I had the keratin treatment done by Kim at Nix. I had gotten the treatment done a couple times when I was younger but I wasn't really a fan. This time around, I absolutely loved it! Kim did an amazing job and the price was very reasonable. I also appreciate the fact that they pushed me to get the Keratin Express treatment rather than the full one - I had made it clear that if the full treatment was better I would've preferred to pay more for longer lasting results, but with the length and thickness of my hair they insisted on the Express instead - I appreciated the honesty behind the fact that they wanted me to get the best treatment for my hair rather than just whatever costs more. I will definitely be back to get my next treatment! read more

Receptionists were very rude. Terrible business etiquette. And the stylist didn't leave my highlights long enough or tone it so I now I have to go elsewhere and pay to have it fixed. If you're a blonde, save your time/money! read more

I can't believe that you guys don't have one review on here yet!! Well here's your first one. I told Terry last Friday that we needed to get you on the map, so here you go! I've been going here for the last several years mainly just to get my nails done, but I got my hair done for the first time a few weeks back. I just wanted a blowout, and Terry was available. Well...she is amazing!! I was so happy with the job she had done (she's absolutely meticulous btw), that when I considered getting the Keratin treatment, I knew there was only one place I wanted to go. So last Friday I booked a 9:30 appointment with Terry and off I went to get this mysterious Keratin treatment that everyone has been talking about. Let me say this.... IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT. First of all, Terry was awesome! I swear she flat ironed 3 strands of hair at a time..haha..but I truly believe this treatment will only work miracles if it is applied correctly and by someone who really cares about the outcome. My hair is generally pretty curly, and I have a ton of frizz. I had heard that this miracle treatment would literally let you air dry your hair, and it would dry straight, silky and smooth. I did NOT believe this could be true. But it is!!! The 3 days I had to leave my hair down was definitely tough. No ponytail holders, headbands, sunglasses, clips, etc.. you get the idea. And I was at the beach of all places! By the third day my hair looked wet it was so greasy. But... on Monday I finally washed my hair with the Keratin shampoo and conditioner and let it air dry. My big experiment! Oh my god! I really was amazed!! It air dried straight, silky and smooth. No joke!! And this morning I washed it and just blow dried it with a flat brush. And same result! I swear this treatment is a miracle! And I'm told it's really good for your hair too. So there it is...I've spoken my piece. This salon is great! The girls there are hysterical!! The Keratin treatment is amazing!! It's a little pricey..don't get me wrong. But so far it was well spent money in my opinion! read more

I found this tiny gem by accident and so very glad I did. I was lucky enough to get a last minute appointment with Eleanor who proved to be an amazing colorist and stylist. Eleanor discussed the entire color process and walked me through her ideas of a new cut, which I am VERY happy with. I could not be happier with their services, atmosphere, pricing and even the friendly customers surrounding me with laughter and wisdom. I do not live in Margate full time but have already booked my next appointment because, as any gal knows, when you find a great hairdresser you stick with them. I am a new fan! read more

This will be my 3rd time at Nix and I was scared to use a new colorist as I had gone to Peggy at Huntingdon Hair salon for years. I must say Eleanor at Nix is awesome. She gave me a beautiful color & I have received many compliments. Cheryl whom I met at a Ventnor restaurant Annette's highly recommended Eleanor and she was right! Eleanor suggested I try the Keratin Express treatment which I did and it was amazing. She did a meticulous job on my already naturally straight hair. I'm at the beach full time & it can be humid. I have had not a drop of frizz in my hair at all. I have always let it air dry but for the last 2 months I don't even have beach waves unless I want them. I'm at the shore for the summer, and needed to get a touch up on my color. I was looking for a salon that used the same Logics Matrix color products that my regular colorist uses on me at home. I found the right salon in Nix. Not only did they have/use the product that I wanted, but they couldn't have been nicer. Elly did my hair, and it looks beautiful. She listened to me, as I explained what my regular colorist does, and although it was slightly different from how she usually uses the product, she was willing to do it. I couldn't be more pleased with the result. I now have a trusted salon at the shore! read more

i was happy with nix salon the works are so nice and i didnt die my hair in over 3 months because my last hair stylist burned my hair and it broke. she did a great job and i'll go back in 6 weeks, maybe i'll try the kertine thing everyone is talking about. read more
