The "pumpkins" they had were fake styrofoam cut outs, they looked nice but they were fake so that was a big disappointment for my self. The food vendors they had were kinda whack. The funnel cake vendor was really backed up they started giving back people their money. It sucked because even tho their fryer was broke they still kept selling cakes and telling people 10 minutes. They could of kept it real and closed down earlier. The teriyaki vendor was pretty good but most of their food was sold out. Over all the the experience was so so the display of the "pumpkins" was alright the lighting was decent. I wouldn't come back ever again tho it really didn't wow me.

Lots of details but expected a lot more. Maybe more themed areas. Maybe more interactions. I don't know, but I'm bummed and all of my friends I convinced to go and buy tickets for the family are pissed about "wasting money" too. Gee thanks for the coupon code Pumpkin Nights. Family of four still costed $55 Looks like all the pics and videos advertised are from out of state Pumpkin Nights.

What used to be located in the National Bowling stadium is now only located at the old Carson City prison. It has been out of service for over a decade now, but this used to be the location of some executions. It is now open to the public for various tours and now this haunted house. Last year I went to the haunted prison and there were some really good scares. They played into the prison theme a lot but also came up with a jungle theme that turned out really good. There were 4 areas total where you had a small queue in-between each building. Different characters would dress up and spook you as you waited in line. Scare factor was fully there, and had me questioning my own senses. I love the one part where you're in total darkness and you have to feel around to make your way through. This is a small part of the whole experience, and it's something I look forward to after going to the old haunts at the bowling stadium. The location is incredible and really adds to the spookiness. I know a lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes from Holly, Dustin, and all the crew. It's a labor of love and it's really cool to see what they come up with every year. I really enjoyed the different photo ops before the haunt and the little games area before waiting in line. My only suggestion would be to ensure that enough staffing is present to help direct the lines around this area. If the queue was long but you also wanted to play games, it got a bit crowded and some people cut the line without knowing. Be sure to buy tickets in advance for your preferred date/ time, and happy haunting!!

Did I mention that this is housed in the national bowling stadium? Talk about special. While you wait in line, wanna skip ahead and go bowling where they film big Lebowski you can do that let the person in the front now. Another surprise there's two attractions now this year, I'm so excited to see how everything pans out. There's gonna be two bars food truck entertainment outside entertainment inside bring your friends, bring your family bring your coworkers bring your enemies. Definitely wear tennis shoes & have phone for flashlight or mini flashlight. The walk to the ticket entrance is very dark and your on outside gravel/dirt. Also warning for those who are sensitive to smoke, the fog/smoke they use for the fear factor is very thick and if you have any migraine/eye issues they do use strobe lights in the haunted houses. There are 3 haunted houses and it's difficult to see which line is which when you first arrive. I recommend the following order to get the best results out of visiting here. Note there are several "exit" signs inside each haunted house but isn't the "right" path to take through them. The staff may redirect you to the right direction. 1st go to the Zombie haunted house - very low scare but be prepared to duck down through part of the course. 2nd go to the Psycho Circus - I'd say mid level scare and length. 3rd go to Cemetarium last - this is the bigger haunted house with better scare. Be prepared when walking that there are different levels and could slip if you don't take it slow. Overall 3 star as the staff was extremely nice, costumes were great.

I didn't like the long drive to park or the $25 parking charge. The business demands profit right from the start. There were bundle deals for a few attractions if you liked the combo provided, but changing the combo was not an option. I did appreciate that some of the attractions can be purchased individually. The dinosaur statues set this farm apart from the others and makes it feel prehistorically cool. We were going through the ultimate side with another family, and a little girl from their group started to feel a little nauseous. The nice man with the chainsaw noticed and walked her around to escort her out while still not breaking character for the rest of the group. Big kudos for that. I find it so so smart to have the setup that they do in regards to the first and second maze. The first maze is defining family friendly, no jump scares, a lot of cute spooky stops for the kids throughout the maze. Then if you upgrade to the ultimate side, you get to enjoy the jump scares with a bunch of murderers. So well done. They are even so great at guiding groups who may get a little confused on where to go (like us lol) without breaking character. Just an overall fun place to be. They also have a tower for an employee to watch over the maze for safety reasons or if anyone strays from the group and may get a little lost. We went during the daytime which was very very fun but I would totally recommend going at night if you're looking for that elevated scare factor because I bet that maze in the dark is exceptionally spooky lol. I wish we explored more of the other things they had out for people to do. Like, the games and prizes. I think they said something about a free movie at night that they project with popcorn. They also had a petting area for the goats. Overall such a great time. My kids have been begging me for hours to go back. Will probably do a night run sometime before Halloween and will definitely come back next year.
