He had me on the calendar before he left my house. While my initial contact with them a year ago went unanswered as my family grappled with COVID in the house, I decided to check them out one more time after I'd received wildly varying bids for the work from other companies. My healthy respect for labor and often mentioned shortages in materials for this job led to confusion on what an appropriate price point would be. I vetted more than a handful of companies to see what the general consensus was on cost, time and permitting requirements. Mike had the whole package wrapped up in a bow that did mirror the general costs across California, no price gouging or bid juggling. Accurate valuation of goods and services provided! 10/10. As far as the contractors that showed up to work, they were all so nice and respectful. I was in one house and my mom was in the other while work was being done, the multi-man crew was earlier than on time at both properties, so the could be on time and beat the heat. They used drop cloths for all of their work, we're highly professional across the board and cleaned up all work debris. They were highly efficient and got the job done much faster than any other company had promised. I was quite surprised and impressed by the speed and accuracy that was present at both properties. They did a replacement at one property, and a whole cut in and placement on another. In a single day, Mike and his teams took us from the dark ages and roasting summers in homes without climate control to some of the most efficient air packages around. Thaaaaaank you, so much. My whole family is already so much better off after utilizing your services. Sort of makes us regret not getting it all done sooner. Called the company to do a repair and they were not really excited to come up from Fresno to replace the switch. At least that was the vibe I got from the woman who I spoke with. Right away I was not happy with their customer service. I checked Yelp and saw Cosmic Comfort installed whole house fans. I called and the woman who assisted me was upbeat and positive that they could fix my problem. I scheduled an appointment and Adam came out. Nice kid. Climbed in the attic and confirmed that the unit was good and needed a new switch. I decided to get a hard-wired switch and an appointment was scheduled. One thing I really liked was the communication through text messages. They also send you a photo of the technician that is responding to your house. I appreciated that and it makes good business sense. Issac and Freddie came out a few days later and completed the project. They were professional and the installation looked good. Isaac tested the switch and showed me how to use it. He had a tablet and processed my credit card through it. Easy peasy. Let's face it, electrical work is not cheap, but I felt it was a reasonable price especially considering my wife would stop reminding me that we needed to get it fixed before summer! The first thing I appreciated about him was his diagnosis of our old AC. It stopped working and other HVAC's diagnosed the problem as the AC unit was "old". Which is was but that doesn't tell us why it stopped working. Jerrid explained it and gave us solutions. We did not work through an insurance agency. We live in a Condo which meant we had to go through our HOA and there were other logistical issues as a result of living in a Condo but Jerrid was very patient, communicative, and professional. My husband especially appreciated Jerrid's way of explaining our options. We feel we got the best option for our money. We are happy to give such a high rating for Jerrid and would recommend him hands down for any AC repair or replacement.
