UPDATE REVIEW: Thank you for the generic response to my review. I've added additional photos of the text messages asking me to come back in so they can fix the groom. If my dog was aggressive and that's the reason why the groom wasn't complete, WHY ASK HIM TO COME BACK???? WHY IS IT THAT WHEN I PICKED HIM UP YOU SAID HE DID GREAT! This is all cover up to point blame! You also issued me not even HALF of what I paid. I paid $183, you issued me $72 because YOU DONT ISSUE TIPS. How is this okay for you to keep the tip?! Ridiculous. Seriously DONT COME HERE. They are untruthful. They have no idea how to treat clients and they do not know how to communicate! They are not admitting they are at fault saying it's my dogs fault! ------------ My dog was groomed by Fiona. I gave her a heads up that my dog does better away from me, once he is handed over he is fine. My dog has been getting groomed since he was a puppy, this is nothing new to him! Upon arrival, Fiona did not seem welcoming at all. She did immediately approached my dog in a fast motion which if anyone knows dog behaviors this is a big NO NO. She said "let me take him" I handed over the leash and she rushed him to the back. I gave her the benefit of the doubt that this is a new dog and she just needs to see how he does. After a few minutes of him being in the bag, I assume she tested to see how he does being lifted, carried and placed and taken out of the kennel. All makes sense! She comes out and says "okay he did fine!" She points at the price and says $145, however the link she sent me via text and on her website says $135 very inconsistent numbers. She asked how I want the hair cut to be, I said please do not make him bald or shaved down. He can stay short, keep his eyebrows but trim it and trim the length of his ears and his muzzle area. I get a call at 12pm that he's ready. She comes out saying to get my dog from the kennel because he started to grow when being approached in the kennel. I grab him and he is so happy! Wagging his tail! She even showed me where she cut around his face and her hands were very close to his face. He smelt very good and looked good. She told me his ears were very dirty and she cleaned them, cut the nails and did everything and that he was great for the groom. I paid $183 in total for the groom but if I receive exceptional outstanding service I don't blink an eye and am happy to pay. When we got home, I looked him over and he still had Matt's on his ears. The AD said brush out for 15 minutes--clearly my dogs ears were not brushed. I looked in his ears and his ears still had debris in them! I understand not being able to get deep in the ear canal but the easy outer ear area had gunk. The full groom AD stated a sanitary trim but his sanitary area was not trimmed at all! It was the same length from when he came in! I checked his paws and none of his paws were cut or trimmed! Not even the bottom of the paw pads! At this point I am furious because I paid $183. I check his nails and NONE of his nails were cut at all!!! I reach out to Fiona, who groomed my dog and she asked me three times for me to come back for her to get it fixed. She said this was all very surprising to her, I told her I took photos of all the errors. She said she cut my dogs nails but if she cut it too short it'll bleed however they were not cut at all! They are still pointy and long from when he arrived! At this point we are going back and forth and then she throws the "my dog started to try to bite her" card however my dog being aggressive or trying to bite was NOT mentioned AT ALL! Not at pick up, not through our exchange in messages, the only time she decided to say it is when I asked for a refund as I do not want to go back to her grooming facility! I assume she is saying that to make an excuse as to why nothing was done. If this was the case why wasn't it mentioned AT ALL? I am extremely frustrated and I definitely do not recommend this grooming facility. It is half ass work for paying an arm and a leg. I expect exceptional service the first time, not after I complain about the lack of detail of the groom that you then decide to ask me to come back and do it over for me. If my dog was trying to bite, why did she offer to trim my dogs nails if I come back and that she'll fix everything, I truly believe that this was just a cover up, because she started to mention it AFTER I declined her offer for her to fix it! I asked for a full refund but the owner is only offering me half! why does it take someone to complain for people to start doing a good job or to start doing what their job actually entails? Why can't it just be done as expected the very first time! read more

I usually don't like to leave a bad review but I feel like I need to in this case. I took my dog to this groomer since it's closed by my house. But after this mess I would rather drive further for his well being. I would not recommend this place to anybody unless you hate your dog. I picked him up from grooming when we got in the car he was shaking so I thought ok maybe it was a new groomer. When I got home I saw that his eyes were red. But I thought nothing of it maybe it's just allergies. Shortly after a few days there were discharge coming out of his eyes so i booked an appointment to see the vet. They did a scan and one of the eye were infected and also had a cut in it. I explained to the doctor that this happened after grooming. The doctor told me most likely is the tools that wasn't properly sanitized and it cut him which cause ulsar in one of his eyes and the shampoo they were using most likely caused the irritation and got infected. I brought it to the groomers attention, there are two owners in this place. The First Lady named Fiona didn't want to deal with it so she told me to contact the other owner Ming. So I reached out to him, he just said sorry and it's most likely that he's allergic to something at home. I told him it all happened right after I took my dog there. He didn't want to deal with it and tried to offer my 20% discount on the next visit. The nerves he has, I mean anybody at their right mind wouldn't bring their dog back to this place after what happened. My vet bill was over $800 total and I still have to take him back soon. I'm not expecting him to give me my money back but at least acknowledge what is going on and have some accountability. I've been messaging him back letting him know what was going on but he hasn't responded at all. He would probably only message people back on here with excuses since it will hurt his business with bad reviews. read more

