After working the holiday weekend on the road, I stopped in, hoping for a cold beer, home style dinner, and nice, relaxing atmosphere. Sat at the bar, Lost Boys movie on the big screen. Ordered a draft, and the stuffed pork chop dinner. So far, so good! Draft not very cold. Side salad comes out, I literally take two bites, and my dinner is there. So, I figure I'd better eat the dinner while it's hot. Baked potato is ice cold. I send it back to get heated. Start on the pork chop, it's slightly warm, but I keep eating it. Potato comes back well after I'm done with the dry, slightly warm pork chop, and it's still cold. I eat a few bites, leave about 3/4 of my second draft, pay my tab, still tip the bartender 30%, and leave. Bartender was ok, but not really concerned that my meal wasn't done right. I was in the bar biz for 15 years. I'm not picky. But there are simple things that need to be done right, that aren't difficult. Good food, cooked right. Timing on soup, salad, entree. Cold beer!!!!! Friendly, aware service. This place had none of that. Really disappointed in what I thought was exactly what I was looking for. I doubt I'll ever go back. read more

Great food, terrible service. This place may be the best food in Armstrong County, the problem is, the service is Bad, really BAD. It falls on management, the night we were there, the cook quit so the waiter says. The parking lot was full, the dining room full. My husband and I have been going here for almost 30 years, especially on Fridays for the crab legs. Have been disappointed so many times we stopped going for a while, but went this past Friday hoping it had improved. what a huge disaster, waitress with her bare stomach hanging out and pretty much her chest too, but whatever, I'll look away. Everything shows up at the table at once, dinner salads and entrees. My salad was served in a broken wooden bowl, the French fries were cold and tasted like old grease, my husbands baked potato was brown the whole way through with black skin from being in foil for probably days and days. The crab legs are supposed to be a pound, but AGAIN was shorted and served maybe 1/2 pound and stone cold. No owner or manager to be found but the bartender came out and tried to write down my complaints but had attitude. Restaurants have received tens of thousands of tax payer dollars in Payroll Protection Money and Employee retention credits. But the service is worse than before. No excuses either, they just don't want to pay a real chef or decent waitstaff. The bill was comped, I would not have paid for anything except for the shrimp anyway, I work way too hard for my money to let this crap go. read more

It's been a while since I have eaten here. They closed their dining room off from the BAR area and this is a HUGE improvement. You do not get the BAR atmosphere at all and it has made the dining experience much more pleasant. Have eaten here 4 times in the last 3 months, their dining room is real clean with lots of seating and a very nice atmosphere and a TV. Their menu has more options ........ salads, wings, sandwiches, and an option to get 1/2 or full sub sandwiches. Daily specials are clearly posted. Previously I rated them as OK bar food.... but I have to amend my review and say that they have made SIGNIFICANT upgrades and would totally recommend eating here. We have been coming here for about a year. Literally never had a bad meal or experience. We have sat at the bar or in the dining room. The gentleman server in the dining room is by far the best. The food isn't fast but I don't care. The quality certainly makes up for it. Portions are huge and well worth the price which isn't crazy expensive. They have added some new menu items that I'm excited to try. If you're considering dining there, go for it!! You won't be disappointed. read more

I really want to like this place, but I just can't. We've either ordered take out or eaten in and the only things that are truly good are their apps. Their wings, poppers, ultimate fries, cheese balls, zucchini, cauliflower, and stuffed peppers are really good. Their steak salad was so underwhelming I tossed it. Previous visit, they got everything wrong. Oh, and no beer list. This last visit, 3 of us ordered burgers and 1 ordered lasagna. 1 burger was ok, 1 was terribly dry, and 1 was half the size of the bun. At least they were homemade. My husband got his soup right before our food came out. Our burgers came out and halfway through eating we finally got our ultimate fries (ordered as a meal). We went on Mother's Day I read afterwards that there was suppose to be a free desert? I was not offered one? We waited over 1 hour for our food. Our waiter took our drink order and then never came back. We flagged him down and he acted like he forgot we were his customers! He didn't wear a mask and was sniffing the whole time! I'm not sure why this is being listed as 'mexican', there are like 2 menu items that are mexican based. Anyway, this is penultimate bar food. I've never sat in the dining area, but if you're looking for some excellent fries (the buffalo fries are INSANELY GOOD) to enjoy with a drink, this is the place for you. The service has been mixed, I've had really super excellent servers and then unfortunate slow ones that couldn't handle more than one thing at a time. I think for a rural bar tho, this is to be expected. I've always ordered a ton of food at the bar and it hasn't been a problem. The blooming onion app is a bit on the salty side, but mix in some hot sauce with the ranch dip and it's heavenly. We're all in love with the pizzas. I think it's different each time, but I've had pizza's where the crust was buttery and seriously off the charts. I've never had bad food here! read more

Simple down home eatery. Food is good, sometimes wait times for food can get a little long, but small town atmosphere makes you comfortable enough to wait. Room is small so in winter try and sit away from the door to avoid cold air. read more

Took my mother to this place about a year and a half ago. Major regret. Staff was rude, there's minimal natural light in the place, the food (chicken wings and a burger) took nearly 40 minutes to arrive (at a time when there was a total of maybe 10 customers in the whole restaurant) and when my burger finally arrived I told the waitress "that looks like something that came out of a vending machine and I'm not paying 6 dollars for that". At least they comped me for it but dammit I was still hungry. Wings weren't too bad as I remember but not worth waiting 40 minutes for in a drab depressing place with few windows.
