We were charged a total of $900 total to REPLACE our carpet, because it was "dirty"... again normal wear and tear of a college apartment. We browse and look at website that said $1015 for a for shared apartment, (see screenshot) upon arrival a young girl with None ethic of been a professional, dress attire awful for an office setting. She mentioned starting would be $1550 plus app fee $30 Adm fee $200. I made her aware of what the site said and she smiled, made random excuses as to why it said different. She basically mocked me with her smug smile....attic to draw you in and see if you will be sucker to pay such high fees for ZERO value, here is a list of the following observations. Place is filthy dirty...they only take care of the entrance beyond there its smell weed, pee, cigarettes, skunk and all other you can possibly think of. Two months after we moved out, they sent us a bill for final charges for $300, all the bogus charges. There are three other roommates still occupying the place and they billed me for trash of $100, grease, mattress, and etc...When they walked out with me, they said everything looked good. This is highway robbery. They take advantage of college students and shamelessly steal their money. This place is shitty. Trashes are always lying around and the floors are always dirty. 1 Star because 0 isn't an option. My daughter moved into Nine20 2 years ago and generally had a good experience. The problem came at move out (due to graduating). When she requested a walkthrough at move out she was told it wasn't necessary just leave the key. FYI the state of Arizona requires the landlord to do an in person walk through when requested (do not move out without one) unfortunately we did not know this so didn't do one. However as soon as she brought it up they were required by law to offer it which they did not. After her move out she was charged for a light cleaning, damaged sofa cushions and a missed utility payment. 1. Her utilities were on autopay through their company. No invoice was sent for May (also required by Arizona law). They subsequently added it to the July bill and it was paid. Apparently they didn't bill many tenants for May that were also on autopay and they reconciled those in July as well. To further this the May payment was 46.00 however on the move-out they charged her 75.00 and in addition a 50.00 late fee. 2. The light cleaning was so light that it was a 40.00 charge. Shouldn't all complexes do their own light cleaning before moving in a new tenant. She and her mother cleaned it to spotless before move out. 3. the sofa cushions. The sofas are low grade synthetic leather. Hers was at least 2 years old at move in (previous tenants lease term). While the fabric at move in looked good after 2 more years it began to fall apart (think cheap synthetic gaming/office chair). The charge for this was 650.00. The live expectancy of PU/Synthetic leather is 3-5 yrs. The depreciated charge of 650.00 would imply that even if this was actual damage, the sofa would be about 3k new, at best this is a 700-1000k sofa (loveseat). Normal wear and tear is also illegal to charge in the state of Arizona. Every lessee we know of at Nine20 were charged similar things. It would seem they try to pass all routine costs on to exiting tenants. Be very aware of this if considering this complex. Also make sure to demand an exit walkthrough. I would advise asking the age of all furniture at move in and having them put in writing what their policy on normal wear and tear is as well as actual damages (should they occur) with regards to depreciation. Also getting an up front value on the furniture would be advised also. Finally be aware it is likely that the previous tenant did the cleaning (so don't expect it to be sanitary, concerning to say the least) This company has some very shady business practices and might be best to avoid all together. After appealing they agreed to wave the cleaning fee. They however did not remove the electric even though they were provided with their own statements showing it paid on time. below are some representative photos of the wear of the couch cushions. Hers was more extensive (more like first photo) but only on the seating area. It was actually covered with a fabric cover for the entire 2 years she lived there and was discovered when removing the cover at move out. read more

My experience at Nine20 has been underwhelming to say the least. I HIGHLY recommend looking at and listening to the reviews listed because they are true. Everything seems to break extremely frequently and they do not care about dealing with maintenance quickly. The day we moved the AC was leaking and caused multiple wet spots in the roof, it took them about 2 1/2 weeks to come in, and all they did was paint over it. our WIFI was down, which took another 2-3 weeks to get dealt with. And worst of all, our dishwasher was flooding and every time we use the sink it causes more water to flood the floors. This was an "emergency request" and it's been over a week with no response. My roommates and I are truly fed up with Nine20 and there is zero chance we renew here next year. read more

