I absolutely love this shop. Azar always takes care of me and definitely knows what she's doing. I have called several times for very last minute requests and she always steps up to the plate and delivers. The shop itself is a 'no frills' type of place but the arrangements and flowers themselves are beautiful. The experience and customer service as a whole is extremely accommodating and non-pushy. Azar has awesome ideas and can put beautiful pieces together in extremely short periods of time which continues to amaze me. She clearly knows her stuff. This was a wonderful shop close to my work. I didn't know exactly what I needed but had good reviews so decided to stop by late notice. Azar was super nice and friendly and wanted to go extra mile to see what the occasion was for so she could recommend what she thinks would work. Since I didn't know much and just gave some colors as reference and occasion she took the time to put something nice for me. I cannot offer high enough praise for the work Azar provided us at my son's wedding this past weekend. As a professional event planner working on my son's wedding from California, it was necessary to exchange ideas and information by email and photos (and which adds a certain level of anxiety). Plus, let's be fair...I'm doing my son's wedding and I had high expectations. To add to the challenge for Azar, the bride and groom had decided upon a historical chapel which was 45 minutes away from the upscale modern reception site. Many people would have easily said "no, thank you" or decided to charge an exorbitant amount of money because I was an "easy mark". From the start, she understood what we were trying to accomplish and worked with our many logistical issues. She was always calm, professional, upbeat and offered really creative solutions resulting in beautiful scenarios at both sites. I was so incredibly impressed with her attention to detail and her understanding support of the position I was in. She arrived ahead of schedule and worked efficiently to have things set up in a narrow window of time. Her designs were spot on and I will add photos as soon as they are available. I could not have been happier. I would highly recommend Nirvana Flowers and Azar's work to anyone within driving distance to Addison (or if you are from out of state like I am). I found Nirvana Flowers through Yelp. After reading the reviews I decided to add this vendor to my list of 'call and inquire more' list. A little background about our situation... when I came across this business on Yelp I was a bride planning her wedding which was only 2 months away. Even though we had so little time to plan our wedding we still had several floral vendors to pick from. The reason we decided to go with Azar (Nirvana Flowers) over the other three floral vendors was 1) customer service 2) price 3) attitude. Azar understood our time crunch and our budget. She paid attention and listened for what I wanted and showed through pictures. She also gave recommendations on how I could change arrangements to help fit our budget. I also appreciated that she was never, ever pushy. I decided to keep our arrangements to bridal bouquet, bridal party bouquet and boutonnieres, and King's table arrangement. Azar never questioned my decision to keep it simple and never tried to persuade me to add more arrangements. Thank you Azar for being a part of our special day. Azar is tremendously talented and professional :) I'm so glad to find her for my wedding flowers! I've always love Ikebana style arrangement so I was so excited when I saw her work on Yelp! She has been so sweet and so easy to work with from the start. I could instantly tell that she's really passionate about her work, and she really gave great advice to help me build my vision of the flowers. I didn't give her much specific instruction for the centerpieces for my reception tables, just a few pictures that show the airy-ness and expressiveness of the flowers, leaves and such that I was looking for. Same thing for the altar flowers and my bouquets. And I told her that I really like tropical flowers :) My guests were totally and completely blown away by her work! My husband wasn't a believer in wedding flowers and he has been to dozens and dozens of weddings, but when he saw what Azar had done for us...he couldn't stop talking about how Azar created the soul for our overall wedding design. Extremely elegant, intricate, story-tellingly expressive, yet so simplistic. My mom has been practicing Asian and Western flower arrangement for years and she goes to flower expos and competitions with her friends frequently, and she was also so impressed by her work. My mom kept telling me how much time and effort it would take to work on each piece that Azar did for us. She's usually very picky, but she was so happy with every single arrangement Azar created as well! I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I'm so proud of Azar's talent, and she makes me