Anchor tenants, a 24 hours Longs Drugs ( Diamond Head side ) and Times Supermarket ( Ewa side ) keep the income steady for Bishop Estates. Eateries are plentiful as for fast food there's McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Subway, and Kam Bowl. You have an obligatory Japanese restaurant - Teishoku. A fake Chinese fast food eatery in Panda Kitchen; with a ( real one? ) in Liu's Chop Suey. Peppa's provides a Korean alternative. What...no Viet? Personally, interested in trying takeout at the Sumo amen & Curry restaurant...you'll get it when I post it. Starbucks is the main reason that I visit here...what other coffee places open at 0430a? Lots of stalls and there is a ramp that provides 2nd level parking.

With lots of free parking that alone is a great reason to visit this location as they have many eateries with Zippy's is the largest along with Egghead Cafe, Ahi and Vegetable, Elvin's just to name a few along with some services like Massage & Spa, Mili Nail 2 for some manicure or some fun at the newest addition Claw Kingdom whatever it is you can find it here. It is no accident there was NO LINE at dinner time on a Wednesday night, the community must already be aware the Gen whateverZ have absolutely no customer service or common sense when handling online ordering, preparation and presentation of orders. My 12 year old had online order number on her phone, two (2) standard boxes with two (2) 24 oz drinks, " to go." How do YOU think this order should be packaged? Well, I instructed my daughter to grab the order as I went to the lavatory and I would meet her at a nearby table. As I approached the counter, I saw her ask for a drink holder. And then I saw her attempt to stack the boxes atop the other!!! Wth???? Hold up, Baby Girl??!!! "XqquuuZzee mee?? Please may she have a bag???" My child says, " I got it!" " I'm sure you do. Wejust spent $30 here on 2 meals and you are here alone. The least they can do is offer you a drink carrier and food carrier!" The counter clerk gives me the bag, I say TY, pack it, and turn to leave. Another staff says something to that clerk, who then turns to me," what name is the order under?" I give them my name. And walk away. In most work situations, these are training issues, and I have great compassion for ignorance. However, upon observation the patron appeared to be struggling with gathering and collecting the order in their possession therefore the transaction has not been completed yet. They have a little bit of everything from bakeries to grocery stores. The venerable Kamehameha Bakery opens at 200a on weekdays but most establishments open their doors between 800a and 930a. The Marketplace - a seafood and farmera market in one space - opens at 800a; they have food vendors inside if you want takeaway. Lots of eateries...a couple of salons...and Kalihi Pet Center. Four low-rise buildings make up the center spanning from Dillingham Boulevard to Kalani Street. Yes, until the rail is finished in this area - traffic is horrid. Entranceways / exits are on Kohou Street and Kalani St. Lots of parking stalls for patrons. Hours are primarily between 800a and 400p for most businesses.

I do come here for many of the business and honestly it's in The Markeplace at City Square which is the place right beside Chuck E Cheese and it's to sharpen my knives at AFrame. This area is in the midst of the crazy rail project as it's heading directly in its path for us to access yet you don't have to entree via Dillingham as the roads are nuts along with Kohou Street is closed for traffic just use the other entrance from Kalani Street as it's filled with so many great local small biz and lots of free parking it's the place to get lunch, produce shopping or just a Sip like I did at this new spot that just recently opened. Whatever it is they basically have it and I just can't avoid it even with the crazy construction going on in fact makes me want to support these biz further. Thank you!

Waiakamilo Shopping Center is an open-air strip mall with McDonald's and Firestone on the Dillingham Boulevard end and bars at the mauka (mountain) side. There are many bars here: Club Lilac, Club Eclipse, and Club Lucky Frog... to name a few. I haven't been to any of these... LOL! I have been to Original Pancake House, Lucky Box Restaurant, and Ha Long Pho Noodle House. There's a veterinary clinic and a liquor store that I haven't patronized. I didn't even realize that there was a second level on the mauka end! There are many exits and entrances - one on each end (Dillingham Boulevard and Kaumualii Street) and about three along the length of Waiakamilo Road. Just drive slowly and carefully... Be safe out there!

The Manager there said that they do not have the proper equipment to mount lower profile tires. "We can still do it but your rim may get scratched or damaged". Of course I didn't agree to this and ended up having to put the tires in my trunk and leave. Such a limit in services (low profile tires are not at all rare) is already bad enough from a National Tire Shop. What made it all so worse was but they didn't tell me this until I was there for my installation appointment. Why didn't they work with Tire Rack ahead of time so Firestone wouldn't come up for installation for low profile tires? Also when Firestone received my tires, why didn't they let me know they couldn't install it. Instead, they completing my reservation both online and on the phone. After all, they had my tires for over a week before my appointment day. Or at the very latest, at least when I had checked in that morning and not after waiting an hour when my car actually was going into the repair bay for installation!

When I said "I'm sorry" because I didn't understand the question, she rolled her eyes at me. Later, she suddenly asked me to show my movie ticket to confirm whether I had just been to the cinema. I understand that checking tickets may be part of her job, but her attitude was unprofessional and disrespectful. I have been to this cinema many times before and was never asked to show my ticket in this situation. I also asked friends who work in the same industry, and they said this is not a normal practice. It is acceptable to check tickets if necessary, but the way she communicated--rolling her eyes and not explaining clearly--was inappropriate. Clear and respectful communication is basic customer service.

This seemed like a more local, authentic experience. The food shops in the building here made it feel like I was traveling overseas, from the smaller seating area and the fish market. There is a variety of foods, mostly Filipino, Chinese, Vietnamese, and poke representing. Towards the back there is a fish market, where the fish are so fresh and I guess you could say the displays were beautiful. Outside of the main food court area are some vendors. I didn't get to check out many of them, but they did remind me that of other Chinatown shops in other cities. I loved that this felt so familiar, yet was a new experience!