Filthy, overflowing rotting garbage, constant crime, can take a week to get repairs. Completely nonresponsive incompetent staff. Elevator lobbies on each floor are overflowing with rotting garbage on a regular basis drooling ooze across the floor. Dumpsters on each parking garage floor go unemptied and trash is piled on the ground in 108-degree temps for days creating a health hazard and an odor beyond belief. Floors and hallways are filthy. There was vomit spewed down an inner hallway that sat for over a week. Try walking past that each day. One of 2 elevators is routinely out of service. It took a week to fix a water heater, we had only cold water for a week. Same service to fix leaking fridge which ended up ruining the floor. 3 calls to place a repair order, when the guy finally showed up a week later, he didn't even have the problem reported correctly. I overheard the maintenance guy saying he had so many repair orders backlogged he didn't even know where to begin. Homeless sleep on the sidewalk outside and can walk right into the parking garage. The so called secure inside bike storage is routinely vandalized. THIS IS INSIDE the building behind security entry. If they can't take the whole bike, they cut off parts. You must keep a bike in the room. They stole my roommate's front wheel, and I lost my entire bike at Nine 20 storage. So much for security. There is none! LOL 1 bike has had it parts cut off and locked to the bike storage rack for 3 months. Upon lease termination they falsely charge for non-contractual routine wear items like carpet. They will charge you for carpet ($400) or threaten legal action in 5 days. I got a " pay in 5 days for new carpet or you will face legal action"! The apt was perfectly clean on exit and there was normal use only on carpet. Apparently, they do this routinely using scare tactics and a short timeline to scare you into paying and ruin innocent young adults credit if you protest. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. DO NOT be taken in by the lobby, pool, gym, phony tour and web pictures. DO NOT let your child stay here! For a year the excuse has been we are understaffed but the same issues continue day in and day out. Boy do I have a lot to say! Is it possible to give less than a one star rating? First I want to start by saying that before you sign at Sterling Nine20 take a look at these photos of what the apartment complex looks like constantly. For $1000 (or more) a month you can get a much better deal at a better apartment with a communicative staff, better amenities and more. These photos are an accurate representation of what the experience is like living here. I am aware college apartments are hard to keep up with but this is inexcusable and if the staff made up for it in other areas, it might be better- but they don't. The staff at the front is beyond rude. Always. Even if something is going wrong with the apartment that is their fault. They have little to no follow up and everyone I know that lives here at Nine20 either has a leak or bugs in their room, a disgusting smell coming from their dish washer/hallway or WORSE. The staff does not take responsibility for their mistakes and will probably make you pay for something that is their fault. I am writing this review because I have never encountered an apartment for student housing as bad as this. My daughter had moved in August to the complex and since day one there was a water leak in the ceiling above the kitchen. The apt smelled musty and the ceiling was damp. After 4 months of no repair from maintenance, no response from the property mgmt or the leasing office, my daughter and her roommates are now sick from the mold that has been there since they moved in. There are multiple rooms where there is water damage and in our situation it has not been resolved. I do not recommend renting here. read more

My daughter live in Sterling Nine20 Tempe for 2 years. Location is good and is a great place for college students. Yes, it is pricey, but thought we would pay extra for safety, security, and to deal with a reputable business. Our issues are with their service, or lack thereof, and reasonableness upon move out. Firstly, her bike was stolen from their locked, security camera monitored, key card access bike storage room. We filed a police report and requested security footage and card access info from the period in which bike was stolen. They refused to provide any info or assistance. The pool was always being closed for various excuses, mainly maintenance, and they had several water leaks, damaged hallways, etc...that seemed to take weeks if not months to get fully repaired. My final issue was with move out. After first year she moved units within the building with no issues. Upon move out, however, they charged all of these excessive fees for cleaning, carpet wear, etc... The unit upon move out was left in the exact same condition as it was received and better condition than the 1st year inter-apartment room move. However I guess when you are leaving instead of renewing or extending a lease, they decide to try to gouge you for $400 in bogus additional fees. I suggest looking elsewhere for much better service and better handling of issues. read more

My time at nine20 has been filled with hearing neighbors getting "intimate" through the paper thin walls. Horrible tenant care, extremely delayed maintenance responses (even for broken appliances), a trash valet service that would rather write you up for "in proper bag tying" than actually take your trash, and dumpsters that pile upwards of 6 feet with trash in the arizona heat. Overall, my living experience at nine20 has been hell on earth and under no circumstances should you live here either. read more

