I can't say enough good things about Be in Comfort... Hormoz is amazing he has been my go to for the past few years. Last summer 2025 he came out and added Freon and sealant because I possibly had a leak. Now that's summers coming I messaged him and set up an appointment on a Sat, He came out to take a look, showed me that my unit lost a lot of Freon. Turns out I did need a new A/C unit. In short last Sunday our water heater stoped working and all of a sudden we had no hot water. I contacted BE IN COMFORT and he suggested that I first contact PG&E since they offer next day free check up just to make sure it's not a simple fix to save me money. We rent and this unit is over 20 years so I tried to start it and failed. The next day PG&E stoped by in the morning and found no issues other then a loose pilot light copper pipe and did check everything to make sure everything was in working order and was safe. After making the mistake of having our water heater Installed by a Lowe's contracted company, our air conditioner was not coming on. They finally sent someone out, but they had no idea what the issue was, or why their repair affected the ac. I called Be In Comfort and Hormoz came out the next day. Be in comfort responded quickly to a call regarding our AC unit not cooling the house effectively to the set temp on our thermostat. He was able to come out quickly, go through a series of testing to figure out the issue and realized what was needed to complete the job. He came right away within a day or so for the installation and modification for our current unit which involved a valve repair for the unit which was not allowing the cold air to distribute to the rest of the home. My air conditioner was making a loud screeching sound. It's 23 years old, so I didn't know what to expect. Hormoz came out and told me it was the motor that turned the fan, that was making the noise. It's one of the few parts that can be replaced in this old ac unit. The other company I had come look at it, didn't even mention they could replace this piece, they just wanted to replace the whole unit. That was Mels and I won't ever call them again. Our a/c stopped blowing cold air and the temp in our house reached the mid-80s! We were desperate for help. We called three other local a/c companies; one wasn't available until SEPTEMBER, another not until the following week, and one didn't even pick up the phone or return our calls. So here we are on May 31, 2021 and my AC went out once again. Four years ago I used "Be in Comfort HVAC", thankfully I retain his business card. It is Memorial Day and he came out within two hours and replaced my defective capacitor. Cost me $250, an additional hundred dollars more than four years ago, but taking into consideration it is a holiday and inflation, couldn't be any more pleased. I am very pleased to do this review, of Excellent and Professional Service. It is very hot here in Merced, our air conditioner was releasing hot air literally heat for 2 weeks... After buying fans and smothering still in extreme heat, I decided to look for a local Air Conditioner Repair Company in Merced. I found Be In Comfort HVAC on the list of Yelp, which had not only (excellent) reviews of over 20, the comments were awesome as well. I contact them around 6:30 am, and within 25 minutes I was suprise to receive a response that the Owner, could come out today around a certain time if it was alright with me, ...I was suprise that their wasn't an up front just to find out why the Air Conditioner was blowing hot air, my response was of course yes. The Owner, came and checked out what was wrong and immediately knew the problem, and quoted me a very reasonable price and within about 10 to 15 minutes I kid you not he had repaired the issue. Immediately I could feel cold air coming out the Air Condition number 1 and. Number 2, I am so pleased to say its about 1 hour and the temperature is dropping fast. The AC unit was causing a weird leak in one of the vents. Hormoz from Be in Comfort came out to diagnose for no charge the next day we called him. Not only did he give an honest assessment of the HVAC maintenance issue, but he also pointed out potential issues with other systems in the home. He certainly has his clients' best interest in mind because performing preemptive maintenance on issues unrelated to HVAC can save homeowners time and headache; it doesn't add anything to his bottom line. Hermoz responded quickly and came out the next day to look at my AC unit after it stopped putting out cold air in the middle of this heatwave. He doesn't charge to come take a look which is super awesome. He knew right away what was wrong with it (it was super dirty) and suggested that if he were taking it apart any way to clean it he replace the fan since it was making a noise and would likely need to be replaced in the future. He ordered the part and was back the next day to fix it. Super friendly, excellent service. Reasonably priced.
