Rosario's is my jam! Just a few issues. The individual slices never seem to be as good as the full pizzas, for some odd reason. The slices are firmer and thicker, with a little too much cheese and a bit too little sauce, which i personally dislike. I usually come here with a few friends anyway, though, so we get a full pie. That's where it's at. Crispy, cheesy, saucy, even the crust is great! Great bang for your buck, too. If you're looking for a great family meal without putting a dent in your wallet, get some rosario's! The restaurant itself is pretty alright. It could use a little more... anything, to be honest. the place feels a bit empty. That said, it's rare that i even sit down and eat there anyway. The service is good. Nothing of note. First: EVERYTHING SAUCE (for wings/dipping) is a MUST! The pizza crust is AMAZING (I haven't had crust like this in ages). Second: I ordered a FULL size sandwich (for the extra cost it was worth it). And for half I got 2 meals out of it.... this is the remainder of that other half. Highly recommend just getting a full. It was delicious! Lastly: We Stayed to eat there. Overall service was great. Was passing through town on the way back to Drum from NYC. Other places were closed, thankfully. This place is great. Chicken riggies off the chart. The burgers are also fantastic, a definite hidden gem. Quick service and a nice place to sit. Definitely a pleasant dining experience for road weary travelers. read more

This review is based on one slice of pizza I had here. It was an upside down slice with sweet sausage. The sauce was nice. The sausage was crumbly and good. The slice had a nice crunch to it just how I like it. I went at lunchtime and it was busy so the locals must love it here. Place was clean and didn't raise any red flags. I haven't had this pizza since high school. I used to order the single slices and they were pretty good back then. Now I order two specialty pizzas; rosario's supreme and buffalo chicken. I called and asked if the specialty pizza was brick oven; the girl over the phone said yes. When I got the pizza they were NOT. It was cooked on a conventional oven, and not even crispy. I was pretty disappointed and wasted $51 on two pizza. The pizza taste was okay, nothing special about the "specialty pizza." Only thing is that it cost more and has different toppings. This may not be the most famous of the Utica tomato pie places, but it's a good one. Nice marinara on a medium crust with shaked basil, oregano, and grated parm. The crust is excellent too. The pasta dishes (which I dont normally get) are good too..I usually get the hats and sauce or greens. If you are over by Mohawk Valley Community College it's a great stop and @ the Parkway Drug you next door you can pick up Guiseppie's pusties. Table service is great but it's so much better when the service actually comes to the table. Having said that, once our waitress came to the table she was quite friendly. Christmas music made the wait for our pizza tolerable. So did the clean table (I had to ask for a wipe down). Real plates not paper and napkins provided (unlike Parkway next door). Now. The pizza. Ordered the chicken riggies to go. Sauce was very watery. 1 piece of chicken there was only green peppers in it. The garlic bread was very good. All I can taste in the sauce was hot pepper flakes. Every time I order here they ALWAYS mess up my order. The only thing I ever want is a Buffalo chicken sub. One time I got it with MAYO it. Once it didn't even have Buffalo sauce on it. My *second* favorite pizza in the world, next to the great Tony's of Utica! Rosario's Welsh Bush Rd. location was a fabulous, inexpensive piece of pizza that offered a respite from the miserable MVCC food I had during my unfortunate stay at Proctor On The Hill. The location is sunny, clean, and quiet, the food is terrific, and the staff is quite polite and helpful! All in all, a great little pizzeria that makes the fringes of East Utica feel a little less lonely; this part of town can feel rather deserted compared to other parts of the city, commerce-wise. So yeah, definite thumbs-up for Rosario's! Thanks for making my stay at MVCC a little less hellish! read more

Buyer Beware. We just called in an order of pizza and wings from Rosario's. We ordered the "large pizza and 25 wings special" but did not realize we had an old menu. The person taking our order DID NOT EXPLAIN that the special no longer existed and just made our order whatever they felt like and charged us $18 more dollars than we were expecting. When we got to Rosario's to pick up the order, the person cashing us out was rude and told us that he was charging us for a large pizza and 30 wings, and that our menu was out of date. They basically just made up an order for us regardless of what we actually ordered. No attempt was made to correct the situation and we were stuck paying $40 instead the $22 we were expecting. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! If you change your menu, let the person on the phone know when they order so they can adjust it or at least know what they are going to pay. Probably my last trip to this place. This is not how you keep customers. read more

Great pizza, quality ingredients. If I'm in the area for lunch I'm definitely stopping in to grab a chicken wing slice.

I got the riggies and they are the worse chicken riggies EVER, they are literally soaked in oil not sauce, the chicken is way too dry, its like you had chicken lay out for a week and them decided to cut it and fry it. the only good part was the garlic bread... which was my lunch due to the huge disappointment in the Chicken Riggies! read more

Called at 6:55 pm on a Friday night for two fish meals to go. Response, "Actually we are all done with fish for the night." WOW! This is why people in Utica get very upset. I travel around the 50 states - never got this type of response. Very sad - the food is good here - but the young folks need some interpersonal skills training!! read more