I would not recommend living here although it is one of the "nicer" student housing apartments. They have terrible customer service and never pick up the phone. The lobby is ran by students who live in the apartment themselves (which some of them are very kind and trying their best) however they never have the answer to anything you are looking for or give you and excuse to your problem. I have called and emailed Nine20 about 6-10 times since I have moved in and to this day September 29th I have not received a phone call or email back. When I first moved into my unit it the floor was covered in dog hair and was not "move in ready" I spent hours vacuuming my carpet as well as trying to remove stains and gunk from my carpet. Instead of just moving in I spent the whole day having to clean my unit, but I was told that it was "move in ready". Since move in my roommates and I have been sick for a month (due to the uncleaned filters we had sent maintenance requests for when we first moved in & the dog hair that we can not get up from our carpets). We also have a huge water damage stain on our ceiling in our kitchen that they have also ignored. One of my friends that lived in the apartment last year had the same thing issue but their ceiling ended up cracking and creating mold everywhere causing them to live in a hotel for a week. There are also several cracks around our front door from water damage as well! read more

Bad experience all around. Stated with 20+ emails stating in November warning us to extend lease or face possible loss of apartment. My lawer says this is "fraud in the inducement." 10 months into the lease, problems with roommates wen unresolved. Since we had arleady signed the new year lease, the manager and receptionist assured us that we could find a new tenant and get out of the lease So we did. Advertised in many locations, talked with many who were interested, and found a new tenant. We had her apply, and were assured that we were out of the extended lease. A few days later, the manager called to inform us that were not out of the lease, they had given a different apartment to our find. We had to have her check recorded phone calls to verify that we were told we were released. Manager confessed to the "misinfomation" and told us she had found someone to take over lease one month later. In the meantime, we, who had extended our lease had our rent raised to $1,300 a month while new tenants were being charged $999. To top it off, they charged us 85% of deposit to transfer leasee. This is not common practice among other apartments in the area. Most have no charge if you can find someone to take over lease. All told, I feel their dishonest and unfair practices cost us one month's rent ($1300) and 15% of deposit ($1,275), not to mention the way we were treated and lied to on more than one occasion. Amenities constantly broken or not able to be used, especially during COVID lockdown. No reduced fees or credits for advertised amenities being not available, was told they are free amenities, not included in what you pay for lease (this includes the pool). Being charged to replace the carpet for normal wear and tear even though I leased for 3 years and they didn't have to clean the carpet for three years ($544.63). Pool being closed as punishment for vandalism being done on facilities by non-residents. Had to pay for my car being towed from the garage because I never received a "new" parking sticker the second year I lived there, although I paid the monthly parking fee. Never notified of cleaning charges and getting sent to collections. Was told a walkthrough was not needed, so we were not able to debate the issue. Don't get me wrong, there's a grey pool and workout room BUT that doesn't make up for the fact the hallways are NASTY and always have mud all over AND they smell like shit. On top of this, the staff is horrible. They treat students like were in elementary school and are so rude unless a parent calls. Aren't we supposed to be learning how to live alone? Going to parents for an issue doesn't seem right, especially at a STUDENT HOUSINg Apartment building. Additionally, I called about 4 times and left 4 voicemails. I didn't get a single call back any of the times. Finally, they will nickel and dime you TO DEATH! No matter how nice you leave the rooms or what, they will charge you a minimum of $200 for move out. ZERO STARS! BEWARE!! Do not rent from these crooks! They pile on bogus fees and damage charges when you move out for things that are considered normal wear and tear. And if you read the other reviews you'll notice that a lot of people get charged the same bogus fees related to "replacement of carpet" at around $400. Carpet that wasn't even damaged! It just needed a quick shampoo if even that! I assisted my daughter with her move out. I made sure we left her suite clean. I even personally scrubbed her shower and washed her bathroom floor while she vacuumed and repaired any tiny nail holes. Then at move out they slam you by sending you ONE bill via email! Email which we all know can get rerouted to your spam folder or lost in the masses of other emails you receive. No courtesy or reminder bills. No written notices even though they have your mailing address. Then all of the sudden your credit gets hit big time only to find out that they clowns have sent your bill to collections! This is how they treat their tenants who have always paid their rent, on time in full every single month. To add insult to injury, these crooks and clowns moved a roommate into the apartment without first allowing the other tenants to approve the roommate. This roommate was aggressive, unfriendly, and was stealing from the other 3 girls. They lived in fear the whole time this girl lived there. They had to keep their doors locked at all times, and refused to go into the kitchen when she was around. She also stole from us as she didn't pay any of her utility bills. Unfortunately because our name was on the lease (our mistake), we were responsible