Nina's is one of my go to Brunch/Lunch spots. The food is always great. Kids love the pancakes, and the chicken bacon ranch wrap is my go to. I've had the breakfast burrito. It was good, but not my favorite. That is the only breakfast option I probably wouldn't order again. All the portion sizes are large. you are not gonna leave hungry. The service is always friendly and attentive. Even when they are super crowded...which is most of the time Inside is always clean and inviting. It is a little more pricey than Mama Daughters, but the food is a little more upscale than your typical diner. One of my favorites, and also a favorite of half of Forney....always packed. read more

This place is hit or miss. Some of the food is good. But if I'm being completely honest it's average and a step above IHOP. It just has your standard brunch fare (this menu is almost identical to Jam & Toast). We're going to give it another try but nothing we've had so far was especially stand out. read more

We had Brunch at Nina's 2 days ago, just a random walk-in. We were impressed : all high-quality ingredients, sensible portions, happy staff. I'm a bit of a Vegetarian so I had the Granola Bowl. It was lovely !!! And filling. Ask them to give you 1/2 Chia-pudding, 1/2 yoghurt when you have to choose. You'll be surprised how really great both are. The ambiance can be described as modern American diner meets college town coffee shop. Our server was great and tended to all our needs. The portions were a touch smaller than most diners I have been too, however we did leave satisfied. The skillet dishes had a meek amount of seasoning, but you could taste all of the ingredients which was a refreshing result as most diners have skillets drowning in grease and cheese! I met my friend for lunch. I had a grilled chicken salad that was just disgusting. It said it came with mixed greens and it only was yellowed iceberg lettuce--some with brown spots and some was part of the core. The salad looked wilty and the stuff on it--like bacon crumbles, cherry tomatoes (cut in half) looked rehashed. I just ate the chicken that came on it. They had no real vinaigrette but raspberry, so I had some on the side. It was not a color that was appetizing, but it was bright red and too sweet. The crowning glory, however, was finding a mini-chocolate chip in my salad . The toilet in the bathroom did not flush either. read more

A solid brunch spot in Forney! There is definitely going to be the typically Sunday morning wait time. But it's well worth the wait. Once you get a seat it's very much fast service from there. I got the Alamo omelette. Which was very satisfying. The portion was huge, despite only eating half of it, still filling but not too heavy. The potato stack has browns were by far my favorite part. Yummy brunch spots but definitely a LONG wait on weekend mornings. Waiting for a table was about an hour and getting our food was also about 20-30 minutes, this place is PoPULar! I got the Veggie Delight Skillet. Mmm it was delicious. The egg and the veggies and the hash and the cheese went so well together. And with a side of toast it made the perfect bite. I wish they added mushrooms - that would have really hit the spot. Also got the Belgian waffle with strawberries and bananas. It was also very yummy and a nice sweet bite. 1. Highly recommended setting a reservation before coming. Very popular local restaurant, and stays busy on both weekends and weekdays. If you're a pancake lover, you'll enjoy the pancakes here - you don't need all the fancy toppings when is a well made pancake! However, with the skillets we requested a few minor adjustments due to personal preferences - hash browns extra crispy and extra dashes of salt and pepper. The food is great and they have fantastic options for everyone. The fresh juice and kids pancakes are definitely a plus. Everyone is friendly from start to finish. The only issue is getting a table, as it can take forever and it's a little bit chaotic as there wasn't a way to hold a spot before we got there, and it was quite cumbersome, waiting around the front of the restaurant with little ones. read more

We went here on a Saturday. It may not look too big on the outside, but inside there is a lot of seating. However, the place does get really busy and packed and you can spend an hour wait. However, you can get on their waitlist and sit at home and do something, but if the table is ready faster than expected, they give you a 5 minute warning. Unfortunately, a minute later they canceled our table, but lucky the staff sat us in 15 minutes which was not bad. The menu ended up being gigantic as there were a lot of choices. As Gordon Ramsay says, if the menu is huge, 95% of the food is probably frozen. However, I felt since the kitchen is big that the food is fresh. I ended up ordering the waffles and berries with the cream cheese. It was huge. Food came out quickly as well within 20 minutes we were in and out. Very busy all the time. The wait usually isn't too bad, around 5-10 minutes. I haven't found anything bad on the menu. From breakfast to lunch it's all pretty good. The breakfast skillets are huge so bring your appetite. I like the eggs benedict and the bruch tacos. For lunch the Cuban panini is hard to beat. Plenty of sandwiches and burgers to choose from. The servers are good but always busy so make sure you ask for everything you need because it might be a while before you see them again. Get a carafe of mimosas. You won't be disappointed. We have been here SEVRAL times. Honestly in the beginning we were pretty disappointed. It was the only brunch place in forney and we had experience a rude server a few times. We were about to stop going completely when there was some sort of shift. Idk if it was the new brunch place opening or what. But since then the food has been hotter, the plating has been much more aesthetic, and I haven't gotten a rude server. I do still feel rushed when I'm in here tho. And that makes me uncomfortable. I know there is a wait soemtimes but when you've already waited, and you want to enjoy your food and chat with friends over coffee and your server continues to push the bill it gets uncomfortable. All in all good spot to go. Extremely generous portions of most foods. Decent ambiance. It's nothing super vibey but it's a nice quaint little cafe feel.
