleaner they would of told you see you later! Not only is it affordable but they are extremely kind and always friendly. They offer me tips on the best service they have for my needs and explain to me exactly the difference between services and what will fit my needs. I am also able to tell them where they can specifically target in cleaning my clothes. After I wear my clothes I leave brown stains, and when I bring it to them all I have to say is 'detail on the edges' and they take care of it. They also are very patient and do whatever it takes to meet the shortest of deadlines. They did this for me when I had a job interview. I like the fact that there is a clean changing room with mirror and that I feel like they are family, they are just so friendly and professional, if you take a long time to pick up your clothes, they will still be nice about it, and all the clothing comes with hanngas and nicely in their plastic covers...I could go on forever, bring in your shirts, get a nice receipt with ALL the information for your pick up...or pay and pick up later, or get it for when you need it...I wouldn't go anywhere else!! read more