for all the utility bills whether or not they were paid. When I called Devin @nine20 to complain that the tenant THEY moved into my daughter's apartment was aggressive, stealing and wasn't paying her share of the utilities they washed their hands of any responsibility. I approached the tenant myself and she told me to #uck off. And that because she was from Canada there would be no way for me to come after her for non-payment. She pretty much laughed in my face. In the end I had to pay out of my own pocket over $500 in unpaid utilities that were her responsibility. There should be some kind of legal recourse and responsibility on the part of @nine20 for moving a DANGEROUS tenant into the apartment. DO NOT RENT FROM NINE20. They are thieves! I moved into sterling when it was brand new, I was very excited to be living there, but management ruined that over time. They are always looking for something new to add to your bill. They will take advantage of you and try to get the most money they can out of you. I've had way too many issues with this property, and management has been entirely unresponsive so I will gladly share my experience down below. Parking: First off, you're going to pay almost $90 a month for parking, and you'll be lucky if you can find an open spot on your floor. Also, almost everybody I know at this complex has been towed at one point. Both my roommates, their guests, and other residents have all mentioned it. I was also towed for parking in a spot that I later found out was reserved. The reserved spots are not clearly visible and will cost you about $180. If you're going to tow for that, at least repaint the spots or make a better sign so we know we can't park there. Move out: I was unfairly charged for a carpet replacement, and I sent an email to dispute it. My roommate was also charged and from the reviews it looks like several others were too. Management is refusing to respond to my emails about this. I am not paying for "wear and tear" by the front door. The carpet in no way needed to be replaced. I am pretty sure they didn't replace everyone's carpet, and they thought they could just get away with charging for carpet replacements instead of doing actual inspections. Stop trying to take advantage of young college students. Electricity: They also charged me electricity for August when I moved out in July. Also, they force you to set up APS before moving in, so only one person is responsible for it. We had a roommate refuse to pay electricity for months, and there was nothing management could do for us, so we had to pay for her so our electricity wouldn't get shut off. That is NOT what I signed up for. We have separate leases for a reason, and I shouldn't be held accountable for a roommate that I didn't know nor did I want. Roommate Matching: Someone also moved into our apartment with a dog. We were not notified a dog would be living with us. We had cats, and my roommate was allergic, so this was definitely an issue. The dog was barking and using the bathroom in the common living area. I couldn't do my homework, and my cat was terrified. My roommate's allergies were getting pretty bad and again, management did NOTHING. General: People left their trash out everywhere. Our sinks were constantly broken, and our water wouldn't get hot. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!! DO NOT RENT FROM NINE20!! I wish I could give them ZERO stars... They give a great tour, give away snacks and t-shirts at the beginning of the school year and only spruce things up for move-in and Parents Weekend, but on a normal day, there is always trash in hallways, scuff marks on the hallway walls, an elevator not working and trash overflowing in the dumpsters inside the garage. My daughter lived here for 3 years. She always paid her rent on time in full every month. She exited the apartment with a credit in her account expecting to be refunded. Then she was hit with false and excessive fees and "damage" charges for things that are considered normal wear and tear (carpet wear, scuff marks on the wall, 1 tiny nail hole in the wall and the wear on a desk chair that was as old as the building). The carpet in her room was at least 3 years old. She was at least the 3rd resident (that she is aware of) in that room living on that carpet. She also kept an area rug on top of the carpet, so she rarely ever walked on the actual carpet. Upon her move into her room, there was no check-in form given to her to complete and sign. No evidence of what condition the room was in before she moved in. The tenant that lived in the room before her violated the lease agreement by smoking cigarettes in the room on several occasions and housing a cat (Nine20 was aware of this). Due to my daughter's extreme allergies and asthma and only at her request, did they agree to shampoo the carpet before she moved in, otherwise, they would not have done so. The room was also not painted before she moved in. ***Oh, I should also mention that the smoking roommate was the same roommate that made racist comments to my daughter, threw her backpack containing her $1000 laptop on the floor, wrote her threatening letters and made her feel unsafe in her own home. My daughter kept her bedroom door locked at night while sleeping and attempted several times to seek assistance from Nine20 management who did not take her complaints seriously!