Our AC unit finally bit the dust, and of course it was while we were entering a triple digit weekend. The team at Cool Tech was responsive and prompt to try to get this sorted for us. We left town for the weekend, and on our return Cool Tech facilitated the drop off of a portable unit to help keep us cool in the meantime. Within a week, they were here ripping out all the old equipment, and we were pleasantly surprised that they were able to get the new equipment here as well. Two days of working on it, and they got everything installed. We're just trying to get some final details like the inspection wrapped up at this point. I should also note that of their pricing has been extremely reasonable compared to some of the larger companies. They've installed Bryant equipment. I was very fortunate to find CoolTech. My tenant had called me to inform me that she had called PG&E because she smelled natural gas in her hallway. They came out and determined that some idiot had installed a non-compliant propane (LPG) type heater in the unit almost two years ago and that it was failing. PG&E disconnected the heater due to the great fire danger and informed me that it would have to be repaired or replaced. The first company I had out told me that there were no conversion kits available to repair the heater and that it would cost over $1000 to replace. I smelled a rat and then called CoolTech who came strongly recommended, and their tech said that he would try to locate a part. Also, I Googled the manufacturer of the 2 year-old, almost-new wall heater, contacted them, and supplied them with the model and serial number. They did have a conversion kit and gave me a list of suppliers in my area (the kit was not widely available and had to be special-ordered). I again contacted CoolTech Heating, talked to Emily, gave her the info, and they were great in ordering the conversion kit and effecting the repairs at a time that was convenient for my tenants. And, as they say, the rest is history! Emily is a real jewel to work with and very customer-oriented. I can't recommend her and CoolTech enough. Thanks!!! read more

Jose and Armando were awesome. Went above and beyond in diagnosing my air conditioner problem. Emily who took my call was awesome as well. Was originally scheduled to come in the next day but she was able to send them on the same day. I had made a couple of calls to get an estimate and Cool tech was the least expensive. We had originally called on a different company who misdiagnosed the problem with our a/c, charged us for a new part that ended up not being the problem, and told us we were going to need a new system. After having the a/c fail continuously the rest of that day and the next, I went to Home Adviser. Within half an hour I had a call from Cool-Tech and an appt. was set for the next day. Jose came out, listened to what was going on with our a/c and what the other repairman had said and done, then quickly (and correctly) fixed the problem for half the price of the previous company, checked the rest of the system, and was courteous and professional throughout.