I took my 2 cats for the first time and the owner was so patient at handling them, she took her time to explain her process and I could tell she has experience handling cats. Both my cats came back super clean and well taken care of. She even taught me how to brush my cat's hair correctly depending on their length. We are look forward to the next visit! Nowhere was it mentioned in their policy or during booking or drop off that owner has to be present for cat grooming. Stayed an hour to help the groomer to groom my cat for which I'm expected to pay full price + tip to someone else. Had to miss my appointments due to this. Our cat pixel was sick for a week .He was so stressful from going to the clinic many times for hydration and blood draw. He was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy so we don't want to be stress for his grooming. We scheduled him in Nuinui grooming. He was in so having discomfort driving to the place. Chen the groomer was so gentle in checking him while he was on his crate. After 2 hrs, we picked him up ,he was so relaxed , not in any distress and so satisfied with the service. I'm a new cat owner and recently got a ragdoll cat the past weekend. My cat's hair is outgrown and since it's getting hot, I wanted to get him groomed and looking fresh for the summer. I made an appointment through yelp (very fast replies and call for confirmation). When my sister brought the cat in, they started on his nails and haircut. However, since my cat's new he freaked out and got really mad. Niuniu explained to us that our cat was too angry and that we shouldn't continue with the haircut. They also told us to bond with the cat first and come back. We really appreciated them letting us know and not forcing the cat to do the haircut and bath. While leaving, we tried to pay for the nail cut and some of the haircut since the cat hair was shorter but NiuNiu said it was okay! It was really sweet of them! I would have given negative star if there was an option. Absolutely the WORST grooming experience of my 20+ years owning a dog. First of all there was no internal communication. I told the reception at the front that I Do Not want anything dramatic. Do not cut short just trim and make the fur even. Sure enough this important message was not conveyed properly and my Pom almost had a boo cut if I did not step-in in the middle. Second they promised the job would be done in 2.5 hours. I called almost 3 hours later, they said another 20-30 mins. I showed up 30 mins later, the owner said another 30 mins. The owner Fiona said they were too busy and thus the delay. I'm a little surprised by all the 5-star reviews, and I was disappointed overall with my grooming appointment and won't be back. I brought my dog (10lb Cavalier) here for the first time. The energy of the workers made me concerned immediately upon arrival. The male receptionist and female groomer seemed rather uncomfortable when handling and being around my dog. The overall energy in the shop felt cold, and when my dog expressed mild to moderate anxiety symptoms, the groomer didn't do much to try to calm her down. I completely understand that some folks get their vet to give their dog something before an appointment, but the groomer didn't really try just petting her or giving her affection in front of us, since that's normally what helps my dog relax around a total stranger. They also told us we could stay for 15 minutes but we only stayed for maybe 5. The receptionist also told us 1 hour and the groomer told us 2 hours when we were leaving. I was surprised by how long it took, considering she didn't get all the mattes out of behind her ears and told me she wouldn't and would just do a simple scissor cut. We dropped her off at 1:30 and didn't get her back until 3:40. Her body looked fine (a little sloppy on the cuts) but they didn't trim her ear bottoms noticeably or even clean up her few eye boogers on her face before giving her back. Just some oversights that I think would've taken a little more care to notice. 1-star feels a little low since they did the job and nothing crazy happened, but I just wanted to indicate that I was let down by all the positive Yelp hype. I'm gonna prioritize finding a groomer with better bedside manner with my dog and a shop that doesn't feel so medical, cold, and transactional. read more

For shaving the pur they charged me $20 extra. I said it was too much and they discounted for me $10. In total I paid $120 Plus tip. My puppy's fur was short and long. It was uneven shaved. He toenails were long and short, some of them were pointed. I would not go back. Too expensive but the service was not good. read more

Before handing cookie over to Fiona, I was allowed to come look in the back room, so I could see where cookie would be groomed, bathed, and where she would wait in a kennel if needed. What really stood out to me was that I was allowed to watch the entire bath process. Fiona was fantastic. My cat was terrified of water and has never had a bath before, and he reacted badly when put into water. But Fiona was incredibly patient and skillful. She took her time to make sure he was comfortable and didn't rush through anything. Her patience was remarkable, especially given how difficult my cat was. She was also kind to offer me advice on how to handle him and suggested some helpful products.