*** Upon moving out at the end of her lease, Nine20 falsely charged her for routine wear on items like carpet, painting and a cleaning fee for the water splatter on the mirror (they should be cleaning and sanitizing rooms for new residents anyway). They charged her for carpet replacement, the wearing down of the chair, cleaning fees and painting fees (a total of $600+). She received a "Pay in 5 days" email statement with "Move-out Charges" PLUS late fees and threatened her with legal action in 5 days! The apartment was clean upon her exit and there was normal wear and tear on this 3+ year old carpet (she took photos before handing in her keys). Apparently, from reading all of their reviews, they do this routinely using scare tactics and a short timeline to scare you into paying and they ruin people's credit if they protest. We protested several times!! By phone and by email. I researched and referenced Arizona Tenants Law as well as consulting an Arizona Tenants Advocacy group, letting Nine20 know that what they were doing was wrong excessive and illegal. My emails, references to our tenant's rights and pleas were ignored. This property is managed in a horrible and unprofessional manner. They place students at the front desk and have them answer the phones, but the adult management team is always unavailable or refused to speak with me. Kelly is rude and unresponsive to resident (and parent) emails and phone calls. SHE SHOULD BE FIRED. There is no way to reach "upper management" at Costal Ridge, who is apparently the investment management group that owns Nine20, as I attempted to do so several times with no response from my many calls and emails asking for their assistance. Sterling was great at first. I moved in Fall of 2018 so it was all new, which was nice. The below are just a few things to look forward to if you live here. Pluming - Everyone in my apartment had to put in multiple work orders due to sinks filling up and never draining. This was a constant issue for many people I knew living there. Not just the bathroom sinks, but also the kitchen sinks. It would fill up when washing dishes and then the disposal wouldn't work so there would be a gross filled up sink until maintenance made it over to our apartment to fix it. Valet Trash - Valet Trash is very nice convenience that I was initially excited for when signing my lease. However, the halls constantly smell like trash. I was embarrassed to bring friends over to my apartment because I never knew if they would have to walk through a putrid smelling hallway to get to my apartment. I would rather walk the 2 minutes to the trash shoot than walk through a dumpster every day Parking - Parking is full. Not the whole structure. Half of it is completely empty with "Reserved" spots nobody owns because they are ridiculously overpriced. Therefore, if you try to park at night or on weekends, there is no chance you will be parking on the floor you live on, which would be fine, but not worth the $85 a month you must pay, especially when you are driving through a half empty garage no one can park in. Towing - Your guests will be towed. Everyone I know here has been towed before. Multiple guests of mine have been, as well as all my roommates. The tow truck parks in the garage, which has no service/signal. So, you better register your guests' cars before entering the garage because by the time they get to your Wi-Fi and fill out the form, the car will be towed. Also, be careful when parking because the word 'reserved' is written in yellow paint you can barely see, so if someone else is driving your car who does not already know where they are, they will not see that clearly. Package lockers - Another convenience this apartment complex has to offer. Sign up for this or else they will give your packages to your roommates under in lockers, and not even inform you a package arrived for you. You then cannot retrieve the package yourself. There were multiple times I had packages that said delivered on the tracking, but I received no notification to pick it up. I would go to the desk and they would just tell me they don't have it or know where it is. After the first time, when my roommate found it in her locker, I asked them if they could check if it was mistakenly put into my roommate's locker. They said they had no way to look that up and could not open any lockers for me. I do not believe it is legal to give my packages to someone else. Especially in an apartment complex such as this where we are all on separate leases. Keys - They have a phone app you can use instead of a key which is great, except it doesn't work on half the doors in the complex and will randomly not open doors. If you rely on that, you will be locked out. Needing to bring the physical key as a backup defeats the whole purpose. They are better off not advertising that at all. Furthermore the door to access my hallway from the garage was jammed shut for an unacceptable amount of time. I had to walk all the way around the building to access my apartment Light Rail - If you live in an apartment off Terrace Rd, you will constantly hear the light rail go by, loudly, especially if you try to keep the windows open and are trying to sleep APS - We were charged for APS after we moved out for the 2 weeks in between our lease ending and the incoming tenants' lease starting. When I called to ask about it, I was told they are now under new management so they have no old records and cannot help me with anything in the past. I'm stuck paying THEIR APS bill, as they told us if we shut off the electricity before moving out we would be fined. Not sure what they wanted us to do. Move out - Everyone I know got charged for a full carpet replacement. not a cleaning, not a patch replacement, the whole $350 replacement. Charging for unnecessary carpet replacement is one thing, but the even more terrible part is they did not even replace the carpets. They just charged everyone to keep the money. Legally, landlords are NOT able to charge for routine carpet cleaning and if a full replacement is required they MUST provide a receipt if asked. My roommate was charged and asked for the receipt, as her carpet was in perfectly good condition. They are not able to do so because they did not replace it. They are unresponsive and unhelpful. If you look at other reviews, they clearly did not have new carpeting in every room. There was not even time between us moving out and new tenants moving in to properly inspect, charge and repair every apartment. This could have been a great apartment, but management runs it poorly. For a four bedroom they are getting $4,000/mo. It is not worth it. read more