want to do another wedding just so I could have more of her creation!! This review is late being written, but I still think back and am so disappointed in the service. Especially after the amount of money I spent. My wedding was 11/3/17 and I had given Azar many pictures of exactly what I envisioned my wedding flowers to be. The colors, the shape/size, the flowers used, etc. I was living in Florida at the time so my stepmom went by the shop and met with Azar and sent me pictures of the sample bouquets which were beautiful and exactly what I wanted. So to avoid an extra delivery charge, I told Azar we would pick up the flowers the morning of the day before my wedding. We had spoken about the time we would be by to pick up many times before, AS WELL AS on the phone THE DAY BEFORE we were picking them up to make sure everything would work out. Morning of the day before my wedding. We had agreed to pick them up at 11am bc I told Azar our WEDDING REHEARSAL & DINNER were happening that evening and we needed to get ready. Me, my husband and one of the groomsman in a separate truck are on our way to Addison from Mckinney which is a 45 min drive at least. As we're driving I get a call from Azar asking if we can come later because the centerpiece bouquets aren't ready. (Mind you we had literally discussed the time we would be by to pick up the flowers the previous night on the phone) I said no, we are already on our way and had a wedding rehearsal to get ready for like I had told her already. We get there and like THREE of my 20 centerpiece bouquets are put together. Not only that but I was SO UPSET at how my bridal bouquet looked. It had dark purple flowers which was not a color I wanted in my wedding and also had succulents in it and not once had I said I wanted succulents and nor was I asked. It completely went against the style of my wedding but at that point I just wanted to get my flowers and get out of there. I could go on and on about how bad our experience with her was towards the end. The bridal bouquets were disappointing. Since the centerpieces weren't at all being close to finished, she put the flowers and greenery in tubs and we had to leave with them like that.... the next morning ON MY WEDDING DAY my mother and bridesmaids spent about two hours putting together my centerpiece bouquets. Which should have been done the day before by our florist. Don't get your wedding flowers here if you don't want to be dissatisfied, disappointed and EXTRA STRESSED the days leading up to your wedding. read more

Azar was an absolute blessing who I found just a few weeks before my wedding! I had a medical emergency in my family so my budget became constricted and my planning time got all messed up. I wasn't even sure I could afford flowers anymore but she swooped in and saved the day! Not only did she work well within my budget, she carefully took my taste into account by going through all my favorite pictures with me and anything I sent her and expertly crafted beautiful arrangements that pulled in all the different elements that I loved! I asked her to make my bouquet, a flower crown, a toss bouquet, and corsages and boutonnieres for my wedding party. Each piece was so perfect and every flower so fresh! I"m ashamed it took me this long to write a review, so I will take my time writing it. Azar is AMAZING. My wedding was on 06/01/17 and i came to her a month before and showed her a picture or a certain color of roses i wanted for my wedding. She took one look and was like I can do this. I understand with weddings a month is short notice but she did not hesitate. Not only that but she on top of having my bouquet ready (it was a courthouse wedding) she threw in the grooms boutonniere for free! we even talked about what color would go best with his suit to compliment my roses. The day came and I was unable to pick up my roses right when she had them ready (9am!) i was getting my hair and makeup done so my Sister in law went, we didn't have a vase to hold them so Azar let me borrow one of hers, so sweet of her! As soon as my sister in law showed up with the roses everyone in the salon was complimenting how beautiful they were and especially the color I was very satisfied. Everyone at our dinner and wedding loved the flowers, my mother even asked to keep them because she liked them so much. Fast forward to June 10th, when i was finally able to go back and return the vase she stated she still had flowers from my bouquet and if id like to have them! i said yes i would love to as it was my moms birthday and i could give them to her, they were dying and not as fresh and she said she couldn't sell them to me but i could have them, not only that but she also made such a cute arrangement adding baby's breath and ribbon and tissue to make it cute for my mom! i could not have asked for better customer service and will definitely be coming back ! thank you so much Azar for making my wedding that much more beautiful! read more
