It's a little tricky to get into the mall from the street as you have to walk into the garage and there are few signs directing you to escalators that take you up to the shopping areas. The mall is open air, so you might need to spend time inside some stores to cool off at times. Signage is actually surprisingly poor, and it was legitimately challenging to find specific stores at times. They have static printed directories in a few places, but some stores are actually located below in the garage area which was quite confusing. They also do not have mall concierge desks or other staffed counters to help with directions. They do have a large variety of stores here including upscale and designer options and our favorite Psycho Bunny. They have a variety of dining options as well from full restaurants to food court options. This is overall a pleasant place to spend a few hours shopping in Honolulu.

Last christmas they had a bunch of cute photo ops. I'm glad i took the time to go down because it was really cute and apparently the last christmas for my dog, Nala. I'm glad i was able to capture some memories with happier times when she was somewhat healthier. On Thursdays - they have farmers markets in the evening. Don't forget to bring cash with you (which i totally forgot). There are some food vendors that will take credit card tho. Recently they've been throwing little events around Kailua town too. The lei bus has been there in the past and we went to go do our free photo op with them in February. This past week they had the sip and shop over the weekend. You collect stamps around Kailua town (a lanyard is provided) and you can win a $500 gift card for completion. You can get a bunch of freebies with the lanyard too! There was mocktails, a lot of drinks, cotton candy, and shave ice! The Lei bus was also there again too for the cute photo op. it was really busy at this event since the farmers market was also happening that night, so parking was a little limited compared to other days.

I've had my blood pressure checked. I've had a minute massage. I've bought cuts air plants to gift others. I've bought big and small labyrinths. They utilize the parking lots throughout the entire center to spread out the kiosks and it keeps the flow moving around instead of blocking any business. I used to shudder at the thought of driving from Hālawa to Koko Marina now I just make it an adventure based on the street fair of the weekend. So many fun places to eat too.

The original IMP consisted of thatched-roof huts offering souvenirs, local crafts, and food. The banyan tree in the shopping center is really impressive. A banyan can reach a height up to 100 feet and spreads laterally indefinitely. Aerial roots that develop from its branches descend and take root in the soil to become new trunks. It's really a highlight of this mall to walk around this enormous tree. There are a huge number of well known stores here with something for everyone. We enjoyed the shopping but did not stay to eat here although there are a lot of options.