To avoid having future possible tenants be mislead and get harassed by the property manager Kelly like I was, I wanted to ensure I posted the honest reviews that were previously posted. Kelly is known for using personal vendettas and using them to try to take advantage of tenants and charge them unrightfully and ILLEGALLY. I was a victim of this. Me and my roommates had to get a lawyer involved for the charges to be dropped. Kelly assumed because we were young girls she would be able to take advantage of us. The only reason they were dropped is because the dinerstein companies handled it properly. She berated me in front of the leasing staff when I attempted to speak with her about the issues prior to me going to her supervisor. She refused to provide me with her supervisors contact information. Illegally charged my roommates $305. The list of horrible, unprofessional, and illegal acts by the property manager go on. read more

When you move out they charge your $465 to replace the carpet. Horrible treatment of students! You would think they care about their reputation and their unfair business practices. The carpet was not even cleaned at move in, since this was a move from one bed to another in the same unit. They could care less. read more

They did not clean my unit before move in, which had huge piles of cat hair. They just charged my entire apartment for carpet replacements after we deep cleaned and made sure it was spotless. Our maintenance closets smelled like mold all year, and no matter how many requests we put in, no one ever fixed it. Previous tenants broke our curtains and after contacting the company multiple times, we then got charged for the damage. the move out charges are insanely overpriced and changing a clean carpet in one small room is not $400 worth. read more

Worst experience ever! Due to Covid my daughter had to move home 8 months before her lease was up, so we paid $1,000 a month rent until a roommate was found and we could relet her room. The new girl agreed to pay the $805.00 relet fee to move in early. Little did we know, she never paid and instead of Sterling trying to reach us and let us know the bill would go to collections they sent us straight to collections, ruining my daughter's and my credit score! We only just found out it hadn't been paid while trying to get a car loan a few days ago. We never ever missed a payment before!! read more

I've lived here for about a year now - only renewed because I couldn't be bothered to move apartments my final year. The location is decent - convenient to Biodesign, ISTB4, and the GLV - but that's about it. Service is especially abysmal. Our microwave has been broken for a month and a half now. My roommates and I have each put in numerous maintenance requests, and one has even started going to the front desk several times a week now that it's been so long with no response. Each time she's been assured that someone would be in the next day to fix it, but we've yet to have anyone even look at the microwave. For four college students, a microwave is pretty essential to being able to prepare meals in a timely manner, and for the rent we pay (~$1000 a month EACH with all the arbitrary fees they tack on - so $4000 a month total for a 4-bedroom), it's absolutely unacceptable for it to have been out this long. Aside from the service, the place itself is also pretty crummy. The walls are extremely thin, the appliances are super outdated (especially given how recently the complex was constructed), and the hallways are disgusting. The dog park is always super gross (which is in part residents' fault, but there is no effort from management to maintain it at all). At the height of the pandemic, management hosted events that flagrantly ignored social distancing guidelines, and I've never seen anyone at the front desk wear a mask. Even if the location is appealing, there are other places nearby which are way better value. I'd look elsewhere for student housing if I were you. read more

I had practically no issues with the unit itself, it was spacious and adequate for student housing. Rather the issue is how things were handled by the staff and management. Multiple bikes were stolen from the "secure" bike storage room and the staff didn't do anything to increase protection or take action even though there are supposedly cameras everywhere. My friend moved out early and then his apartment got broken into. Many valuables were stolen and yet the staff themselves NEVER informed anyone in the complex of this major safety issue because it was their fault. They failed to safely store away his key so it was easily stolen from the front desk by a stranger. Upon moving out, my roommates and I were all charged ridiculous fees including carpet cleaning. This service should be automatically provided by the apartment for the new tenants, so the charge makes no sense in the first place. Clearly they were just trying to make money because they could not provide any pictures of the cleaning service nor an itemized receipt, so they eventually dropped it. Safety and honesty are not a priority for this management company, but money is. read more
